[Powerdevil] [Bug 381387] display brightness is increased when come back from closed lid
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381387 --- Comment #1 from Matthias--- Happens here as well. And yes, i had this issue back then also. HP 8570p 1) I reduce the display brightness of my laptop to the lowest level. 2) I close the lid, which disables the display due to my settings. 3) I open the lid, which enables the display again. 4) My eyes are burning, since the brightness is strongly increased. When i like to reduce the brightness then, is this not possible since plasma think, that this is already the case. Once i try to increase the brightness then, decrease it that the the 2nd lowest level. So, the actual setting and what plasma think about the actual setting, splits once i disable the display. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-ktexteditor] [Bug 384449] New: New documents (without storage url) have mimetype guessed without respecting selected mode/highlighting
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384449 Bug ID: 384449 Summary: New documents (without storage url) have mimetype guessed without respecting selected mode/highlighting Product: frameworks-ktexteditor Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kosse...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- When creating a new text document in Kate (or KDevelop), estimation of the mimetype of the document in KTextEditor::DocumentPrivate::mimeType() is only done based on content, which in many cases will fail due to missing intelligence by the mime database (e.g. Markdown content). The user though has the chance to manually select a filetype mode (from Tools/Mode menu) in case the detection fails (and I surely are not the only one to do that). And usually they select a matching mode. So in the case that there is only one mimetype covered by a filetype mode, it would be helpful to have the mimetype of the document being overruled by the filetype mode setting. And in other cases some further control by the user of the mimetype is needed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384448 Bug ID: 384448 Summary: No KTextEditor::Document::mimeTypeChanged signal available Product: frameworks-ktexteditor Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kosse...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- The mimetype property of a KTextEditor::Document object is not fixed for its lifetime, at least in the implementation of KTextEditor::DocumentPrivate. In that code it is depending on the outcome of the queries to QMimeDatabase, which itself depends on the current initial 4k bytes and/or the path of the url which is set to the document. So the mimetype can be different over the lifetime of the document instance (e.g. when saving under another filename or when editing a new file and switching between Markdown and Asciidoc during initial work). Watchers of a document instance, like the preview plugin, could be happy to be informed about changes of the mimetype, so they can adapt to it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
