A strange crash inside KisBrushMaskScalarApplicator this morning. Actually
looks like a nullptr from KisFixedPaintDevice::data() to me (as the fault is at
0x000b). Happened with 783767179388e8e48ba4e44bcb622613b27b5bd0.

This bug seems a regression due some recent changes in KNewStuff code.
The signal KNS3::Button::dialogFinished(const KNS3::Entry::List
) caries entry objects who miss to have the property
installedFiles set, despite that value being properly set inside the KNewStuff
code.
Which results in KDevelop looking at broken data and ignoring it then.

'Discard' intuitively suggests that current screenshot will be dropped (as does
the tooltip!) but, surprisingly, clicking it closes the window. 'Quit/Close'
would be better. I note that the button title changes to 'Quit' after saving a
screenshot.

'Save & exit' is handy, unless... you have a load of screenshots to take, when
selecting 'Save as' from the drop-down each time becomes a chore... (although
kybd shortcut is an option, I guess)

'Preferences' on 'Save...' drop-down is a bit weird - could it be a separate
button below the other option checkboxes and above 'New Screenshot'?

I can confirm this bug in v16.08.2;

it only seems to happen for small screenshots, <340 pixels high (width isn't an
issue);

changing the size of Spectacle itself doesn't have any effect.

I tried to log into KDE community forums. My login attempts were rejected as
invalid.

I tried to request a new password. My attempt was rejected as not being
recognized or some such thing.

I tried to register again, even though I'm already registered, and my attempt
to register was rejected as spam.

I clicked on the sysadmins link and was taken to an LDAP login page. As I can't
log in directly to the forums, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to log in using
whatever LDAP is.

How do I recover my KDE community forums login information?

I've also was hit by the same issue - it's definitely linked to NVIDIA drivers.
I've been using 384.90 drivers on Debian 9. When I start more than one session,
kscreenlocker_greet (5.8.6 as in Debian 9) starts to hog CPU to 100%, using two
processes.

I have found some workaround (until NVIDIA fixes their drivers... or Qt will do
something):
1) Rename kscreenlocker_greet binary to something like kscreenlocker_greet.bin
(on Debian 9 it's located in
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kscreenlocker_greet - it's in package
libkscreenlocker5)
2) Create wrapper script named kscreenlocker_greet that runs the
kscreenlocker_greet binary but with enforced basic render loop (which does not
use threads, thus NVIDIA doesn't lock), make it executable:

Close all sessions, and check then again. Works for me. :)

I suppose it's possible, but I can't think of any likely cause.  What is odd
that it reports the same transaction number with different dates and amounts. 
Is it possible to create a small test file with a few transactions that show
the errors, or does a new file always work without errors?  If so, then saving
your file as an anonymous file and attaching that to the bug might help.

I don't think blue is the right color, blue is the color for the focused
button.

present in the v2.3 version. And I'm attaching a new screenshot image to
illustrate it.

4/ Confusion in the selection of filters

Again, this is not a serious bug, since there's a work-around. However, the
behavio(u)r is not as expected.

Process to reproduce:
a) Open the attached xml file
b) In the list of filters, select "Disney"
c) Only "Cinderella" is displayed on the list of entries on the right-hand side
(which is correct)
d) De-select "Disney" as a filter, by Ctrl+Clicking on "Disney" on the filter
list - now, no filters are selected any longer
e) However, the list of entries on the right-hand side still only shows
"Cinderella" (which is no longer correct - I think...) - please see attached
picture.
f) Now click on "Disney" in the filter list again, so that's it's selected once
again (please bear with me - this is to show something else in the following
steps)
g) The list still only shows "Cinderella" (which is correct again)
h) Now click on the black arrow with a cross inside in the field next to the
"Filter" button at the top
i) The list of entries reverts to the complete, unfiltered list of all entries
(all two of them...)
j) However, "Disney" is still selected on the filter list
k) Now click on "Disney" in the filter list again
l) The list of entries does not change and still shows two entries

Expected Result:
There are two steps which are not as I would have expected.

At step e), because I have actually removed the filter by Ctrl-clicking on it
at step d), I would have expected the list to revert to the list of all (two)
entries instead on only "Cinderella". This change in filter selection is not
detected as an event and/or taken into account.
Of course step h) is the (or "a") work-around, and I can revert to the complete
list of entries and remove the filter by clicking on the black arrow at the
top.

At step l), because I've just clicked on "Disney", I would expect the list of
entries to show "Cinderella" only, which is the only entry matching the
criterion. But because "Disney" was already selected as a filter, as per step
j), even though the list of entries displayed was unfiltered, the program is
confused, and it doesn't detect the re-selection of "Disney" as a filter, and
it doesn't update the list to apply the filter.
The work-around here is to select another filter (e.g. "All Directors"), and
re-select "Disney", and it works fine again.

Again, noting serious, but maybe you can look into this some day...

Default button almost indistinguishable from other buttons

See attached screenshot. In this dialog, the Quit button is marked as default,
and hitting return or enter will press it, but it's very difficult to tell
because it is almost indistinguishable from the other buttons. I suggest making
default buttons blue so the user can always tell when there is a default button
in a dialog.

One workaround is to make sure that default buttons always receive focus--which
makes them blue. There is an open patch that implements this:

If that is the correct or preferred solution, please indicate this so we can
get that patch accepted. If not, we should consider making default buttons blue
even when not focused (and then perhaps changing the focus effect to something
else).

