[digikam] [Bug 395202] Cannot mass apply geolocation metadata in "Details" tab to multiple images

2018-06-10 Thread Milan Knížek
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395202

The best solution would be if the Details tab behaves like the Tags:

If multiple images with different GPS data are selected, the "tick" mark is
semi-grey (selecting it would lead to override - either clear or set the same
value; if untouched no change would be applied to images).

If it is easier to implement, your suggestion to simply paste values to empty
fields only would work for my use case, too.
(Sometimes I do not have GPS data and do not care much about the exact location
- I just need to place all images to some location on the map and set very low
GPS precision (DOP) to indicate this is intentionally wrong.)

P.S I will report the bug re. ignored GPSDOP value separately.

I can confirm this bug. Re-production steps for the latest KDE Neon Git
Unstable are given below:

1) Boot the iso (this isn't relevant but I tested this in qemu as follows:
`qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -cpu host -vga virtio -m 8G -cdrom
neon-devedition-gitunstable-20180605-0736-amd64.iso`)
2) Install Akregator (in Konsole: `sudo apt update`, `sudo apt install
akregator`)
3) Open Akregator and "Fetch All Feeds"
4) Right-Click any item and select "Share on Pocket"
5) Note the URL that is opened is https://getpocket.com/login?e=2 instead of
https://getpocket.com/save?url={{url}}={{title}}

In System Settings (under "Default Applications", "Web Browser") the problem
persists when using "in the following application: Firefox Web Browser".
Setting the default web browser to "with the following command:
/usr/bin/firefox" does not have this behaviour and works as intended with
firefox opening the original link.

2018-06-10 Thread erik90mx
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395231

Bug ID: 395231
Summary: Pick color from "current and below layers" and
"current and below layers without filters"
   Product: krita
   Version: 4.0.3
  Platform: Windows CE
OS: Windows CE
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Color Selectors
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org

  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,

I come from several years using Photoshop (15 years so so), and there is this
workflow that I always use when I work with several layers + filters.

Scenario: I have a lot of layers nested in a group, at the top there are
filters (usually curves or leves) https://prnt.sc/jtgng4

-I need to create a layer above another layer containing colors/images etc, to
make a fix or correction.
-I always choose the "current and below" option of the color picker in
photoshop (this setup will affect the brush color picker sub tool too)
-This way I select several times while painting, some colors from the layers
below, without being afected by the filters at the top.

*** Right now I can select a color doing -control- while using the brush tool,
but the one picked is a color afected by the filters, my workaround (very time
consuming), is with R choose the layer below, change to the brush tool and
press control+alt to just select the color from the current layer (wihtout
being afected by the filters), then come back to the layer selected before with
the ; key ***

Can confirm that Krusader in normal mode opens with associated application,
even when I select "Run" in drop down menu. I'm not sure if I like what Dolphin
is doing to the .desktop file: when I choose "Execute", Dolphin changes the
content of the file by prepending "#!/usr/bin/env xdg-open" and modifies
permissions without asking.

Not sure if this is a bug, but it seems Render Animation remembers its options
which is a bit annoying when you had a 24frame animation that is rendered to
4fps.

Like, I can understand with it remembering the frame resize, but maybe not the
fps...

[krusader] [Bug 372023] ISO files listing/extracting broken

2018-06-10 Thread Theo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372023

(In reply to Nikita Melnichenko from comment #7)
> if you feel like you can
> help figuring out the reason, you're more than welcome to do this. I can
> help you with the debugging setup, etc.

What would this setup roughly look like? Using my distributor's
debuginfo/debugsource packages and investigating with GDB, I can say the
following so far (note that I might not really know what I'm doing here, and
that I can provide details on my findings if necessary):

kio_iso uses KArchive's KCompressionDevice[1] to access the ISO file. The
device is created in KIso::prepareDevice and KCompressionDevice's constructor
creates a QIODevice and a QFileDevice. The corresponding *Private devices have
separate sets of member variables 'pos' and 'devicePos' that get out of sync
when the QFileDevice is closed at the end of KIso::openArchive. The QFileDevice
is reset to offset zero while QIODevice keeps the offset positions it has after
reading the ISO file system. When the ISO file is opened for reading the file
data, QFileDevice's offset positions are treated as if they haven't been reset
and subsequent seeks fall short of the requested offset.

Now I don't know whether QIODevice's offset should be reset when the
QFileDevice is closed after reading the file system or when it is opened for
reading the requested file data, but I tried the latter after reading the
following in the Qt documentation:

"When subclassing QIODevice, you must call QIODevice::seek() at the start of
your function to ensure integrity with QIODevice's built-in buffer."[2]

Replacing

if (size && !m_isoFile->device()->isOpen())
m_isoFile->device()->open(QIODevice::ReadOnly);

by

if (size && !m_isoFile->device()->isOpen()) {
m_isoFile->device()->open(QIODevice::ReadOnly);
m_isoFile->device()->seek(0);
}

in kio_isoProtocol::getFile (iso/iso.cpp) seems to work and I get the correct
file data on the first try.

This does not fix the issue of missing files in the directory listing, compare
for instance the contents of '/ISO9660' and '/El Torito BootJoliet level 3'
when browsing sgd_cdrom_1.30.iso as archive.

Regarding my question about reading through a lot of data when requesting file
data, it seems that the problem here is kio_iso's use of KCompressionDevice for
uncompressed ISO files. KCompressionDevice does not seem to support random
access and a seek is implemented as a read from the beginning, even for
uncompressed files. This seems like a really stupid idea since ISO files tend
to be big and should be read with a method that supports random access.

