- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I just copied a folder from a network location to an usb stick. When I pasted
the folder, plasma "crashed" : desktop bar disapear, the windows title bar
disapear and the seoncd screen wallpaper became all black.

So with the latest KDE Neon update I can't bloody change icons anymore.

Now, firstly I would like to say that with every new updated of the breeze-dark
icon theme ends up braking my icons but it's ok. I just add la-capitaine-dark
(a custom version I have) to "Inherits" in the index.theme of breeze-dark.

So my current problem is that discord doesn't wanna change it's icons BUT ONLY
in the application launcher (krunner is fine) and in the panels (on the desktop
is fine). I cannot take screenshots of krunner or the launcher so I guess I
could make a screencast.

Also my whatsapp custom icon (an ice instance) looks WAY to pixelated for some
reason in the panel. The icon doesn't even show up in krunner, but it does in
the application launcher. 

Also as another little thing. Waterfox wouldn't bloody change it's icon in the
task-manager. Even though I changed the icon from edit applications it won't
listen. After I inherited the la-capitaine-dark icons theme it finally changed
that icon too.

This is not true. Many applications use the KDE4 config migration helpers to
move their configuration from .kde to .config folder.

If this does not work for the applications you are using, you would need to
report it separately for each application.

Only the application developers can decide which configuration options are
movable to the ported version; we cannot simply copy all files from .kde to
.config folder.

I've provided to examples with 4.8.0 and 5.0.0.  One thing I noticed about the
old one is it would not try to show the total for some if they were too close
together and the old one always showed the total on the left side of the dot.

Hi

Since I upgraded to the version 5.0.0 of KMyMoney, I've noticed the shortcut
Ctrl+Shift+Space to mark a transaction as reconciled, no longer works. I've
also checked the "Configure Shortcuts" window, but I didn't find anything that
allowed me to create a shortcut to mark a transaction as reconciled.

This is a very convenient shortcut because it's very common action you do all
the time. It was available by default in the version 4.x. I would really
appreciate, if you could migrate/implement this shortcut to/in the new version
any time soon.

The settings for window decorations are incredibly easy to miss. The button

With "plasma-workspace" v5.11.5 and lower, I was able to adjust the font size
and colour of the notification body as follows:

Whenever I do the same with v5.12.0, the body is *completely missing*.  In
other words, all I see in the notification popup is the summary!

Works for me too on Kubuntu 17.10 with Plasma 5.12.

Given that the wallpaper types are also not available, these issues are
probably linked and caused by an upgrade or user configuration issue. Please
try a forum or support group for your distro. If a real bug shakes out of that
conversation, go ahead and re-open this.

#3 sounds fine. I'm torn on #s 1 and 2. I can see the utility for casual users,
but can also see how it would get annoying for heavy users. Perhaps we could

Resizing Systemsettings window in sidebarview is visually unpleasant due to
slow redraw speed. There are glitches and a black bar stretching to the empty

Fix columns sorting.

Summary:
QTreeWidgetItem in Qt5 requires overloading < operator to implement
custom sorting. Use existing compare methods to do that.

Additionally, natural sorting was implemented for strings.
This allows to sort by filenames like file_.

Test Plan:
Click on columns to sort them.
Columns are sorted by artist, album and track number.

Avoid crash on tree view mode by disabling tree view mode :(

I can't decipher the brokenness here in a way that will lead to a quick
fix, so disable the broken feature for now to avoid causing needless
crashes for a feature that currently doesn't work at all.

That's the root issue, I guess my title might be a conclusion drawn too fast.

I've got a better idea, how about this:

1. "Quit after Save" unchecked: No notification for "Save" and "Save As".
   (Otherwise it might get annoying.)
2. "Quit after Save" checked: Notification for "Save" and "Save As".
   (As a confirmation of success and a way to access the folder.)
3. Add "Open Screenshots Folder" to our new and shiny "Tools" menu.

Every time I try to zoom in and out, it doesn't happen until I click somewhere.
The actions I do on the canvas is delayed and it makes it difficult to draw
accurately on the program because I can not see the output at all. The brush
also freezes in place on the screen when I move it near the canvas, so I have
no idea where my real brush is or where I am drawing.

The problem here may be that QDateTime can return -1 for invalid dates. Cast to
a 32-bit unsigned int, -1 is 4294967295, and interpreted as a timestamp that's
exactly 2106-02-07 07:28. The code doesn’t handle this case, as far as I can
tell.

Notably, I’ve had this happen with completely valid feeds with correct time
zone and ISO time strings. I’m not sure what the root cause is. The same feeds
will work if I delete all Akregator settings and import it anew.

Here's what I'm seeing for two different job completion conditions

 - Sequence Completion: Can re-run the job over and over - GOOD

 - Multiple jobs mixed of the two: seems to work fine - GOOD

 - Repeat for _N_ runs - will repeat N times as specified. An attempt to re-run
this job (by restarting it) fails with "No valid jobs found, aborting..."
message. If you edit the job and change N (e.g. N+1) it will run that new
number of times. If you try to run it again, the same failure occurs. If you
run the job several times to Sequence Completion as above, then switch to
Repeat for ___ runs it will run.

 - Run one "N runs" job, deleted it, then re-add an identical job gives
"observation job is already complete" message.

One thing I noticed is if you have multiple jobs with "Repeat for __ runs" they
all have to repeat the same number of times. You can't have one job repeat 2
times and another repeat 3 times, they both have to repeat the same number of
times. I also noticed you can't edit the priority of a job once it is in the
list. These are probably a different item to be tracked. I'll open bugs on
those two independently if you prefer.

System settings -> application style -> window decorations -> buttons

If you don't want menus in the window titles, don't have the application menu
icon in your list of buttons.

Similar situation can happen with the global menu applet being placed on the

If you alter the "notifications" sound volume does that make a difference?
(open the full volume controls from the "settings" menu in the plasma applet,
and it will be under notifications)

7zip 18.01 on Windows also says there are "header errors" but doesn't say what

Can you right click on both and select "edit application" 

I want to see the name (probably org.kde.discover) in the editable box in the

I am on a laptop. My scripter window is wide enough that it obscures the rest
of the krita window. It also means that if I switch applications - eg bash
shell - the scripter window and its output disappears. So to get it back I
first need to click the krita window, then click the scripter window to give it
focus.

I honestly don't think this is a bug in Klickety but either a bug in plasma or
a misconfiguration in your system, applications *never* care about if sound is
muted or not, they always produce the sound and it's the responsability of the
sound system to let it through or not, so i'm reassigning the bug to
plasmashell in case there's something specific in plasma failing.

Confirmed fixed. It doesn't have the described "expected results" (the
screenshot is of the otherwise-active window, with any overlap of the switcher
rendered correctly), but the behaviour is now reasonable.

There was no video at the time the screen failed to turn off. But I had played
videos earlier on reddit and it's possible they crashed for reasons.

Like I said earlier, this is not easy to debug because I have little idea how
it got into that state.

That's why I was hoping there was a way to check it's state through GUI or CLI.

Hmmm

$ rpm --query --file $(which 7z)
p7zip-plugins-16.02-9.fc27.x86_64

$ rpm --query --file $(which 7za)
p7zip-16.02-9.fc27.x86_64

Actually, if the version number of p7zip (the latest p7zip at sourceforge is
indeed 16.02) corresponds to the version number of 7z, it's a bit out of date.
The 7z latest is 18.01/2018-01-28, 16.02 was 2016-05-21. 

"Bugs have been fixed" in the meantime:

Maybe it's one of those bugs.

(Incidentally, 15.05 was the one with the exploitable vulnerabilities:
http://blog.talosintelligence.com/2016/05/multiple-7-zip-vulnerabilities.html -
Completely unfunnily, the 7z history log says nothing about these; this does
not inspire confidence in 7z. At all. Langsec: Serious business!)

I will test this on a Windows machine nearby.

Confirming, for me FN+Brightness up/down and also power button stopped working,
even though I have it configured to suspend the computer in the energy saving

Upon pondering on the problem, I realized it is bigger than the case you
reported. A user is able to enter any syntactical nonsense and KBibTeX will be
happy to write it to a file.

What is needed is a context-sensitive parser that checks the user's input and
validates it for correctness before accepting it. Bare minimum for such a
parser is to check for matching opening and closing parenthesises.

Furthermore, this parser has to be applied at any point where BibTeX data can
get modified to catch any user error.

Unfortunately, I am a little bit short on time and to reach a 0.8 release
anytime soon, I will have to postpone a fix for this bug.

I see only potential confusion if one can wrap from "last author" to "author
1". However, I suggest to Qt to support special value texts both for minimum
and maximum:

So, for now I will stay at the two-combobox solution until a clearly better
solution becomes viable.

I tweaked the previous commit a little bit to support a tenth author|word for
the upper end of the range. Please check and confirm that nothing got broken.

I like the icon but as already written there is no sudo terminal in addition
it's not very common nowadays to start GUI apps in sudo mode.

If you like submit a krusader and krusader sudo icon cause this really didn't
fit oxygen-icons.

Works now, apparently has been fixed in the meantime. (I didn't notice, as due
to the many icon quirks in Oxygen I switched to the Breeze icons some time ago.
If the situation is better now, I'll try to switch back because I like the
Oxygen icons much better than the somewhat dull Breeze icons.)

Thanks for the proposed patch. I was hit by that problem today and am still
panicking a bit while restoring my feeds. :D

I am not that familiar with the Qt pointers but might a QScopedPointer be
enough here?

Can you try to get a backtrace when it freezes? You need to run falkon in gdb
and ctrl+c when it freezes.
Although you say that the whole system except cursor freezes, so this is most
likely issue with your graphics driver.
