Among the "several fixes" have you tried to enable the Windows 8 Pointer API in

I think we are writing a new maintenance tool for digiKam-5.9.0. We could drop
the Tags table, write new hidden tags, and then write back the tags tree just
loaded into the model. That's actually the easiest way.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375569

Gilles,

unfortunately, the maintenance tool does not help here. A special function
would have to be written to repair the lft/rgt columns. Here a user has
published a script, see bug 386606. I have not tested it. But we have more
problems due to errors, incorrect parent tags, deleted internal tags or deleted
internal root tag. The best way is to start with a clean new DB. I think, the
constant recalculation of the lft/rgt columns is not a good idea, I can not
reproduce at the moment here wrong values in the lft/rgt columns after wild
move and delete tags, but we should solve this differently in the future.

Debug view showing the win tab was not found by krita

Using a wacom bamboo fun tablet, pen pressure works in paint tool sai but does
no appear to function in krita. Have tried several fixes to see if I can solve
the issue myself, but have had no luck with it. Resorted to trying to debug
view and noticed the program could not initialize win tab as shown in the
screenshot attatched (I tried logging to a file but the file was always blank).

Would love to be able to use this program, so I hope there is an easy fix.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Searches-Advanced
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: kde.b...@meku.org
  Target Milestone: ---

The advanced search GUI will not allow you to search for a single focal length,
it enforces a range value search.

For example if I enter a single value, eg. 23, it will search for all images >=
23mm. It will not allow searching for exactly 23mm. The minimum range allowed
by the search GUI is 1mm, so you can only search for images between 23 to 24mm.

By modifying the XML of a saved search I have confirmed the search back-end
does allow searching for a single focal length, eg. exactly 23mm, so this is
likely just an issue with the GUI.

Yes, the wrong tags display comes from wrong values of the lft/rgt columns.
They wrong values were created by deleting or moving tags. This bug will be

Yes, absolutely sure.

Running the daemon on the console gives me the following output when
transferring the file that fails:
kdeconnect.core: KdeConnect daemon starting
kdeconnect.core: onStart
kdeconnect.core: KdeConnect daemon started
kdeconnect.core: Broadcasting identity packet
kdeconnect.core: Starting client ssl (but I'm the server TCP socket)
kdeconnect.core: Socket succesfully stablished an SSL connection
kdeconnect.core: It is a known device "OnePlus"
kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: add to dolphin
kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: Created device: "OnePlus"
Connecting to deprecated signal

kdeconnect.core: FileTransferJob Downloading payload to
QUrl("file:///tmp/kdeconnect/96986c0da73802429364605fefc5f8c2") size: 310

A successful transfer looks like this:

kdeconnect.core: KdeConnect daemon starting
kdeconnect.core: onStart
kdeconnect.core: KdeConnect daemon started
kdeconnect.core: Broadcasting identity packet
kdeconnect.core: Starting client ssl (but I'm the server TCP socket)
kdeconnect.core: Socket succesfully stablished an SSL connection
kdeconnect.core: It is a known device "OnePlus"
Connecting to deprecated signal
QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString)
kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: add to dolphin
kdeconnect.plugin.sftp: Created device: "OnePlus"
kdeconnect.core: FileTransferJob Downloading payload to
QUrl("file:///tmp/kdeconnect/75496f3319233b6ce636394d56ccae80") size: 25587
kdeconnect.core: Finished transfer
QUrl("file:///tmp/kdeconnect/75496f3319233b6ce636394d56ccae80")

The file transfers were triggered from the notifications plugin which uses a
FileTransferJob for the notification icons. It can be reproduced by sending
files via the SharePlugin Android -> PC as well

They wrong values were created by deleting or moving tags. This bug will be
fixed in digiKam-5.8.0. However, you have to start with a clean DB. I close
this bug.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 386246] File transfer does not complete

--- Comment #9 from Albert Astals Cid ---
Just to make sure, are you sure it doesn't work or is that you don't get a
notification? small files are sometimes so fast that you don't really get a
progressbar for them but they actually get transfered just fine.

