2017-08-19 Thread Alexander Mentyu

Summary: Kirigami Gallery - 'Text fields' text is draggable in

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Kirigami Gallery.
2. Increase Kirigami Gallery window width so it switched from mobile width mode
or make it fullscreen.
3. Select Text Field section.
4. Grab and drag 'Text fields' text in top navigation panel.

Actual result:
'Text fields' text is draggable.

Expected result:
'Text fields' text isn't draggable same as others text items in top navigation
panel.

Also this bug prompted me to idea - what if all top navigation text in Kirigami
Gallery could be draggable and used for back and forth navigation.

I clicked the cursor on the timeline and between 10 and 20 seconds you see this
small grey line, but below it is no cursor. In the preview screen the time does
also not change to the point in time where I clicked.

Sometimes top list item is not fully visible in a list after scrolling.

This happens more often when there are a lot of items in a list and scrolling
down (approximately to the middle) were made by mouse click on scrollbar and
dragging it lower

 - and after that -

scrolling up to the ALMOST very top were made by mouse click on scrollbar and
dragging it upper

 - and than -

scrolling to the very top were made by mouse wheel.

[kio-gdrive] [Bug 383724] New: Modified Blender files don't get uploaded

2017-08-19 Thread Matthew Trescott
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383724

Bug ID: 383724
Summary: Modified Blender files don't get uploaded
   Product: kio-gdrive
   Version: 1.2.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: elvis.angelac...@kde.org
  Reporter: matthewtresc...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I opened a Blender (.blend) file from my gdrive:// in Dolphin, edited, and
saved it. At no point was the modified version uploaded back to Drive, even
after closing Blender. I was _very_ lucky I had backed up the cached file in
~/.cache/kioexec/krun/whatever.

I imagine this is due to Blender creating backup files with the .blend1
extension in the same folder as the file currently open.

I was at first going to label this as "critical" but since I found that it only
affects Blender it's not _quite_ as horrible.

2017-08-19 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378666

Workaround: drag the file to the text box, not the file view, which pastes in
the path and accomplishes the desired workflow. I still think dragging a file
to the main file view should do the same, given that right now it does nothing
and displays a "can't do that" cursor. Might as well have it do something
useful and in the process match the behavior of the macOS and GTK file
choosers.

[valgrind] [Bug 383723] New: MacOS 10.12.x: UNKNOWN workq_ops option 128, and ud2 opcode

2017-08-19 Thread Andy
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383723

Bug ID: 383723
   Summary: MacOS 10.12.x: UNKNOWN workq_ops option 128, and ud2
opcode
   Product: valgrind
   Version: 3.14 SVN
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jsew...@acm.org
  Reporter: imol00+...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I sent this to the mailing list. It was reviewed by John Reiser (thanks John!)
and he asked that I file this report.

Here are the details I supplied:

Running callgrind on my Qt-based app on macOS 10.12.6 crashes.

Running callgrind on "/bin/date" works (which is not surprising as I think
workq_ops is related to threads?)

- in Qt Creator, add a new project
- select "Qt Console Application"
- edit its qmake file to remove "CONFIG += console" (this shouldn't be added on
the Mac)
- build "Profile" version

The .pro looks like this:

QT += core
QT -= gui

CONFIG += c++11

TARGET = valgrind-test2
CONFIG -= app_bundle

TEMPLATE = app

SOURCES += main.cpp

And main.cpp looks like this:

#include

int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
   QCoreApplication a(argc, argv);

   return a.exec();
}

Run valgrind --tool=callgrind

==35785== Your program just tried to execute an instruction that Valgrind

==35785== 1. Your program has a bug and erroneously jumped to a non-code

[systemsettings] [Bug 358254] Setting the toolbar font does nothing

2017-08-19 Thread Allan Sandfeld
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358254

Note my Qt change was in Qt's KDE platformplugin. If you have a full KDE/Plasma
installation, the vanilla platform-integrations gets overriden by the Plasma's
own platformplugin. So similar code might already be there in that plugin it
the code might need to be duplicated.

[KScreen] [Bug 354227] kcm_kscreen is too high

2017-08-19 Thread Valeriy Malov
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354227

Valeriy Malov changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||jazzv...@gmail.com

So, if scrollbars can't be added to kscreen since systemsettings adds it's own
set of scrollbars, what about adding scrollbars to KCMultiDialog same way it's
done it systemsettings (via QScrollArea)?

This theoretically should take care about systemsettings modules.
kcm_kscreen specifically takes some time to initialize, which causes "kcmshell5
kscreen" to start in a very small window if scrollbars are added, but this
seems like something that should be fixed in kcm_kscreen (perhaps through size
hint?)

