[Breeze] [Bug 363147] Breeze cursors should have more sizes (patch included)

2017-08-05 Thread Brennan Kinney
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363147

--- Comment #17 from Brennan Kinney  ---
Roman? Do you have time to review James's contribution? Especially if the
custom cursor size could be integrated in future to System Settings with a
slider instead of dropdown selection.

I recently setup a user with 1080p display for vision impairment accessibility,
similar changes that HiDPI users do to scale up elements. 48px is too small,
they still have trouble spotting the cursor, I'm not sure what size it is on
macOS that they also use but it was much larger. Bug report(marked as duplicate
of this one): https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383146

[systemsettings] [Bug 383146] Support larger cursor size

2017-08-05 Thread Brennan Kinney
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383146

--- Comment #2 from Brennan Kinney  ---
(In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #1)

They are similar due to request for new cursor sizes(I'll add the larger sizes
as a comment on that bug), this report also addresses rendering consistency
issues when applying the cursor size change. Suggested fix, a dialog warning
similar to the one for Font DPI.

[kwin] [Bug 383186] New: No preview drawn when dragging windows between workspaces in workspace overview

2017-08-05 Thread Tim Robertson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383186

Bug ID: 383186
   Summary: No preview drawn when dragging windows between
workspaces in workspace overview
   Product: kwin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: effects-desktop-grid
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: tjkrobert...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Steps to reproduce:
Open workspace overview
Drag a window over to another desktop
Watch the window disappear into the void as long as you hold down left click

The window will show up again when you release the mouse button, but until then
it can seem like you've closed the window entirely.

[dolphin] [Bug 383182] New: placesitem.cpp typo in PlacesItem::updateBookmarkForRole("udi")

2017-08-05 Thread Chris Holland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383182

Bug ID: 383182
   Summary: placesitem.cpp typo in
PlacesItem::updateBookmarkForRole("udi")
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: places
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: zrenf...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

While skimming this code I noticed "udi)" had an extra ). I assume that's a
typo making PlacesItem::updateBookmarkForRole("udi") do nothing.

https://github.com/KDE/dolphin/blame/f38960e034cf622bc87575e91014404e8128f120/src/panels/places/placesitem.cpp#L319

I've no idea under what conditions udi would change and if there's any reported
bugs it might affect.

Is that maybe a reason, the automatic testing searches here:

digikam.general: Testing  "/usr/bin/autooptimiser/autooptimiser" ...
(autooptimiser inside a folder "autooptimiser")

And manually adding the path:
digikam.general: Testing  "/usr/bin//autooptimiser" ...
(two slashes: bin// )

I was writing autooptimizer but it should be autooptimiser!
Checking the help file I get this:

$ autooptimiser --help
autooptimiser: optimize image positions

Usage:  autooptimiser [options] input.pto

Which seems to be ok.

I did some further research and found here another bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=280736 which is maybe related to this.
Manjaro provides hugin 2017.0.0-1.
As far as I understood the panoramagui tests which version auf autooptimizer is
installed through a parsing autooptimizer --help. The above mentioned bugs
reporter writes about cpfind:

That would explain that even choosing autooptimizer doesn't work for me.

But I don't know how to check the parsing process.

By the way, I have not seen KDevelop give "debug output" that specifies what
file it's parsing. I have build it with USE=debug (on Gentoo), so can you
please be more specific about what mechanism is required to output this?

Output of apt when attempting to upgrade the mesa packages.

Using the Padoka stable ppa to upgrade the (i386) mesa drivers
(https://launchpad.net/~paulo-miguel-dias/+archive/ubuntu/pkppa) is not
possible due to a package conflict.

Attached are some example conflict issues. (aptconflicts.txt).

The package of interest is libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 but attempting installation
results in:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
 libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 : Depends: libwayland-client0:i386 (>= 1.11.0) but it is
not going to be installed

Trying to issue a command to install both packages requires removal of ~500
packages.

Uncertain where the conflict is exactly.

[kwin] [Bug 383179] New: KDE desktop compositing occasionally causes flickering and frozen window contents

2017-08-05 Thread Mircea Kitsune
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383179

Bug ID: 383179
   Summary: KDE desktop compositing occasionally causes flickering
and frozen window contents
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.10.4
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: decorations
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: sonichedgehog_hyperblas...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: ---

KDE desktop compositing occasionally causes strange visual artifacts. This
includes the following problems, which may or may not be related:

- Certain panels flicker when rendering against other panels, which looks as if
the two are z-fighting. I often see this with Skype notifications in the system
tray as they interfere with the Plasma panel.

- The Plasma desktop no longer executes visual updates unless the user does an
action that forces it to. For example: If you have an analog clock with the
seconds hand enabled, you will notice that it's stuck and the hands aren't
moving any longer... however if you switch desktops to force a redraw, the
hands will move to represent the current time but only once at that moment.
This problem is rare and always goes away after toggling desktop compositing.

