this option specifies not move the transaction date and process it anyway

[kdeconnect] [Bug 394069] New: Share file from android don't work on Moto X4

2018-05-09 Thread nicolash

Bug ID: 394069
Summary: Share file from android don't work on Moto X4
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Target Milestone: ---

Hi

I changed my old Samsung A5 (Android 7) to an Moto X4 (Android 8.0.0)

Everything work with kdeconnect except sending files from my new phone. I can
browse the phone from my PC, get files, reply to SMS, etc. But send file from
my Moto X to PC immediately fail with a notification "can't send file".

Send file still work with my old Samsung, so I suspect it's an incompatibility
of the app with my new phone.

I tried to delete .config/kdeconnect/ directory with no result. Alway the same
bug.

Here is the log of kdeconnectd when trying to send file :

kdeconnect.core: Starting server ssl (I'm the client TCP socket)
kdeconnect.core: FileTransferJob Downloading payload to

kdeconnect.plugin.share: File transfer failed. QUrl("file:///home/nicolas/Moto
X/IMG_20180509_175227568_HDR.jpg")

I don't know how to get log from Android App...

I'm using last .deb for KDE Neon kdeconnect 1.3.0-0neon+16.04+xenial+build10

I have the same problem on my old Thinkpad running
1.2.0-0neon+16.04+xenial+build6

On my two phones I use last Google Store version 1.8.2

@Quiralta I have attached the specific brush to this bug report incase that
helps.

I have uninstalled xf86-input-wacom and will see if the problem goes away.

I am unable to install libevdev. Archlinux comment says:

➜ ~ sudo pacman -Ss libevdev
extra/libevdev 1.5.9-1 [installed]
Wrapper library for evdev devices

I think it may directly wrap evdev to libinput for legacy and be required.

I will try each of your suggestions to see if I can narrow it down.

To try to reproduce please use a large canvas heavy document (~800 Megabytes
when opened) 1950 x 3232 @ 300 DPI.

I will report my progress.

[krita] [Bug 394067] New: Palette is really flakey

2018-05-09 Thread Kenneth Evans
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394067

Bug ID: 394067
   Summary: Palette is really flakey
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.0
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Dockers
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@kenevans.net
  Target Milestone: ---

I am having trouble using the Palette docker at all.

Some examples:

I save a new palette, say Test, then select it, then press + to add a color:
Nothing happens
The added colors seem to appear if I choose another palette, then re-choose
Test.

Having some colors showing, I then press delete (Circle with slash):
Nothing happens.
Again, if I choose another palette, then re-choose Test, the color is not
there.

These two seem reproducible. At other times:

Pressing delete: Krita crashes.
Sometimes the added colors have appeared but in narrow boxes, not squares.
Cannot drag the colors.
Sometimes can drag the colors but only to the left.
Creating a new Group fills it with ten colors of the last selected color.
Can't delete groups.
So far have been able to drag a color from one group to another.

I haven't quantified all these. I also haven't redone all the tests I made
with selecting another palette, then re-selecting Test after doing an
operation. The fact that it doesn't refresh is undoubtedly compounding the
problems. At a minimum, not refreshing is an issue.

I have started and restarted Krita numerous times and cleaned out the bad
palettes in AppData/Roaming/krita/Palettes. It has crashed maybe five times in
the last couple of hours.

I also notice Save does not save the current palette with a new name, but
creates a new, empty one. I'm not sure if this is the correct behavior, but it
is not what I would expect.

[LabPlot2] [Bug 386800] Custom fitting often fails

2018-05-09 Thread Uwe Stöhr
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386800

As I wrote in comment 22: "the fitting result are now correct but as long as
LabPlot does not draw the fit curve with the given start parameters, the
problem is not fixed in my opinion."

> does MagicPlot Pro find the "correct" parameter values when the starting
> values are 1,1,1? If it is, then it's almost magic

Well, it is called MagicPlot ;-) No, it does not find the optimal fit result
with these parameters. it finds this:
https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=108821

The reason this bug is now still open is that LabPlot does not give feedback
about the fit curve. So if I use 1,1,1 as start parameter it is very important
that LabPlot drawn immediately the function
exp(sin(x))+1
into the plot. Then the user gets a feeling if his start parameters are
sensible.

Hi. Thanks for having reported this crash. IIRC at that time there had been a
few reports like that (done in chats).

As the backtrace did not show any hints to what could be wrong in the weather
applets (config) code, I had only watched this report, hoping for some further
information one day or some QML-internals experienced person to appear to help
me.

Given it is now many months later, and I have not heard similar reports for a
while or experienced myself any crashes despite heavy configuration changing
during development testing, I would assume that the actual issue had been
somewhere deep in Qt's QML engine code or somewhere in the Plasma Framework
code, and since has been fixed there in newer versions.

So closing the report now for bug report listing maintenance.
Please reopen if you still experience such crashes.

I remember something like this way back (probably more than a year ago)and it
was present only when using some stabilizing or the dynamic brush.

Right now I can't reproduce this on my Arch/Plasma box, but for starters I
would suggest to remove evdev as libinput can handle tablets just fine. (unless
you use a device that strictly requires it).

Also make sure no curves where modified for either the brush or the pen,
unlikely but is worth to mention.

[plasmashell] [Bug 394006] Weather widget applet window too small by default

Friedrich W. H. Kossebau changed:

   What|Removed |Added

Hi, thanks for the report. This is a known issue with the old layout code of
the weather widget for the full presentation mode, which has a hard-coded
random initial size. not taking into account any possible content.
And that size not only depends on chosen font sizes, but also on data provided
by the selected weather service, where some services have lots of days in the
forecast, others only a few.

And with EnvCan there is additionally this glitch that the forecast reports are
split into day & night, screwing over the UI concept and doubling the
need-for-width.

Myself I have had only adapted this code as maintainer for Plasma 5 and since
done some porting and brush over, but did not yet get around to adapt the
general Plasma dataengine forecast data model to deal with that.

But at least I already have rewritten the UI layout code, which now adapts to
the content (few glitches still, but mainly done).

Sadly this will be only available for Plasma 5.13 and later, given this also
was done based on other refactoring done meanwhile. So for the Plasma LTS
versions 5.8 & 5.12 this would be too much of a rewrite for this annoying, but
relativly minor bug.

Keeping this bug report open for now, but will close it once I am done with the
last glitches in the new layout code.

Speak of the devil, just glanced at the clock and the seconds (along with
hours/minutes and the rest of the desktop is frozen. Froze an hour and ten
minutes ago (uptime 2:18) and all I've been using is kmail, Dolphin & Chrome
with 8 tabs open. And of course CNTRL-ALT-F1 followed by CNTRL-ALT-F7 starts it
working again.

(In reply to Joe from comment #105)
> Something I noticed last night: when the panel gets stuck like this even

That's the trick I use too. :-)

Interestingly that trick does not work when plasma hangs when you move (cut &
paste) a large number of files using Dolphin. Plasma stays frozen until the
freeze ends, the time period of the froze being depending on the number of
files moved. Try moving 1000 files and see how long plasma freezes for..

gnome-shell does this natively. In KDE, user is still forced to write a script

[Falkon] [Bug 394066] New: [Vertical Tabs] No tab switching with mouse wheel on full sidebar

2018-05-09 Thread Theo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394066

Bug ID: 394066
Summary: [Vertical Tabs] No tab switching with mouse wheel on
full sidebar
   Product: Falkon
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: alpha0...@yahoo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

When the tabs don't fit into the vertical space of the sidebar, a scrollbar
appears and the mouse wheel can no longer be used to switch tabs. Instead, it
causes normal vertical scrolling. Desired behavior is normal scrolling only
when the mouse cursor is on the scrollbar, and tab switching when the mouse
cursor is located over the tabs.
