[plasmashell] [Bug 397410] Plasma shell crashes when right click on an item from Application menu

Omar changed:

Since fixing fwupd.xml fixed the issue, I think it might be an issue with the
`fwupd` package, and when plasma access the file it faces something unexpected
so it crashes.

But I thing you are right, this could also be fixed from plasma to guard it
from external issues. I will re-switch this to unconfirmed for a more
experienced dev to evaluate the issue

Can you share your device info, so that I can search it in the fwupd supported
devices, because I don't have this issue, and my device is not supported.

[kdevelop] [Bug 397062] missing Qt5 QDebug output

2018-08-15 Thread Omar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397062

Is this what the bug is about, because it seems to be working fine for me.

here KDevelop is writing the qDebug output to the application output without
setting any env vars.

I am on KDE Neon unstable, KDevelop v5.2.3

---
Please excuse any silly mistakes, this is my fist time using Qt or C++, and my
first day being evolved with KDE.

  Target Milestone: ---

This may be very helpful for those who are not familiar with regular
expressions, linux, kfind
What kind of regular expression can be used in kfind,
How about a regular expression list that you can select from drop down on a
changeable input bar?
It is the same as choosing the file type on the content tab
It would be nice to have another input bar without integrating with the name
column

It's just a filter bar like dolphin in the KDE file browser!
It would be nice to place it at the top of the search results in the Name \
Location tab
You can use it without switching to the content tab
And it will be a way to quickly refine from current search results.

1. Select all
2. Deselect all
3. check filter only

This will allow you to make multiple selections more quickly from search
results
You can also prevent erroneous clicking with the mouse
Operations on panels with many search results tend to generate erroneous clicks
with the mouse
Search results may be easier to navigate

For 3. check filter only
>From the search results, check only the result of the specific extension
You may lose the trouble of rearranging search results

We came up with a new function.

2018-08-15 Thread Manu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397435

Hi,
i manage to recompile it from latest master.
I got the same error.
But when i added :
set(CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE RelWithDebInfo)
just after
set(CMAKE_CXX_REQUIRED TRUE)
to the file CMakelists.txt
and rebuild all
I do not longer have the problem and everything seams to work like a charm
So, there's something really wreid there...
Any idea on how i can find what's wrong ?

[kwin] [Bug 397500] New: Keep Active Window Selected in Present Window

2018-08-15 Thread Andres Betts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397500

Bug ID: 397500
Summary: Keep Active Window Selected in Present Window
   Product: kwin
   Version: git master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: effects-present-windows
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: anditosan1...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When entering present windows your currently active window looses focus. This
makes it so that all windows loose focus on present windows and the user
doesn't know where the focus is. Like you have lost a pointer.

I would like to request to keep the focus on the focused window through present
windows.

We just discussed that again: The text preview does not have the same width as
the text view itself anyways, so proportions do not match. Dynamically wrapping
lines may be more confusing than helping here.

For now, this is a wont-fix. Maybe we will reconsider in the future. Or you
provide a patch so we can try this out. :-)

2018-08-15 Thread Dominik Haumann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=392926

Btw, the minimap is a representation also of how the scrollbar works. The
scrollbar always scrolls by real lines, never by dynamically wrapped lines.
Also, the minimap is just there to give the user a hint about the document
contents, so I don't think the scrollbar contents needs to be wrapped (in fact,
it would be wrong because of the real-line scrolling). So the minimpa-part is a
wont-fix.

Git commit 9c035669190bfb53f0a18b29da880debbabe662a by Dominik Haumann.
Committed on 15/08/2018 at 21:51.
Pushed by dhaumann into branch 'master'.

Fix crash when hiding the TextPreview widget

The problem was that the passed parent to the text preview
widget was the KateView, which is incorrect. The correct
parent is 'this', i.e. once the KateIconBorder, and once
the KateScrollBar.

[KScreen] [Bug 397499] New: [wayland] Show Warnings for 2X on Non HDPI Screens

2018-08-15 Thread Andres Betts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397499

Bug ID: 397499
Summary: [wayland] Show Warnings for 2X on Non HDPI Screens
   Product: KScreen
   Version: git
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm
  Assignee: se...@kde.org
  Reporter: anditosan1...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I happen to have a non-hidpi screen. When switching to 2X in the KScreen KCM,
the screen resolution goes crazy because there is no support. Now your screen
elements are bigger than the physical space and you can't interact with the
elements in the same way.

2 suggestions to mitigate this problem:

Below the 1x, 2x menu add a warning:

"Your screen does not support HDPI. It may not look right if you change this
setting"

If the user proceeds and you didn't realize it was going to look bad:

Create a popup with a "Revert" button to go back to the original resolution
with an Enter or Esc

And where is the wish/problem? The face tag is displayed and the face rectangle

that digiKam does not support.

