Can't open picture database located at /home/egh/Pictures.
Lists of Folders is shown in Digikam but on clicking them to open the Pictures
in them, the page appears Blank.
Have tried several times including reinstalling Digikam, logging off and
rebooting, without success.
I am a user of Linux since Mandriva 2
I have been a user of Digikam for ages and it is my preferred photo enhancing
program.Help!

I can confirm this behaviour on Arch Linux, same version. Though it does not
occur regulary. It does crash on start, like in the other bug reports. And
sometimes the complete feed list is lost.

Help! Krita has been crashing whenever I open it or attempt to open new
canvases. When it does not crash, the pen pressure does not work. I have tried
multiple suggested solutions, such as disabling and enabling OpenGL,
uninstalling and reinstalling Krita, restarting my laptop, updating Intel
Graphics (which I couldnt get to actually update), and manually activating pen
pressure. Nothing works! I use a Wacom Intuos, my laptop is a Dell with Windows
8. Attached is the BugView report of me attempting to draw in a canvas, not
having pen pressure, trying different things to fix it, and ultimately- Krita
crashing. Please help! Thank you!

Went to add the world clock widget to the desktop, kwin crashed.  I was also

3 Pictures with diferent KDE settings. Missed menu when i choose "show menu in
window".

Missed menu panel, when in KDE I selected show panel in the window. When I
selected show panel in widget, i see application menu on it. BTW, I have the
same problem with Dolphin.
OS: Maui 17.03
KDE Plasma: 5.10.2
KDE Apps Version 17.04.2
QT Version: 5.7.1

Still affected in Plasma 5.8.7 (Frameworks 5.35.0 / Qt 5.6.1), using Nvidia GTX
970 with propietary drivers 381.22

When I start a game, compositing get off automatically, and if I alt+tab to the
desktop, the task manager doesn't update anymore, although I change between
virtual desktops, the same apps are shown.

After I close the game, and compositing auto enables again, if I alt+shift+f12
to disable, the same apps appear in the panel, confirming the past freeze state
of other comments.

The compiler flag tests for -gz=zlib and -gz=zlib-gnu currently use
AC_COMPILE_IFELSE, but as these are basically linker flags it appears this is
just checking that the frontend supports them.

For example if binutils is configured so that gold is the default linker the
tests pass:

checking if gcc accepts -g -gz=zlib... yes
checking if gcc accepts -g -gz=zlib-gnu... yes

but the actual use of them fails:

| x86_64-poky-linux-gcc: error: -gz=zlib is not supported in this configuration

Changing AC_COMPILE_IFELSE to AC_LINK_IFELSE means that configure detects that
-gz=zlib doesn't work but zlib-gnu does, and the build works.

note, in c++11 you can do "thread_local static" which is probably a good way to

I have redone the update from fedora 23 to 26.
This time there were no gstreamer crashes.

Perhaps in the previous update had remained plasma or gstreamer old file or

Interestingly, there are quite a lot of repaint() calls... Typically, an
update() should have been enough, as far as I understand. In any case, I do not
know why these calls were added - maybe because the cursor appearance changes
from normal to insert mode and vice versa. I'm currently testing, but not sure
I get this done today.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

When done with a multi-project KDevelop session I closed the project I had been
working on and then quit KDevelop.  I got this crash, which presumably stems
from unloading the snippets plugin too late during global destruction, when the
KXmlGui GUI factory had already been destroyed. The actual bug is in Kate, but
one could also argue that KDevelop should take care to unload the plugin early
enough during exit.
FWIW, I never use it.

As many as several times per day, KMail stops getting emails from a Google
resource (the only resource currently configured) using IMAP/SMTP. Restarting
akonadi (`akonadictl restart`) generally fixes it.

If I leave the terminal I used to restart akonadi open, I see a long list of
errors that might be relevant. With some filtering intended to ignore kgapi
errors, which are from a different resource and probably not relevant, and to
protect my privacy, here are some examples:

It seems unlikely to be a duplicate of #343114 but I thought I'd mention it in
case it is; the two do seem to have some superficial similarities.

After a while, this became bad enough that I removed the resource entirely and
re-authenticated (especially obnoxious because I had to make a new
application-specific password for SMTP). It worked like a dream for a week or
two and then the same problem cropped up with increasing frequency.

Note: I'm not really sure which version number to report. KMail says that it's
5.5.2 but apt says that it's 4:17.04.2-0neon+16.04+xenial+build23.
akonadiconsole says it's 0.99. In both applications, the Libraries tab of the
About window reports that the version of the KDE Frameworks is 5.35.0. Apt
reports version 4:17.04.2-0neon+16.04+xenial+build31 for the akonadi-server
package. I'm running a vanilla installation of KDE Neon.

I've installed digikam on a different PC (with ArchLinux) and it works.
The problems seems related to my installation.

So I must rebuild digikam in debug mode, and I'll do the same job with

My machine is set to a certain timezone (EEST right now). I got an email sent
from someone in a different timezone (PDT). In my inbox, the original email
shows the correct time (i.e., the time as seen from my own timezone).

When I click "Reply", the composer appears and adds the text "On 
 you wrote:". This text has the correct date as seen from the
original author's side (i.e., it shows the date in PDT), but the timezone shows
my timezone.

* Alice writes me an email, the time is 11:00 AM PDT or 09:00 PM.
* My inbox shows Alice's email (correctly) as 09:00 EEST.
* I click "Reply"
* The composer now shows "On 11 July 2017 11:00 AM EEST". It should be either
"11:00 AM PDT" or "09:00 PM EEST"

`date` shows my computer as set to EEST correctly
The inbox is correct
The message headers are correct
