[Powerdevil] [Bug 389991] New: Sleep key no longer initiates sleep
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389991 Bug ID: 389991 Summary: Sleep key no longer initiates sleep Product: Powerdevil Version: 5.12.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: lnx...@westlot.net Target Milestone: --- After upgrading to Plasma 5.12, pressing the sleep key no longer initiates sleep mode. There used to be a sleep action in the Standard Shortcuts, but it is no longer there. In attempting to create a custom shortcut utilizing the sleep key, I get an error saying "The shortcut 'Sleep' conflicts with the following key combination: Shortcut 'Sleep' in Application KDE Daemon for action Suspend". Looking around, I found a Power Management component under the Global Shortcuts that contains entries for Hibernate and Suspend, but trying to set either of them to their respective keys gives the same complaint about a conflict with the corresponding shortcut in Application KDE Daemon for action [Hibernate/Suspend]. If I reassign the key to the Power Management's Sleep action, the system sleeps as is should. I can only assume this bug is in the KDE Damon somewhere, which I also assume is something new or changed in 5.12? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[ksystraycmd] [Bug 389990] New: Some icons are badly rendered on system tray
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389990 Bug ID: 389990 Summary: Some icons are badly rendered on system tray Product: ksystraycmd Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Reporter: franksouza...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Sorry if I missed the related product. I already noticed this in earlier versions of KDE. There is a certain loss of quality in some icons when rendered on system tray regardless its size, as you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/Zhm8H3p.png. Look's like some kind of antialising or scaling is being applied. That is the icon of Simple Screen Recorder clearly modified just for tests. In this example, the graphic is rendered with 22 x 22px, the icon has exactly the same dimensions and also, as you can see, has only squares, so no antialiasing should be visible. [kmail2] [Bug 389659] Please wait while the message is transferred
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389659 --- Comment #6 from Ian --- hi I'm starting to think that some IMAP and POP3 code got confused. I can understand the subject line message if I was using IMAP but everythink is POP3 this end. I don't know if this is related, possibly, but it seems like the latest update re-arranged my folders as shown in Kmail to have "Local Folder" and "Local folders (offline)" and all my account folders got put into the "offline" branch. However now when I delete messages they get moved to (the new?) Trash folder in the "Local folders" branch rather than to where all my old trash is, in the Trash folder in the 'offline' branch. The same re-arrangement could also be why the auto filters no longer work (but do work when run manually). It 'feels' like changes were put in which were relevant to IMAP mail but were also applied to POP3 handling when they should not have been. Aren't these problems related to Akonadi rather than Kmail? Back in 2013 I lost a lot of mail, at the time I thought the disk was getting flaky. So I was very surprised yesterday when poking around my disk, to find what looks like all these missing mails going back to the early 2000s, in .local/share/akonadi/file_lost+found/ Thanks, Ian -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Thanks for all your help. > Agree. The problem here is that there is no global "average" user. Depending > on the actual workflows, tasks and scenarios, different users have different > demands on this kind of software and we need to keep all of them in mind > when implementing features and going for certain "default values". I think there's another angle though: the user who needs advanced features will be smart enough (for lack of a better phrase) to find and enable them. The user who does not need them may simply be overwhelmed and give up if advanced formatting features are enabled by default. I can see that LabPlot has smart features, but it just hasn't yet learned to be smart on the user's behalf. ;) I think that two design choices mentioned here are kinda related. - The plot scales down to fit the data, rather than the worksheet expanding to fit it. This is understandable, since with massive numbers it would be unrealistic to grow the worksheet to fit the data. (But then it causes ticks to have non-whole-number labels). However, with panning and zooming, it would not be so surprising if the user wished to pan and zoom to various parts of the graph on his own. In this case, having the plot constantly autoscale while adding data points could be undesir

[kmail2] [Bug 389659] Please wait while the message is transferred
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389659 --- Comment #4 from Ian --- Is there a workaround or something I can do to fix this? It's interfering with my ability to work... the only way I can open old emails is to find then on disk with Dolphin and open them from there. Trying to open them in Kmail just produces the wait-forever dialogue which is now producing bad behaviour from me... Mail needs to be 100% stable when released. It's business-critical. Or is there some other package or library which needs to be updated? Thanks, Ian -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 389973] New: Disable recent Applications in Kickoff History or reorder items
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389973 Bug ID: 389973 Summary: Disable recent Applications in Kickoff History or reorder items Product: plasmashell Version: 5.12.0 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Application Launcher (Kickoff) Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: croutham...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 It would be very useful if you could disable the list of recent Applications in Kickoff's History tab. I use Icons-only Task Manager for all of my apps I commonly use, so have no use for the Applications History. But I would really appreciate being able to see the Documents History, which is by default, listed below the Applications. This makes it a nuisance, as I have to continually scroll down the list to the Documents section. And/or, allow for reordering of these sections. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[choqok] [Bug 389971] New: Twitter API appears to be broken; sometimes works on new Tweets
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389971 Bug ID: 389971 Summary: Twitter API appears to be broken; sometimes works on new Tweets Product: choqok Version: 1.6 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Twitter Assignee: mehrdad.mom...@gmail.com Reporter: dequ...@mykolab.com CC: scarp...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- When I attempt to interact with choqok in any way (ReSending a Tweet, Favoriting a Tweet via the star icon, or Replying, the action errors out with an error message. Running Stace shows the following error: "read(5, "\2\0\0\0\0\0\0\0", 16) = 8 write(2, "org.kde.choqok.twitterapi: \n", 28) = 28 write(2, "org.kde.choqok.twitterapi: Error"..., 66) = 66 Picture of error in the GUI: https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZbxtz7ZaqKaUIMTBFFSLjGGJR7yUF0ppSQX Occasionally I can Favorite or ReSend a Tweet if the Tweet is newly-published. But after a few minutes, no interactions will be possible. Steps to Reproduce: Launch choqok, wait for timeline to populate, wait a few minutes, try to interact with an individual Tweet (Favorite, Reply, ReSend), receive "No status found with that ID" error. Further complicating things is the related bug (367773) regarding being unable to resolve short URLs. The combination of that bug and this one makes choqok completely unusable for Twitter use unless the only use-case for doing so would be to simply view a Tweet or perform a search, but not interact with them in any way, or view in a browser. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