However, KCMultiDialog is also used outside of systemsettings (e.g. kdepim),
and those might have their own scrollbars?

Also, bug 366299 and bug 360260 seem to be related/duplicates

[krita] [Bug 383717] Move tool won't update the image in real-time

2017-08-19 Thread Henrique
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383717

I'm using the appimage on Linux Mint. Also, I'm not sure if it influences, but
this happened with a .psd file. Then I imported an image to one layer, used
filter (threshold) and tried to move said layer. But sometimes the bug doesn't
come up, so I'm not entirely sure what triggers it.

[korganizer] [Bug 383722] New: Can't read calendar list --- too small

2017-08-19 Thread Steve
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383722

Bug ID: 383722
Summary: Can't read calendar list --- too small
   Product: korganizer
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Mint (Debian based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: 1840tra...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 107371
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107371=edit
Screenshot of the calendar (just launched for the first time)...can't read
calendar selection area.

Where you can select the calendars in the bottom left corner...the print is so
small, can't be read. Can't even click on it without de-selecting or selecting
a calendar. Have to arrow around and hit spacebar to even guess at which
calendar is showing up and which isn't. I have three calendars I'm using, but
even just starting the program up...the two default calendars (for the first
time launch) are the same super small font and type.

That might not be the clearest of UI choices. I believe this is due to the how
digikam is configured. In the editor configuration you can choose whether an
edit should be done in place or as new version (didn't check this now though).

[kscreenlocker] [Bug 383681] Kscreenlocker 5.10.4 only crashes

2017-08-19 Thread Jerrod Frost
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383681

All we did is upgraded plasma 5.9.5 to 5.10.4

Intel is also affected. I'm part of the Sabayon Linux software testing team.
We've located the issue. It's 100% with DRI3. Once we downgrade to DRI2.
Everything works in both Intel and AMD graphics cards. DRI3 isn't compatible.
This is bad as it disables vulkan for open source drivers. KDE+gaming is a no
go at this point.

   Version: Git
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

In https://phabricator.kde.org/R237:d85a57645f94d2d087711d7c608a0c5a46ed7ede,
we changed the standard tab changing keyboard shortcuts to ctrl+pgup/pgdn.

This creates a conflict in Kate, which currently uses ctrl+pgup for "Move to
Top of View and ctrl+pgdn for "Move to Bottom of View".

2017-08-19 Thread Nate Graham

Yes, that was my thought as well. However changing it to that approach involves
a lot of work given the way this feature is currently implemented, and it also
has translation implications (changing one already-translated string to two new
ones).

[plasmashell] [Bug 381000] [Regression] High CPU when background is set to slideshow

2017-08-19 Thread David Edmundson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381000

@ Vova Mshanetskiy

Only non threaded render loops are affected.

Kwin's CPU is higher because plasmashell is redrawing windows like crazy.
As to why Plasmashell is redrawing like crazy, I don't exactly know. See
earlier comments from me.

Logs won't help, someone being affected and debugging it will.

2017-08-19 Thread Guo Yunhe
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369611

One quick idea:

Have two context menu entries and dialog:

1. Link to a file --> use a file picker
2. Link to a folder --> use a folder picker

This will give users the function they want before Qt support this feature.

Allan: I'm working on a similar fix in https://phabricator.kde.org/D6697 (while
I included the bug number, somehow I missed your comment until now as it only
appeared shortly before I submitted my review – sorry for that).

However, it seems I cannot get your fix to Qt working locally. I tried Plasma
(Breeze), IceWM (Fusion) and XFCE (Adwaita), all with Qt 5.9.1 on Tumbleweed
which should include your patch according to gerrit. For testing I created a
MainWindow with a toolbar in Qt Designer. Only with Plasma the MainWindow
picked up KDE's settings: Menubar as specified in kdeglobals, but Toolbar got
general font.

I also tested with Qt 5.6.2, which should not include your patch. We get the
same behaviour as above (only Plasma was tested). This means your patch seems
to change nothing for me. Apparently KDE's settings are picked up only in
Plasma, and then the Plasma QPA takes over which is not based on the unix
platformtheme. Could you share how to reproduce your fix properly? (I might
have missed something). Let me know if we should continue this discussion in
gerrit.

Even though I might commit my patch to Plasma (which works on both 5.6.2 and
5.9.1, so not dependant on your Qt patch) shortly, I'd be interested to
understand your Qt patch properly, as I'll maybe look into the "Toolbar vs
Toolbutton" issue in the next weeks.