The binding.json that you use has nested lists. That is currently not
supported. The bug is that there is no error message for that.

You can nest a List or a Tree in an Object.

Could you remodel the structure into something where there is no nesting of
Lists of Trees?

Please specify the version of qt you have, I see cmake (3.11), gcc (8.1.1), qt,
kde appllications (5.46.0), and kde-frameworks (5.8.2) from the output you
attached.) I have been having this problem for some time, but nobody else has
been unable to replicate it, so any evidence that will help figure out the
actual cause will be helpful. (I'm on Artix LInux, and I think all my versions
are the same or higher, with qt 5.11) I still suspect some gcc difference, but
have no real proof. I would suspect qt, but I'm pretty sure we differ by minor
version only, and they don't break API compatability within major version.

[dolphin] [Bug 395226] New: Selecting a kioslave from the dropdown menu results in unnavigable folders

2018-06-10 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395226

Bug ID: 395226
Summary: Selecting a kioslave from the dropdown menu results in
unnavigable folders
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: bars: location
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: aiwend...@googlemail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When clearing the address bar of dolphin then selecting a kio-slave in the
appearing dropdown box it gets entered in the address bar with two slashes at
the end (example: "tags://", "timeline://", "settings://"). Pressing return on
that one displayes the "root" of the kio-slave just fine...but if trying to
navigate into the virtual "subfolders" of a kio-slave results in an "Invalid
Protocol" error. If one of the trailing slashes is removed manually from the
address bar folder navigation is possible again.

Version: 18.04.2 (Sorry, was missing in the dropdown above)

Steps to reproduce:

- start dolphin
- Click the address bar and delete everything
- Select the more->"Timeline" kioslave (but works with everyone, this one just
is guaranteed the have at least a "today" virtual subfolder)
- "timeline://" is entered in the address bar
- press to load
- "today" and "Calendar" folders are displayed
- click the "today" folder to open it
- "Invalid Protocoll" (German setting here..."Ungültiges Protokol", guess the
English message at the moment)

A bit more details
- Click the address bar again and only remove the last "/" from "timeline://"
then press again
- click "today" folder again...works now

Expected behaviour:
I am not sure what the exact expected behaviour is. In general...that I can
open folder directly after selecting a kio-slave from the dropdown. But not
sure if the two "slashes" are the problem...I don't really see why any leading
additional slash should change anything.."home/" in the adddressbar still
opens /home. So either allowing dolphin an arbitrator amount of slashes between
kio-slave protocol and first subfolder...or at least having the dropdown insert
the kio-slave with only one slash so that is works right away.

Hmm, the bug system lost the comment I put in before attaching a patch.

What I put in originally works on qt-5.11 but not on 5.10. I think the correct
fix is to test for 5.10, not 5.11, with an operand of greater than or equal.

I can reproduce this.
Furthermore, with a multiscreen setup, I can open a plasma context menu
(right-click on the background-image) per screen at the same time.

Additionaly: Plasma context menus close when I click anywhere (doesn't matter
if it's another application or the plasma itself). This is intended behavior,
however, this does not work for context menus opened by right-clicking on
panels. The only possible way to close a context-menu opened by right-clicking
a panel is by right clicking on the panel again. (Which should probably
actually open a new context-menu replacing the old one?). Not even
left-clicking on the panel closes it.

Ok, the bug is in KDAv, in src/common/davcollectionsfetchjob.cpp,

line 305:  color.setNamedColor(colorValue);

This waits a color of the type ARGB, whereas the dav proides a RGBA color, as
specified by W3 [1].

Is it a Qt bug or should we implement it ourselves here?

I can partially confirm this. I set all my formats to the same as you. My
digital clock gets the date right - 10/06/18 - but the 12h/24h time is wrong.
Wrong, but fixable.

Right-click the digital clock widget and choose "Digital Clock Settings", then
look at the "Appearance" tab.

The 12h/24h clock display is being controlled by the "Use 24-hour Clock"
checkbox. The checkbox doesn't "obey" the locale setting. If you tick the box,
you'll get times like 16:07 instead of 04:07PM.

I'll have a look at the code and see if I can resolve this.

Thanks for the AppImage, way easier than compiling in VM.

However, the bug(s) are the same as described above.

P.S. The AppImage seems partially broken:

$ ./digikam-6.0.0-git-20180610T092015-x86-64.appimage
-- digiKam AppImage Bundle
-- Use 'help' as CLI argument to know all available options for digiKam

digikam: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1: undefined symbol:

Preloading local version seems to work:
$ LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libfreetype.so
./digikam-6.0.0-git-20180610T092015-x86-64.appimage

Screenshot of Print Preview rendering an HTML email as if HTML were disabled,
alongside the same email with HTML enabled.

When viewing an HTML email with HTML enabled, clicking Print Preview will
render the email as if HTML is disabled.

See attached screenshot. The maximized window is the email with HTML enabled,
the smaller window is with Print Preview. Notice the discrepancy.

Additionally, when the email is actually printed (via the Print Preview
window), it is printed as if HTML were disabled. If you print via the email
view directly with HTML enabled, it prints correctly.

This occurs on Kontact/Kmail 5.7.3

After the update to 5.9, albums in the tree view which where uncollapsed once
during the session, are again uncollapsed after a restart of digikam. The same
happens after opening album properties - all once opened album subtrees are
displayed again.

Over time, this leads to nearly the whole album tree being uncollapsed with no
way to permanently collapse it again.
