[kaddressbook] [Bug 401918] Several of the most used IM services are absent and there is no way to add a custom service
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401918 --- Comment #4 from 12949...@opayq.com --- I can't really add a useful screenshot of the services selection because Spectacle doesn't work when when a drop-down menu is selected (why is that?). I've added a screenshot of the new contact dialog, the same as the dialog for editing a contact, where you can see the Messaging section. I've also added a screenshot of the IM services on Android's Contacts app, showing the services available and the "Custom" option. The iOS Contacts app works similarly, with a custom service option. cf. vCard Extensions for Instant Messaging (IM) https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc4770.txt -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[elisa] [Bug 400193] Elisa 0.2.1-r1 compilation error against qt 5.11.2-r1

The fix for this > compilation error is already present in master and the 0.3 stable branch. Hi Matthieu, thank you for the response. I have synced my repos two days ago and Elisa has been updated to 0.3.0 on 25.11.2018 within ~amd64 set, and yes, problem with compilation is indeed solved. Making this bug as resolved for older version seems fair enough, since Elisa is still evolving. BTW Elisa is very promising music player, keep up the good work, and thank you very much for this piece of software. [kwin] [Bug 401921] Cursor is duplicated on Kodi 18 RC2 running natively under Wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401921 --- Comment #7 from Martin Flöser --- Please do things as intended by the Wayland protocols: * Set a null surface on all pointer objects * Use pointer locking and relative pointer Drawing your own cursor without locking won't work - nowhere. The cursor might get warped or similar and then the pointer position is wrong. We can see that in the screenshot, the pointer positions of the two cursors are not identical. If you want to draw your own cursor, use locking - that's the intended interface for it. I'm refusing to investigate non issues. Rendering own cursor without locking is not supported. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-kio] [Bug 401506] [KDirOperator] Detailed views don't have an option to turn off automatic column widths
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401506 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |FIXED Version Fixed In||5.54 Latest Commit||https://commits.kde.org/kio ||/f28e343063783c6a0a6b925a39 ||0a1a1a5e10d91c Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham --- Git commit f28e343063783c6a0a6b925a390a1a1a5e10d91c by Nate Graham. Committed on 10/12/2018 at 04:48. Pushed by ngraham into branch 'master'. [KDirOperator] Don't squeeze Name column when there isn't enough horizontal space Summary: When a `KDirOperator` view is used in {nav Detailed} or {nav Detailed Tree} view, when there isn't enough horizontal space, the {nav Name} column currently gets squeezed and becomes illegible. This patch fixes that by making the name column fixed-width so it never gets too small to read the contents; instead the view sprouts a horizontal scrollbar, which is preferable. FIXED-IN: 5.54 Test Plan: In Kate's Filesystem Browser plugin sidebar view: {F6466450} In the open/save dialog when there's not enough horizontal space: {F6466451} In the open/save dialog when there //is// enough horizontal space: {F6466452} In this case, the other columns no longer stick to the right size of the view when the window is resized, which maybe isn't as nice as current behavior. Open to suggestions. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401941 Bug ID: 401941 Summary: Beta3 / beta2 launches but hangs... Now fear for DB! Product: digikam Version: 6.0.0 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Setup-FirstRun Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: d...@outlook.com Target Milestone: --- I've been using digikam 6.0 betas all of autumn - and today I downloaded latest beta 3 build - but now for the first time when launching the app digikam hangs- App windows opens and I see my tags and pics but the app goes "not responding" right away when clicking it. restarting it many times not helping - just hangs. So I downloaded official beta 2 and I see my content in the app but it just keeps hanging no matter what. Using latest MariaDB 10.3 What is there left to try? Just two days ago I DL'd and installed previous beta 3 build and digikam worked fine. But this most latest beta 3 build is not responding and now I fear losing DB... What to try to solve? Windows 10 x64 Edit: when it starts to hang mysql.exe is killed and it's not relaunching until the app is relaunched but then it "dies" again and digikam hangs :/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The exact steps are: 1. CTRL + N (create new) 2. create some vectors on 1 layer 3. switch to the "Select Shapes Tool" (important!) 4. duplicate the vector layer. [kdenlive] [Bug 397810] Crash with Composite and Transform
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397810 --- Comment #6 from Pozsgay Máté --- A quick update. It just came into my mind I have enabled an experimental feature: multiple processing thread. From the symptoms it looks like to me it is some kind of race condition issue, so I set back the processing threads to the default 1, and since then no matter how desperately I'm bashing the timeline, start/stop playback, enable/disable tracks; it just works fine. So it seems it is really some kind of threading issue. BTW, I'm using version 18.08.2 from ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable on Ubuntu Bionic with a kernel 4.18.20-041820-generic. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=397810 Pozsgay Máté changed: What|Removed |Added CC||matthew.li...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Pozsgay Máté --- I think I have encountered this issue as well. It is pretty easy to reproduce. Just grab a clip, and a picture (I want to use it as a logo). Place the video in the timeline, and the image above. Apply the transform effect on the image. (You can leave the default settings) Start the project playback while both the videos are enabled, and it crashes. Proxy clips mitigate the issue, but just a slightly better. Switching to "Preview" track compositing greatly reduce the likelihood of the crash. I also noticed if I start the playback only the video enabled, then enable the logo track as well the playback goes on and the logo displayed as well. However seeking to another position while the playing back, or stop the playback, and restarting it is likely to cause crash again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 401940] New: More than one Assistant Tool causes black rectangle to appear
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401940 Bug ID: 401940 Summary: More than one Assistant Tool causes black rectangle to appear Product: krita Version: 4.1.5 Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Tool/Assistants Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: weavermarqu...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Placing multiple assistants makes a black rectangle appear across the canvas near where they are placed. This bug is major as it severely limits the usability of the assistants tool. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Place an area covering assistant tool 2. Place another area covering assistant tool 3. A black bar will flicker or cover the canvas at various zooms. OBSERVED RESULT A large black rectangle appears at various zooms. https://i.imgur.com/vZlxqks.jpg There seems to be a "safe range" of zooms, between 54% and 100% inclusive, where there is no black rectangle and everything appears normally. When I go aboce 100% to about 140%, there are only a few locations on the screen where the black rectangle does not cover the screen, typically looking a safe distance away from the assistant tools. This applies to the vanishing point, rectangle, concentric ellipse, plane, perspective, and fish eye assistants. I have not tried the others. EXPECTED RESULT I expect to be able to use multiple assistant tools to display without causing black rectangles to show up. Thank you very much for your time and effort on Krita. [frameworks-kio] [Bug 401937] New: It's too easy to lose the original filename is Save As dialog
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401937 Bug ID: 401937 Summary: It's too easy to lose the original filename is Save As dialog Product: frameworks-kio Version: unspecified Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Open/save dialogs Assignee: fa...@kde.org Reporter: magib...@hotmail.com CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 116819 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=116819=edit Link to video reproducing case of user frustration SUMMARY It is not strange for a user using the Save As dialog to click on other files and folders before making their final choice, even if it's by mistake. However, by doing this they might easily lose track of the original filename of the file they were intending to save -- and it seems the interface does not help recovering it. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run the 'Save As' dialog from an application which uses it (e.g. Kate or Falkon). Make sure to have a filename suggestion (e.g. avoid saving an Untitled document in Kate because that doesn't provide any). 2. Click on a file from the file list but do not exit the dialog. 3. The filename suggestion gets replaced by the filename of the chosen file. OBSERVED RESULT The dialog interface doesn't seem to provide any way to recover the original suggested filename of the file that is being saved. In order to do so, the user then has either to copy the filename before interacting with the file browser or to cancel the operation and open the dialog again. EXPECTED RESULT I would have expected to find some visual functionality for recovering the original filename (e.g. an 'undo' icon in the left side of the text box, in a similar fashion to the backspace one which is already shown when editing the filename), or the original filename to be the first in the dropdown list, or even an option for this in the right-click context menu. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4 Qt Version: 5.11.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0 Kernel Version: 4.19.4-arch1-1-ARCH OS Type: 64-bit ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A possible worst-case scenario is when downloading a file from internet. In this case, there probably is no file in disk with a similar name they can recover the original filename from. If the user loses the original filename by mistake and they didn't copy it to clipboard, their only way to recover it is by closing the dialog and following the download link again -- and there are certain websites which will only provide a single chance to download the file. I am enclosing a video capture of a similar situation of user frustration. Because of a possible bug, the original filename is lost when changing directories and there is no way to get it back -- except pasting it from the clipboard if the user already knew it was going to happen, which was my case. Thank you very much. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 401921] Cursor is duplicated on Kodi 18 RC2 running natively under Wayland

There is nothing in the specification that forbids creating two wl_pointer objects. It is also not connected to the bug. On the other one it doesn't set a > cursor at all. Given that we should have no cursor - neither from Kodi nor > from KWin. This means that Kodi is also drawing it's own cursor. Yes. > But Kodi is not using the Wayland protocols for such an interaction. It > should use the > pointer constraints interface and lock the cursor and use the relative > pointer interface for motion when the cursor is locked. In Kodi, the cursor is part of the skin and cannot easily be put in its own surface. Anyway, both pointer-constraints and relative-pointer are not directly related to showing or not showing the cursor image. That is, using them would not solve the problem at hand, and I don't really see how they would benefit our use-case in the first place. > I'm setting this bug report to not a bug on our side. I don't see how you come to this conclusion. You said yourself: "Given that we should have no cursor - neither from Kodi nor from KWin" - so KWin should not draw a cursor in this case. Yet, it does, violating the Wayland protocol. I actually made a MWE, but it's even simpler. Try weston-confine. The cursor should disappear over the window, and it does so on GNOME and Weston. It stays visible on KWin. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
