[ksmserver] [Bug 400800] screenlock's password field doesn't receive focus

Removing my kscreen workaround doesn't make any difference, but I found out
even w/o focus I can enter password. Nothing appears in the password field, but
it works.

Hi! I guess we can drop this, as no one else has commented over the years.

Currently I'm on 4.3.4 (RHEL6) without easy access to the latest version of
KDE/konqueror. And the website I gave as an example has now disappeared; it's
surprisingly hard to find websites with SSL error when one actually looks for
them!

Not reproducible for me with Filelight 18.08.2. The "Scan across filesystem
boundaries" correctly skips symbolic links to other filesystems, at least on my
BTRFS home directory. But maybe the problem is filesystem-specific; the bug
submitter should also test a recent version of Filelight with his or her setup.

steps to make kaddressbook work

GOOD NEWS!
I downloaded all dbgsym-files to kde applications in use
installed glibc-source but no improvement
   error missing ...template.S still present
installed eglib-source, improvement but next error about a missing file
appeared. still not collecting useful information
apt autoremove kaddressbook
aptitude reinstall kaddressbook
due to reinstallation of mariadb (mariadb refused to start after moving
directory /var to an external drive) I had to
[INSTALL, DEPENDENCIES] libqt5sql5-mysql:armhf 5.7.1+dfsg-3+rpi1
[INSTALL] akonadi-backend-mysql:armhf 4:16.04.3-4
now all elements of kontact are working flawlessly.
I just received an error message right now after closing the program but that
seems a minor thing after all the hassle.
cheers

>From what I can see, this problem still exists as I reported it.

When I opened my old k3b files, I either get empty lists or errors from the
files not being found. The errors are correct (I have almost completely
reorganized my files), but I don't understand the empty lists.

I currently run Xubuntu 18.04.1 LTS, k3b version 17.12.3.

I wouldn't call this urgent - I've deleted all the old k3b files because I
don't need them anymore. I can't even remember the last time I used one, and I
haven't used CentOS since 2010 when I switched to Ubuntu, then Xubuntu.

I can also confirm. Doesn't seem to matter if it is widget, terminal etc. Also
I can see my background image even after I switched it, but is like a combo of
the old image and the newer one, quite weird.

You should select "Automatic (only addresses)" as method option and then put
the dns server you want to use. Simply disconnecting and connecting again
should apply the change. Can you attach here output from "nmcli -f all
connection show connection_name"? If in the dns field you see your configured
DNS server, then I'm afraid that the problem is not on our side, but you will
be required to report it for NetworkManager.

I haven't seen this happen lately. As all Konqueror windows are now run by the
same process, which was not the case in Artful, if this bug happened, it would
hang all the windows at once.

This bug has been dragging on a bit.

How difficult can it be to uniquely identify every screen connected to a
computer? (For instance: Connector-Resolution-Serial if available, else 0)

The next step from that is if a known combination of screens are present the
configuration for that combination is applied. I believe that is how everyone
else does it.

However, this may be asking too much... I have an open bug on the HDD applet to
recognize when a new USB hard disk is plugged in, from 2016 I believe.

Just wonder on the progress of this one. As an image viewer application,
showing the image correctly on hidpi display is the basic functions. I known
AlienSkin software use QT, and it doesn't have such issues on both Windows and
Mac, I believe we should also fix this for Gwenview and Digikam as what we need
to do is to ignore the scale factors for displying the image.

freenode uses proper certificates now, so I don't have a means to test the
problem as it existed before. So, the problem may or may not exist, but I don't
have an easily accessible means of testing it myself--I'd have to setup my own
XMPP server and use a self-signed cert. I'm a bit busy to take that on right
now.

I don't have the issue any more. I also don't know by what version it was
fixed. If you're curious, here's a video of what the issue was:

https://youtu.be/DaLEZACZmmo?t=323

If no one else is experiencing the issue, it should closed.

Keep up the good work.