-sometimes (~30%) konqueror crashes, perhaps because I start moving, while the
rename is not finished...

--on my system, there is no difference if rename is done in the left tree view
or in the listing on the right side: perhaps "the bad reload behavior of the
tree view" has something to do with this crash!?!
--"the bad reload behavior of the tree view" is already known I guess... (I
mean after renaming a directory on the right side, the tree view (on the left
side) will not always reload and show the new name. and so it will still search
for the old directory.)

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

About okular, v17.04.3 should have this problem fixed with

unless Qt decided to change something and the global menubar doesn't return
true on menuBar()->isNativeMenuBar() anymore, you should probably open a new
bug for each of the apps, but it's not really very prioritary for me, but maybe
someone else will have a look.

Fixed in c32c8d002e1216373560c94738841a7a5e1b976b if we need to change it some

There is not a single complaint, there are a lot during the export procedure.
They all have small numbers like 20, 17, 16 etc. And many occur several times,
e.g. Transcation 17 is reported 4 or 5 times with different dates and amounts.
Also the progress bar is dancing forward/backward during export.

When I search for the Transcations 16, 17 and 20 I find a single transaction
for each of them as an "add shares" transaction in the very beginning of
another invest account (not the one that I was exporting). These transactions
need no categories and they have none.

When I search e.g. for the date and amount of all the transactions number '17'
reported during export of the invest account then I always find a single
transaction that matches in the exported investment account. These are dividend
transactions. During export they are reported in ascending order with respect
to date. And they are all around the year 2015, few 2014. The transactions are
missing in the exported csv.

I used several versions of kmymoney during the years. Is it possible that a bug
in an older version around the year 2015 caused these problems?

btw, I tryed different switching animations, so thatś not the issue.
Compiz is disabled.
i also tried

This started to happen when I upgarded the kde suite from 5.8.(5 or 6) to
5.11.1 from the neon ppa.

I tried MANY shortcuts (like ctrl+alt+arrows or meta+pg(up/down))
I tried many keyboards models from the input options
I don't have layout switching
I tryed with both usb keyboard and the integrated keyboard of the laptop
I checked with xev that the presses are captured

My conclusion as a user is that the problem it's not the reverse shorcut per
se, but how input is handled.

I can trigger a first reverse but no further than that.

while the task switcher window is open, the only shortcut captured is further
presses from the tab key.

If I bind next task to say, ctrl+pg down, then switching tasks forward is not
possible (beyond the first one). As if there is some where coded some behavior
specifically for the tab key.

I've used Linux Mint 17.1 KDE (without Plasma) and I was glad by this OS but
when I upgraded Linux Mint to 18.2 version with KDE Plasma that world of Linux
Mint disapoint me. Plasma is shit. I will not describe all bugs because it are
so much that I don't have time for reporting, it will be easy to search new
distributive because I must work and not write reports. So,
1. Wallpaper manager does not work
2. Some applications can not be excluded from autostart because I don't see it
there but it starts automaticaly
3. Network manager permanent deletes file /etc/resolv.conf and I've tired
permanent to write it manually
4. Manager of User groups is missing and therefore I can not resolve USB 2.0 in
virtual box
5. X11/xorg latest version hard hung sometimes and load CPU to 100%
6. Impossibble adjust Hot keys for run applications
Conclusion is such: 
Why it need such beauty when it does not have functionality and works slow???
Plasma is shit. Return pure KDE

The code mentioned in comment #4 does not handle surrogate pairs correctly. A
QString is UTF-16 encoded, so the U+1F623 code point for the  character

With greek polutonic keyboard layout I can type greek characters with
diacritics like:
άὰᾶᾳᾷᾴᾲ
but I cannot type combination of those with both dasia signs, i.e.:
ἄἂἆᾆᾄᾂ and
ἅἃἇᾇᾅᾃ.
This is, however, possible in all GTK apps. I observed this on different
distros and different computers.

The compose sequence to type ἄ is ";:a" but the result is ά instead of ἄ. I
could type this bug report in firefox but could not produce the sign neither in
qupzilla nor konsole nor kate etc.

Another option: replace the %U in VLC's desktop file with %F, which forces the
system to download the file locally to a temp directory before passing it to
the app. This does work (hurrah!) but you do need to wait a bit for the file to
download and there's no feedback while that happens, which isn't the best user
experience when the network connection is slow.

This change would need to be made at the distro level, which wouldn't make
sense for distros that also ship GNOME, since GNOME's GVFS is able to do this
transparently, as mentioned above.

So there is another option I hadn't considered, which is to have KIO use FUSE
to mount these remote URLs locally, which exposes them to software that doesn't
use KIO but is otherwise POSIX-compliant. This is what GNOME's GVFS does, which
is why they don't have the same problem (though FUSE mounting does impose a
performance penalty, but I suppose that's better than not having the
functionality at all with popular apps like VLC).

It looks like there was an effort to implement that a few years back:

Sadly it appears to have been abandoned. I wonder if it's revivable.

After checking out the new vault feature, I decided I didn't want the icon
showing all the time in the systray and used the settings to hide it. After
closing the systray settings, the icon was still showing for a second and then
plasmashell crashed.

The backtrace seems to implicate kf5windowsystem and QML though:
