There we go, found a way to reproduce on Linux after the more detailed
instructions. https://webmshare.com/6jDEB

Open vector layer
Draw a line with the Line Tool
Double click the Edit Shapes Tool so that a new node appears
Undo the node.

[Bluedevil] [Bug 393240] New: bluetooth not working when resuming from suspend

2018-04-17 Thread Joe
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393240

Bug ID: 393240
Summary: bluetooth not working when resuming from suspend
   Product: Bluedevil
   Version: 5.12.4
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Created attachment 112090
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=112090=edit
screenshot showing the problem

When resuming from suspend, the list of bluetooth devices in the bluetooth menu
appears blank. When attempting to make a new bluetooth connection to
headphones, the connection immediately connects and then fails. This is not
resolved until you log out, and log back in (you don't need to restart).

Stopping and starting bluetooth does not fix the issue. only logging out,
logging back in, or restarting the computer allows me to connect to headphones
again.

I'm using a Dell XPS 13 9360 with Jabra Move bluetooth headphones, and am
connected to WiFi. I am running the latest Kubuntu 18.04 daily with the latest
packages as of this bug report. I also have the gnome session installed (but
am using the kde greeter), but do not see the same issue on the gnome side with
bluetooth.

I am uploading attachments of the issue before and after suspending the system
(excuse my limited Gimp skills)

[krita] [Bug 393209] Krita crashes on the vector layer when undoing a mistake

2018-04-17 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393209

First I opened the Vector Layer, then I drew a shape with the Line Tool,
then I tried shaping it with the Shape Tool (obviously), and when I
accidentally clicked on it twice, it made a square node, but when I tried
to do undo it it crashed the entire program.

I know that you can't undo the node, but I don't think it should crash the
entire program when trying to undo it.

And if it helps: I tried it on a different computer and it still did it.
Both of them are Windows 8.

I'm also using the newest version of Krita 4.0.1

[partitionmanager] [Bug 393236] KDE Partition Manager crash when observing or scrolling detailed report

2018-04-17 Thread Ivo C
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393236

It was a GPT disk and I was resizing a Windows NTFS partition (primary type but
a data partition, not Windows system, flags: msft-data). It was positioned last
on the disk and I shrunk it from 490 to 440 GB, to free up space at the end of
the disk.

As the operation first started, I clicked opened the collapsible item in the
top part first and then clicked "Details >>". I scrolled a few times at the
start of the operation. Then I didn't touch it and let it finish. I came back
after it had finished, saw "successfully completed" and scrolled to the top to
review the output and as I was scrolling/looking at it, it crashed. I can't say
with certainty whether it's related to scrolling or if it happened exactly when
scrolling, because that's not something I paid attention to.

I think that's all the detail I can provide. I can try to play around more with
it when I have the time and see if I can reproduce it. But I don't know how
effective it will be because I can't really do resizes of this magnitude (and
under the same circumstances unless I reformat it with Windows) and this is my
production system. I hope these details can help you and I'm willing to do what
I can to help narrow it down if possible.

The bug here is that whatever made the file no longer exist isn't being added
to the undo/redo stack. It works properly when the file has been put into the
trash, but not when the file has been deleted. I was able to reproduce that in
Dolphin and KIO from git master (i.e. KF 5.46 and Dolphin 18.08).

That seems like a Dolphin-specific issue though, not KIO's problem. Moving
there.

It is called "Create blank frame" right now and you can assign shortcuts to
that. That actually creates a new keyframe at your current position. We might
need to work on how we name these things since we have been adding so many
actions recently.

I am going to rename this ticket to improve how we name our animation actions.

Maybe there is any more information that you can provide?
At least what was the type of file system and maybe the rough size before and
after?

So from what I understood, you clicked "Details >>" button and was just
scrolling down? It's even stranger that crash happened during scrolling... KPM
is not doing anything in particular while you scroll...

So far I can't reproduce it and if I can't reproduce then there is no way I can
fix it. Somehow backtraces in kpmcore often blame Partition::sectorsUsed even
when the problem is elsewhere, so unfortunatly backtrace won't be enough...

Save the dialog view settings when closing the dialog without hitting the
cancel button

Summary:
Save the view settings when the user closes the dialog using the excape key or
the titlebar close button. Completes the feature requested in 209559.

Depends on D12227

Test Plan: Compile and deploy change, open Kate, open a file open or save
dialog, change some settings, hit the escape key or the titlebar cancel button,
then open a dialog again

Git commit b49e4dd526f6f3495072d96a151ac439a811cb5c by Nathaniel Graham.
Committed on 17/04/2018 at 22:30.

