[plasmashell] [Bug 375912] Global Menu is not working with GTK apps
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375912 Jessechanged: What|Removed |Added CC||jesse.dub...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Jesse --- So, if one wanted to submit a bug to GNOME to request support for Plasma's global menu protocol, would they file it against GTK+ (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=gtk%2B)? And if so, which GTK+ component would it correspond to? (Can't hurt to try and request that the dev's add support for this feature -- it's a really nice widget that Plasma offers; it would be even better if it worked with Qt & GTK apps, you know?) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Mouse speed is system wide and not managed by KDE, but it needs to be. A high DPI mouse simply leads to a terrible user experience. [Breeze] [Bug 382935] New: Action icon "download" is symlinked to "document-save", not "edit-download"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382935 Bug ID: 382935 Summary: Action icon "download" is symlinked to "document-save", not "edit-download" Product: Breeze Version: 5.10.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Icons Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org Reporter: kosse...@kde.org CC: kain...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- In the Oxygen icon set "download" has been an icon on its own, and thus being used by many applications for actions being about copying something from the network/internet to the local system. There has been also "edit-download", which is symlinked to "download". In the Breeze icon set though "download" is itself a sym-link to "document-save". With the resulting icon, being the floppy disc and thus the typical symbol for "save to storage", misses the annotation of what the location of the storage is, it could also be the server. Which is a regression for all programs being developed based on oxygen icons, given download is something different to save. It breaks applications which have a mixture of icons based on the oxygen symbol metapher, where the arrow as indicator for download has been relied on. See e.g. "download-later" and "download" icons in Breeze seeming to be about something really different, while actually the first should be just a delayed version of the second. So IMHO "download" should be rather a sym-link to the "edit-download" icon (which in Breeze is an icon on its own). There seems almost no maintained application anymore which uses the "download" icon in KDE repos (cmp. https://lxr.kde.org/search?_filestring=&_string=%22download%22&_casesensitive=1 and ignore false hits), the maintained ones had been ported to use "edit-download" instead (I just did that in KDevelop). Still would be nice for 3rd-party apps and anyone developing based on current Oxygen icon set to have the Breeze icon set not use some unexpected symbolism for the plain "download" icon. Or the other way around. To summarize: plain "save" symbol just feels wrong with "download" icon name, does not meet developer expectations :) So please consider switching to sym-link "download" to "edit-download" instead. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 382934] New: Unable to access system drives / folders & error on rendering location, on Ubuntu system
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382934 Bug ID: 382934 Summary: Unable to access system drives / folders & error on rendering location, on Ubuntu system Product: kdenlive Version: 17.04.3 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: mailfo...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- I'm running a recently installed Kdenlive Version 17.04.3, on a PC running Ubuntu Mate 17.04 (incorporating Mate Desktop Environment 1.18.0). Kdenlive was installed yesterday via the official ppa: (sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable) I am able to add clips to a yet-unnamed project through the Project > Add Clip menu choice. In implementing this command, I am able to view all the folders on my Ubuntu system, and successfully import a clip for editing. However, other commands that also require system drive and folder access fail to work. For example, the File > Open command opens a white box -- but does not show all the individual folders on my system (although it shows some of the drives at left). If I try to click on an individual drive, it just hangs - but does not display the folders in the drive. I am, however, still able to close the box through the "Cancel" button at the bottom. The File > Save As command works even less well. In this case, it just opens up a plain white box -- but there are no drives or system folders of any kind displayed. No "Cancel" button either. I am, however, able to close the box by executing the "x" icon on top of the box. Interestingly, through testing, I realized that I am actually able to render a project -- but there are problems here, too. Selecting the "Render" button on the main GUI opens the "Rendering - Kdenlive" input box. However, I am unable to type anything in the "Output file" input area. And clicking on the "Select Output Destination" box to the right opens up another plain white box (that shows some of my system drives at left -- but not the individual folders, as I already experienced above). However, as an experiment, I tried just hitting "Render to File" to see if it would force a rendering. It did -- it created an "Untitled.mp4" file -- but in a new folder called "DoRcruments" off /home/user (file:///home/user/DoRcruments)! I'm wondering if the problem is related to some missing library or other component that ensures proper network resource access between Kdenlive and Ubuntu? Many thanks. I look forward to your suggestions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[valgrind] [Bug 382515] valgrind: "Assertion 'di->have_dinfo' failed." on wine's dlls/mscoree/tests/mscoree.c
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382515 --- Comment #9 from Philippe Waroquiers--- Can you try the attached patch ? This produces more user messages when it cannot read a pdb file. Also, it should recover properly from an invalid/unsupported pdb file. Note also that a quick search on the web seems to indicate that Mingw does not generate pdb files, bur rather seems to generate dwarf debug info. Strange however that mscorlib.pdb indicates a PDB 1.0 version (which seems a very old format?). Maybe PDB 1.0 is just the container format ? Even in the wine sources (pdb.c), I could not find anything about this format, wine pdb.c seems to expect the same as valgrind readpdb.c expects. So, at this time, unclear how to read this pdb file, so let's try to make Valgrind resists to it ... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
