I believe this is intentional. If you're technically knowledgeable enough to

Emmanuel Lepage Vallée changed:

--- Comment #3 from Emmanuel Lepage Vallée ---
I got a good news and bad news. The first bad news is that I spent a day fixing
minor issues in the hope that it would fix itself by quitting in a more orderly
order. The other bad news is that nothing was fixed beside some highly unlikely
race conditions. After cleaning all the zillion Valgrind false positives
(thanks Mesa and QtJS!), I found the root of the issue. The main crash here has
nothing to do with any of those stacktraces reported above. The problem is:

https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-52988

The good news is that it's fixed. The other bad news is that no distribution
has backported the patch yet. I wont change the way the initialization is done
because it would break some KDE single instance goodies.

As for some other backtraces, I am still investigating, but can't reproduce any
of them. Maybe my computer is too fast? What's your hardware?

Actually, I'm not so sure now that libgcal made any difference. I subsequently
un-installed it to check, and events entered in Google Calendar via a Web
browser still show up in KOrganizer5 after the applicable refresh interval has
elapsed.

[kdenlive] [Bug 378897] missing cursor in timeline

2017-08-21 Thread lawrencelile
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378897

Thank you very much for working on this.

I am using MLT version 6.5.0

I am trying to reproduce the behavior. I am unable to make the program add
a file to any video or audio track. Currently, I am unable to get Kdenlive
to accept dragging and dropping, and this may be a problem involving more
programs than just this one. The lack of this ability makes Kdenlive
essentially unusable, but is not a fault of the program itself. I believe
it to be a general problem on my machine, not a specific problem with
Kdenlinve. I have been unable to find a solution to the general problem.

I am unable to help in reproducing the problem at this time as I cannot get
the program to do the most basic functions. Thank you for your efforts to
deal with this problem. It may be that your efforts should be directed
elsewhere. Currently I am unable to get any functionality out of Kdenlive
at all.

gnome-color-manager
   Product: colord-kde
   Version: 0.3.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Daemon Module (KDED)
  Assignee: dantt...@gmail.com
  Reporter: ene...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Currently colord-kde depends on gnome-color-manager. There is however xiccd,
small icc deamon used to enumerate displays on shells other then GNOME.
xiccd has been added to current ubuntu >xenial and it's actively developed.
Proposal is to make colord-kde package xiccd dependent instead of
gnome-color-manager

> Install_the_dependencies for more information about the required
> dependencies.

Ralf, thank you for your patience, but the issue seems to be more than that. I
have kf5-dev packages already installed on my system. These are:

libkf5i18n-data
libkf5i18n-dev
libkf5i18n5
libkf5i18n5-dbg

Also, I have qtbase5-dev installed.

Still, cmake cannot kind the macro "ki18n_wrap_ui" anywhere.

Is it possible that Ubuntu is putting this somewhere where cmake cannot find
it? I have Qt installed in a directory under my home directory, not in /usr or
/usr/local ... I did find many Qt header files which make use of that macro.

This is still reproducible with Frameworks 5.37 (!) on Arch, with Qt 5.9.1.

Also reported by a KDevelop user on KDE Neon.

It makes alternate shortcut schemes very inconvenient to use.

I don't see how this can result in predictable behavior or even be helpful. The
results change as-you-type and you could end up with more than one result
eventually. Also, runners are queried asynchronously and some takes longer than
others to complete, so there usually is only a few results at first and then it
fills up. Furthermore, some runners don't result in "executable" results, like
the calculation or unit converter results, etc.

[kmymoney4] [Bug 357290] unwanted transfer transaction created by ofx

Jack changed:

Swj - I just reread all the entries here, and when the second transaction is
created, do you just delete it, or do you manually match it to the other
transaction already present? If you delete it, you will have the situation you
opened the bug about. However, if you match them, then the banks ID for the
transaction should remain, and the next import should be recognized as a
duplicate.

Ralf - this would be difficult to do with an anonymized file, as the relation
between an investment and brokerage account is lost when saving as anonymous
(see bug 340902). However, it might be possible to create a new file with only
the necessary accounts, and then manually clean identifiers out of the two ofx
files, one for each account.

[kmymoney4] [Bug 383706] Bitcoin Cash (BCH) currency

It might be reasonable to open a new bug or reopen this one as a wishlist for
an easier/more intuitive way to add a currency. However, I'm not sure how
important it is, as it is not something which needs to be done very often.

According to the handbook, the buttons are grayed out because they were never
implemented:

https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Project_Menu/Tracks#Configure_Tracks

IMHO they should be hidden until the functionality is implement. Otherwise,
users like myself wonder why they are always grayed out.

Thanks, although I found it not very intuitive (click with the right button to
open the context menu). It would be easier if there's a button to add a new
currency. Solved anyway.

The missing macro is located in the ki18n development package which is part of
kf5 (see https://cgit.kde.org/ki18n.git/tree/cmake/KF5I18NMacros.cmake). This
indicates that you have no development packages of kf5 libraries installed. See
https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Build_from_source/Install_the_dependencies
for more information about the required dependencies.

Since 17.08.0 konqueror is a unique application. Currently the "opened window"
will jump to the current desktop when konqueror is run.

Can this behaviour be changed or made configureable?

I would like to keep the "old" way to open a new window when I run konqueror.
(When I want the "old" konqueror window, I would open that.)

Generally, the doubled mails fail to display with the message "Unable to fetch

caches using the Akonadi console.
This behavior appears only with one of the recent KMail versions, maybe not

Git commit 3033e8b58fe41d5911320599710b05e124e23cf6 by Daniel Vrátil.

Don't set KMKernel::xmlGuiInstanceName() by default

This is a porting regression - KMKernel by default should have an
invalid xmlGuiInstance, which implies that KMail is not running as
a component. When xmlGuiInstance is set, like from KMail::Part, then
we know we are running inside Kontact or similar. Before this change
xmlGuiInstance was always set by the Kernel, so code that was using
this to check if it's running inside Kontact or not did not work.

Together with a porting typo fix, this fixes the ambiguous Ctrl+N
shortcut in KMail inside Kontact.

Fedora 26 Kde Xorg, Nvidia proprietary drivers

When I go into full screen with the mpv video player, all desktop environment
widgets like the task bar and system clock
(i.e. the default kde tray clock) reverts to some previous time, like a couple
of days a go (it varies), then freezes in time and becomes unresponsive. The
taskbar shows which programs were open at that time. Actual window contents
(like web browser) are current, while anything related to the desktop
environment (task bar, kde clock widget, kde rss reader) displays a state from
the past.

When I quit fullscreen, the DE reverts back to current time and works as
normal.

mpv devs says bug is not theirs (https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/issues/4786)