Hi,

If all else fails, you can always try to reset Krita's settings:

But I don't think we can do anything from within Krita's code to protect it

So the thing is the following: The string in the bug report is just in one line
and contains 620 columns. The regular expression ";*" means match ';' as often
as possible. But even an empty string counts as match. So we get 620 matches,
just as many characters as we have in the document.

[digikam] [Bug 393974] Appimage version does not automatically recognize Android smartphones

2018-08-15 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393974

> 4/ look in digiKam if import menu include the phone entry

No, empty, just only one item: 'Add camera manualy...' (free translation from
polish).

> 5/ Report all debug traces from the terminal in this file.

Not even one line (or char) appeared after attaching phone to computer (OS
recognized this camera). So nothing to report, and I'm not sure if any previous
messages (many many of them generated by digikam) are relevant to this bug?

So I have added by hand the camera (Samsung galaxy models MTP), and during this
steps the messages on the terminal were as follow:

Digikam::DBinaryIface::checkDir: Testing  "mysql_install_db" ...
Digikam::adjustedEnvironmentForAppImage: Adjusting environment variables for
AppImage bundle
Digikam::DBinaryIface::checkDir: Found  "mysql_install_db"
Digikam::DBinaryIface::checkDir: Testing  "mysqld" ...
Digikam::adjustedEnvironmentForAppImage: Adjusting environment variables for

Digikam::DBinaryIface::checkDir: Found  "mysqld"
Digikam::DImg::load:

identified
Digikam::AlbumFilterModel::setSearchTextSettings: new search text settings: ""
: hasResult = true , validRows = 48
Digikam::DBusyDlg::setBusyThread: Thread is started
Digikam::DBusyDlg::slotComplete: Thread is complete
unknown: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 9162, resource id:
31457591, major code: 40 (TranslateCoords), minor code: 0
Digikam::SetupDatabase::applySettings: No DB settings changes. Do nothing...

After adding the phone (using automatic search option in the gphoto dialog
window) I have choosen the newly added item in the import menu and then digikam
generated a lot of messages and to my surprise DK appeared to know what I have
previously downloaded from this camera (previously DK treated this camera
added in such a way as new device). So I was able to download the latest
pictures.

Well, I have make one mistake, DK output the messages to screen not file, and
ksonsole buffer overwritten the most important messages. But they were anyway
connected with the manualy added camera, so not very relevant to this bug I
guess?
P.

Why is libgpgmepp.dll.a not available under MSVC?

Installing script under "libs/_msvc/gpgme/gpgme.py" adds following line:

2018-08-15 Thread Varaskkar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396378

The name is "systemsettings5" when I access keyboard dialog through System
Settings menu.

It's a little weird when I run "kcmshell5 kcm_keyboard" as it the process name
"systemsettings5" no longer appears. Instead of the process is "kcmshell5"
though must be the regular.

In the keyboard dialog loaded through "kcmshell5 kcm_keyboard", the test field
where you can try out the config, turn out doesn't detect the values of
keyboard repeat. If I change the lag value to 275 (current mine) to another and
after I write in test field, isn't affected in the keyboard config.

This happen in this dialog by the previous command like in Input Devices menu
of System Settings.

[plasmashell] [Bug 397160] Task manager don’t take Fitt’s law into account

2018-08-15 Thread ariasuni
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397160

OK so:

– I can reproduce the problem with a fresh new panel
– The problem happens when the panel is on the left, not on the right, despite
being identical in appearance
– I can’t see the wallpaper on the left
– The problem happens with Plasma themes Breeze Light, Breeze Dark, Air, Oxygen
– I can reproduce it with all the screen resolutions I can use, up to 1366×768
– Size of the panel doesn’t affect the issue
– Compositor being enable or disabled doesn’t affect the issue
– Settings of the widget don’t affect the issue

I can’t see anything else that could alter the behavior or layout of the
widget…

[krita] [Bug 397427] crash while painting on canvas

Canvas Graphics acceleration: checked.
Render: Auto(Open GL)
Scaling: High quality Filtering
Use texture buffer: checked

Before the graphics card change I had 5 crashes in three days. After I only
used for a day but no crashes so far. It seems much more stabe, maybe it is
some incompatibility with the inboard card.

2018-08-15 Thread Poomex
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397492

Bug ID: 397492
Summary: Crash when playing back video with "fade from black"
after "fade to black" effect
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 18.04.2
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Effects & Transitions
  Assignee: vpi...@kde.org
  Reporter: komanc...@gmail.com

Overview: Kdenlive crashes every time I try to add a "fade from black" effect
after a "fade to black" effect to my timeline and play it back.

I'm using the flatpak version of Kdenlive, 18.04

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open project file
2. Add a "fade to black" effect on first clip
3. Add a "fade from black" on the second clip
4. Play back both clips.

Reproducible: Always
