2017-10-12 Thread DI Oliver Maurhart
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385685

Bug ID: 385685
Summary: Akonadi/KMail does not mark emails on Gmail as read
nor does it delete them
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 5.4.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Gmail resource
  Assignee: dvra...@kde.org
  Reporter: dyl...@gmail.com

  Target Milestone: ---

When working with Akonadi/Kmail I can receive emails as normal. However, when I
read emails and delete them, they pop up some seconds later again, unread.
Looking on the gmail web frontend I see them unread and undeleted.

This is an annoying bug.

Bug ID: 385683
Summary: Krita clipboard not updating while using same vector
selection.
   Product: krita
   Version: 3.3.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tools
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ryancor...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: ---

This bug is similar to the one I posted for Krita 4.0 pre-alpha.

Additional copy and paste actions using the same Vector Selection results in
non-updating image pastes. The clipboard does not update while using the same
selection.

If one selects a selection shape and changes it to Vector Selection and draws a
selection around the pixels to be copied, only the first copy is committed to
clipboard for pasting. This can be verified by moving the selection to another
area and attempting to copy.

In addition, if one makes a a vector selection and moves the selection before
copying, no copy will take place.

Lastly, if one moves the selection too many times, the selection border will
not update according to the coordinates of the transform box(blue) when using
the shape manipulation tool to move.

Breeze theme showing correct values VS Oxygen theme showing wrong values.

Hello,

When I use the "Oxygen" Icon Theme, the file/folder "Rating" metadata
(highlighted in the image) displays incorrect values (all files/folders seem to
have all 5 stars selected).

When I revert back to the default "Breeze" theme, then the "Rating" metadata
displays the correct values again.

I'm not sure if this error lies with the creators of the "Oxygen" theme or with
how Dolphin handles themes. I suspect it's the latter.

Even if the current error lies with the Oxygen team, this sort of issue should
probably be handled by Dolphin somehow.

[extra-cmake-modules] [Bug 373175] _XOPEN_SOURCE needs to be defined when using -std=iso9899:1990

We have recently made changes to individual KF5 modules to allow them to build
with musl (on Alpine). So for KF5 at least this should no longer be necessary.
The patches were applied to each specific KF5 module rather than
unconditionally requesting POSIX defines.

Have you tried this on FreeBSD? That OS in particular gave us issues with
those modifications, because FreeBSD will normally export symbols by default
*except* for when you use one of those feature test macros; then it *disables
everything* not in ISO C and then enables the features given by the macro you
use. For the KF5 modules that actually used symbols that were only in BSD,
fixing the missing POSIX symbols had the effect of breaking the BSD symbols.

Thanks for reporting! Bad news here, I'm afraid...

The entire revision graph feature was removed in 5.0.4 and later, because it
was hppelessly bugged in any situation that we tested. See
https://phabricator.kde.org/D4076 .

Patches welcome for a graph view that actually works (or any other VCS
improvements, the current status is not great).

Very awkward having to move around the display and move around the dialog box
with Alt key (buttons are off screen on 1366x768 resolution), every time you
want to enable or disable external monitor. Why not just set it up and write a
config file once then have a tray button to turn it on or off?

[kwin] [Bug 371199] Dragging windows on my left screen causes them to jump down to the bottom

2017-10-12 Thread Cristiano Guadagnino
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371199

Hours ago I received an update to openSUSE Tumbleweed, so that now I'm on
plasma 5.11.
I can confirm that (at last!) the bug is fixed and I can move windows on the
second monitor without problems.
However the problem with Yakuake still remains: when configured so that its
window appears on the monitor where the mouse cursor resides, it turns out that
it really won't appear on the left monitor. That is: if I press the hotkey that
is supposed to show Yakuake's window, it will do nothing if the mouse cursor is
on the left screen.
This makes me think that the bug is still not completely solved.

I'm not sure if this is related, but in version 5.1.80, and coming from 5.2
branch (nightly build) doesn't work any links in Qt5 documentation (clicked by
LMB). Or in other words. Doesn't work navigation in opened documentation for
Qt5.