Save the dialog view settings even when canceling

Summary:
Currently, for file Open & Save dialogs, any view settings you've changed are
only remembered if you actually open or save the file; they're ignored if you
cancel the dialog using the {nav Cancel} button. there's no particular reason
why a user should want to discard any view changes just because they decided
not to open or save the file, so we should fix that.

This patch fixes a bug causing the issue: the attempt to write the changed view
config settings was issued //after// the KDirOperator had already been
destroyed, so its settings were unavailable to be saved. Reversing the ordering
of the statements fixes the issue.
FIXED-IN: 5.46

Test Plan:
Open a file open or save dialog, change the view, hit the cancel button, then
open it again.

Note: this patch does //not// fix the case of the view not being saved when
closing the dialog via the Escape key or the titlebar close button; those cases
need to be separately handled in the QPA theme plugin, which actually creates
the dialog window; see D12239 and D12240.

[kio] [Bug 359027] add possibility to follow symbols during copying/moving files/folders

2018-04-17 Thread Gregor Mi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359027

1. One could use it to compile big files like movies locally by symlinking them
into one folder and then copy the data to an USB drive all at once to avoid
parallel copying.

2. Or one could organize pictures by different criterion by creating folders
("home", "artistic", "best-shot" ...) and place symlinks inside. And again,
making a copy of such a folder would be easily possible.

[partitionmanager] [Bug 393236] New: KDE Partition Manager crash when observing or scrolling detailed report

2018-04-17 Thread Ivo C
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393236

Bug ID: 393236
Summary: KDE Partition Manager crash when observing or
scrolling detailed report
   Product: partitionmanager
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: andr...@stikonas.eu
  Reporter: waz...@protonmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: partitionmanager (3.2.1)

Qt Version: 5.9.4
Frameworks Version: 5.44.0
Operating System: Linux 4.15.16-300.fc27.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I resized a partition and the operation succeeded. I was viewing the detailed
command line report in the window and scrolling through it when Partition
Manager crashed. No attempt to reproduce it because I don't need any other
partitioning operations.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
This is done from a Fedora 27 KDE live media (respin 2018-04-15). The PC has an
NVIDIA GPU and is currently using the nouveau driver which causes random and
fairly minor graphical artifacts in all applications (especially text boxes and
buttons) but this hasn't impacted the stability of any other applications, so
is unlikely to be related to the crash.

In retrospect, and with a few extra months' experience under my belt, this
probably needs to go back to Gwenview: KIO can't know what formats the app
supports; it's up to the app to signal that. So when the file's current MIME
type is not supported for writing, Gwenview should make sure not to include
that MIME type in the list of supported MIME types that the Save As dialog
presents to the user.

Hmm... the line in question is this one:

qPrintable(transponder.getTransmissionType()));

With sounds OK on my eyes, as qPrintable is a valid statement:
http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtglobal.html#qPrintable

As Qt 5.11 is still a WIP, I suspect that this is a transitory regression at
their development tree. You should probably open a bug for Qt.

I know, but that issue have to be worked around (so annoying) and, if you
agree, we can find a way to fix it because :

If I understand correctly one have to make a rule for every windows ? It's not
viable. Let alone the poor discoverability. Maybe should I open a new bug to
add a setting for selecting where the windows must be opened ?

I don't remember what is this about now, after 3+ years.

Git commit d54c4979cbffc557e9c8bc3658aba90c509d1f6c by Ralf Habacker.
Committed on 17/04/2018 at 18:31.
Pushed by habacker into branch 'Applications/18.04'.

Fix "c++ importer does not recognize 'explicit' keyword"

It would be better to have a way to add more than one stereotype
to a UMLObject, but that's not yet implemented. Instead, an imported
explicit constructor gets a stereotype "explicit constructor".

A c++ test file has been added with this commit.

[kate] [Bug 362810] 15.12.3: Spelling - "Add to dictionary" does not remember added words

2018-04-17 Thread Kevin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362810

I can confirm this behavior on Arch Linux kate 17.12.3 and kwrite 17.12.3.
However, once I add the word to the dictionary using calligra 3.1.0, then kate
and kwrite recognize the word. What file are these words stored in?

Most applications (incorrectly) specify the position where they want to be
placed. They indicate that the user specified this position. KWin is obliged to
use this position. Most likely this is the cause for your problem. There's
nothing we can do about it, so I set to invalid.

Please note that KWin does not use the primary screen setting. Windows (which
don't specify the position) are placed on the active screen; either the screen
with the active window or the screen under mouse depending on settings.