- The contents of certain windows are no longer updated, and a past version of
the window is drawn instead. I often think the application has frozen until
turning off desktop effects and seeing that it updates again. This problem is
rare and always goes away after toggling desktop compositing.

Since I don't know how much this is a KDE problem and how much it's the
drivers, I'm reporting it with both of the teams. My OS is openSUSE Tumbleweed
x64. Plasma 5.10.4, MESA 17.1.5, Kernel 4.11.8. My CPU is an Intel core i7 920,
my video card is a Radeon R7 370 from Gigabyte (RadeonSI / GCN 1.0 / Pitcairn
Islands) and I'm running the 'radeon' driver (no 'amdgpu' support yet).

I don't think that this is the same bug as 338642.

git master now contains a short KChart widget test. You may modify
kmymoney/reports/tests/chart-test.cpp as shown below:

  QVector< double > vec0,  vec1, vec2;
-  vec0 << 5 << 1 << 3 << 4 << 1;
-  vec1 << 3 << 6 << 2 << 4 << 8;
-  vec2 << 0 << 7 << 1 << 2 << 1;´
+// vec0 << 5 << 1 << 3 << 4 << 1;
+// vec1 << 3 << 6 << 2 << 4 << 8;
+  vec3 << 7 << 7 << 7 << 7 << 7;

and let the app run which shows the mentioned behavior.

Then modify

  CartesianAxis *yAxis = new CartesianAxis (widget.lineDiagram() );
+
static_cast(widget.lineDiagram()->coordinatePlane())->setAutoAdjustVerticalRangeToData(101);

and run again - bug is fixed

then modify again

-
static_cast(widget.lineDiagram()->coordinatePlane())->setAutoAdjustVerticalRangeToData(101);
+
static_cast(widget.lineDiagram()->coordinatePlane())->setAutoAdjustVerticalRangeToData(2);

and compile and run again - bug is not fixed.

If you can confirm please restore bug state.

--- Comment #1 from Jasem Mutlaq  ---
Isn't this already implemented? Go to KStars --> Configure --> Advanced and
configure logs for Ekos. There are no control over INDI logs since these are
generated by INDI.

[kstars] [Bug 383177] New: Provide a copy of all logs when executing an Observation Plan with the Scheduler

2017-08-05 Thread TallFurryMan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383177

Bug ID: 383177
   Summary: Provide a copy of all logs when executing an
Observation Plan with the Scheduler
   Product: kstars
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: unspecified
OS: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
  Reporter: eric.dejouha...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

It would be interesting to get a copy of the different logs (KStars, Ekos,
INDI, ...) generated while an Observation Plan executes under the Scheduler.

Tracking, focusing, aligning and guiding could then be logged as jobs are
executed. This would allow us to more easily understand and debug problems when
things go wrong.

A checkbox in the Scheduler could configure KStars and Ekos to provide maximum
log levels for each scheduled item. INDI log levels should not be altered
because some may disrupt reactivity of drivers.

--- Comment #1 from Oliver Sander  ---
Hi Ghavamikia,
thanks for your interest in Okular. You are surely correct that there are
issues with the epub backend. However, the text you posted here is not a
helpful contribution to the bug tracker. A bug tracker is used to keep track
of individual specific problems with okular. More general considerations like
your text are better sent to a mailing list. I will therefore close this bug
now as invalid. Please don't take it the wrong way.

in assuming that ktexteditor handles it or is done by lower level library?

I guess it was meant to be a feature. You open a file in Krusader, close it
again in the view and you are back in Krusader.
Anyway, behaviour will be changed by a patch:

I cannot really confirm the behaviour. When closing a tab, the focus in the
other tab stays in the text area. But I noticed you can switch the focus
between text area and tabbar with META+Tab. Maybe you just have problems with
the shortcuts?

Bug ID: 383174
   Summary: google photo, export stops after a random quantity of
photos
   Product: digikam
   Version: 5.6.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Export
  Assignee: digikam-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: philippe.roub...@free.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

I select 243 photos
then
I start the export to a new album
after 58 photos no more photos are added to the google photo album
but
the export plugin keep exporting photos!
Counter keeps increasing then reaches 243.

All is OK for the export plugin but there is only 58 photos in google photos.

Then
I relaunch the export
then same phenomenon. No more photos in the album after 28 photos.

Also, transfer is very slow.

Please provide more detail about exactly when/where this happens - which view
and what are you trying to do? Many account/category lists include both income
and expense, so you just have to scroll. A screenshot might also help.

I confirmed this issue with kmail 5.5.2 (openuse 42.3). It also happened with
local folders (maildir). Akonadi restart does not work.
Two workarounds works :
- clear akonadi cache on the folder and restart akonadi and kmail
- connect to mysql to delete items (see comment 75)

It happened multiple times per day and make kmail amost unusable...