[konversation] [Bug 387170] New: Konversation randomly crashes after awhile

2017-11-20 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387170

Bug ID: 387170
Summary: Konversation randomly crashes after awhile
   Product: konversation
   Version: 1.7.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: konversation-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: wodenc...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: konversation (1.7.2)

Qt Version: 5.9.1
Frameworks Version: 5.38.0
Operating System: Linux 4.13.0-16-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 17.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I just had Konversation running in the background, connected to multiple IRC
servers. Even without interacting with it, it just randomly segfaults after
awhile.

Sometimes it's a few minutes, sometimes a few hours.
I never had a problem with it crashing at all (It would be up for days), until
I updated to Ubuntu 17.10, then this problem started.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

KDE4 and KDE Frameworks are completely separate collections of libraries and
applications. I doubt anyone will work on a way for applications in one group
to use configuration settings or tools from the other. In my opinion, this is
a packaging error for the Mageia package of KMyMoney 4.8.1 to not depend on the
KDE4 systemsettings.

Git commit 6d4591fb1733f4490d77d9e6a1e619b31767d49b by Kevin Funk.
Committed on 20/11/2017 at 20:30.
Pushed by kfunk into branch '5.2'.

Fix crash deep inside VcsOverlayProxyModel::data()

Summary:
VcsOverlayProxyModel::data() calls ProjectController::changesModel()
which currently is a non-const method which might create an instance
of ProjectChangesModel which in turn triggers some KJobs.

Avoid that by instantiating ProjectChangesModel() immediately during
startup. I don't think that has a real performance impact.

Maik,

Tomorrow, i will start AppImage bundle build with current implementation.

For the DB disconnection, this can be an issue with a network timeout if Mysql
Db is a remote one.

I see also huge time latency with mysql when album contents is large and when
thumbnails need to be stored to DB. In fact, the transactions in DB are not
enough cut in small parts and this introduce timeout in low level interface.
For this problem, it's a design of DB interface i think. The problem is also
reproducible at face registrations or similarity fingerprints storage.

Why here the connection to the DB fails, I can not say. But right now it's best
to start with a completely clean DB. The tag table will be corrupted even if
they delete all tags. It also has internal invisible tags. And you need a
digiKam version of today, so that delete or move no longer comes to a
destruction of the tags table.

Created attachment 108992
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=108992=edit
Arrow showing location of "upper left color circles" (green for foreground
color, dark purple for background color)

I am requesting that the Popup Palette allow for a shortcut to Switch Colors (X
keyboard shortcut). The logical place to do this would be by clicking on the
foreground and background "color circles" in the upper left corner of the Popup
Palette. (see attachment for the circles I'm talking about)

My suggestion is that clicking either one of these circles would switch the
foreground and background colors.

Using a tablet wirelessly or far from my keyboard means I have to have switch
colors on the valuable pen buttons or nested within radial menus. These circles
don't do anything when clicked already, and allowing you to click them to
switch colors would allow a tablet user to change the foreground and background
colors without having to use a keyboard or other types of menus.

Distributing Kaffeine with oscam/cccam/newcmd embedded is likely not legal on
several Countries. Having some sort of plugin interface that could interface to
an external software that would handle descrambling is probably legal, but
someone would need to develop such interface and submit for our review.

Something like that could also solve support for some hardware descramblers
that use a separate device driver where the encrypted TS is written on it, The
TS is then handled by its CI module, and the unencrypted TS can be read from
it. In other words, it some sort of budget DVB hardware with a separate CI
hardware.

There are a couple of hardware using this approach in the market.

Mesa's glXChooseFBConfig will not return any sRGB capable fbconfig when it

Created attachment 108989
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=108989=edit
Git format-patch Patch adding GLX_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB_CAPABLE_EXT attribute

Changed to _EXT instead of _ARB since that seems to be preferred in
glxbackend.cpp. Also changed the comment to mention mesa/i965, since all of the
mesa "drivers" are somewhat independent.