Tested on KDevelop-git-x86_64.AppImage and KDevelop-5.1.80-x86_64.AppImage
(downloaded at 2017-10-11) accordingly.

And second thing is not readable ComboBox at left side of edit field. I mean
after I find, for example, documentation for QPlainTextEdit I see there
"QtWidget", when I open this Combo I see very short strings looking like:
"q..d"
"q..s"
"q..p"
etc.

And third thing.
Continue previous case. When I click on "Home" button, it moves me to Qt
Widgets - I see only one entry in tree view, I mean: Qt Widgets", whereas I
expected it will move me to "QtHelp Home Page". Workaround is choosing from
Combo (showing QtWidget) last item with name "Q..p", which moves me to actual
"QtHelp Home Page".

Git commit bd47eb2e6d80315115bb3f58987162fcb4911b10 by Elvis Angelaccio, on
behalf of Miklos Marton.
Committed on 12/10/2017 at 21:21.
Pushed by elvisangelaccio into branch 'master'.

Don't block unmounting when terminal panel's cwd is the mountpoint

When unmounting a removable media Dolphin checks if there are
some files open on the device before performing the unmount.
If the terminal window in dolphin is open and the to be unmounted path is open,
the unmount process will be blocked.

This patch sets the terminal window current path to the home directory upon
unmount request
if the terminal directory is set to the mount path.

The unmount request could came from two sources:

The user could hit right click on the media in the dolphin's places panel
and hit unmount.
The user could request an unmount from the indicator applet

2017-10-12 Thread beojan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355935

Yes, you'll see I reported this to the Qt bug tracker above. However, there
seems to be something about the way Plasma and Leon (really Aurorae) uses Qt
that triggers this, so the investigation needs to start with Plasma.

P.S. (To https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385150#c3) I see that one of the
packages is an older kdesvn (2.0.0-36.1), so I would presumably ignore that.

2017-10-12 Thread Patrick Traill
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385150

I am sorry to be awkward, but I do not expect to get round to testing this any
time soon. I relocated my WC with the svn command-line, and now it appears to
be working fine. I have a fair amount on my hands at the moment, and testing
this does not sound totally straightforward. If I do find time I shall
certainly report back.

Just to be sure, should I test by adding
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/chehrlic/openSUSE_Leap_42.2/
to my YAST repositories and adding the five RPMs I see under /x86_64? Also, I
am not sure whether I can relocate my WC back to the old URL -- is there
anything I need to be aware of to achieve that? I would in any case, I think,
have to guess the old URL, as I seem to have no WC left using it.

2017-10-12 Thread Christoph Feck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355935

That would be Qt, yes.

Qt uses freetype to render the text, but placement of the glyphs is more
complicated. It could be influenced by DPI scaling and/or a mismatch what Qt
thinks the font metrics are and what freetype actually uses.

In either case, I doubt it is a Plasma or KWin bug.

I see some commits from way back when guarding against long file paths because

Will have to re-check if I am able to configure Wayland in a way to be useable,
without destroying the X11 setup.

Length > 255 doesn't work either, but everything I've tried and failed to
create has been in the 180-230 character range for the full path. (Was just
trying to bound the problem based on some follow-up questions I'd gotten on
Reddit; sorry if it introduced ambiguity.)

I use Wayland since months, but I have not seen it in any other application
that the mouse is not visible at all. I can see the mouse pointer in the menu
bar, but not in the main window unless I click and hold the left mouse button.

[plasmashell] [Bug 384950] Breeze decorator uses wrong colors

2017-10-12 Thread Christoph Feck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384950

KWin decoration colors are indeed unrelated to KColorScheme colors. The
systemsettings color editor copies the colors of the selected scheme into the
appropiate sections of 'kdeglobals'.

If the [WM] section (with decoration colors) is not present in the 'kdeglobals'
file, KConfig falls back to try the application configuration file, in this
case 'kwinrc'.

I do not see how it is a bug.

New screenshot

Here's another screenshot demonstrating this bug on Plasma. Given the comment
above, it's possible the bug is at a deeper level (something shared between
KWin and Plasma, perhaps).

I'm using Intel integrated graphics on a 4700MQ processor, 1920x1080 using X11.
