It would be very nice if gwenview would wait to overwrite the screen until the new image is ready to be rendered, so the switch from one image to the next was instantaneous and flicker-free. Also nice: if gwenview could pre-buffer the next image whenever possible (whatever would be reached by the next right-arrow keystroke) so there was minimal delay when/if the key was pressed. If the user was last using the left-arrow to change images, gwenview could pre-buffer the previous image instead, etc. (I'm on 18.04.3, apologies if any of this has already been done.) I found I had to reselect the investment account in the "Select Account" dropdown in the investment window, ie: even though it was shown as the default selected when the investment window opens I had to click on the account again to select it for it to work. Also the error dialog is confusing, if you click details it shows no new information until you resize the window. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403156 --- Comment #6 from bren...@coupeware.com --- I was able to compile KMM5 on Fedora 28 before upgrading to F29. As I recall I had to setup a repository with one or more packages that were required to make it work. I will look to see if I can find the details but if you search for messages to and from me on the developer list you may find what you are looking for. Look for a thread with the subject "Problems Compiling KMM KF5". There may be others that are related in that time frame. If you have any OFX accounts mapped in KMM the mappings will be broken. You have to unmap and remap them. I have notes that suggest changing: provider="KMyMoney OFX" to provider="ofximporter" for every bank that is mapped may fix this problem. I know I tried it, i just don't remember if it worked or if I had to remap all of the accounts. [kmymoney] [Bug 403156] Cmake fails on Fedora 28 looking for LibAlkimia and Qt4 Core and DBus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403156 --- Comment #3 from Jack --- I vaguely recall having the same or similar problem during the switch from qt4 to qt5. My not so accurate memory tells me there is some "generic" command being used which uses either config files or environment variables to choose whether to use the actual qt4 or qt5 version of the tool. It's not "cmake" itself, but something it calls - or maybe just which version of some .cmake file it uses. I remember it being an unavoidable problem when having both qt4 and qt5 installed. Try setting "QT_SELECT=qt5 cmake " and see if that forces the right versions. Check the docs for qtchooser to see if it gives any useful hints. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 403149] Krita does not treat changes in merely layer names as valid modifications to a document
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403149 --- Comment #2 from Tyson Tan --- My argument would be: 1) why would anybody change the layer names if they don't want to save them? 2) it has real world usage when someone open a document just to change the layer names before they can present the source file to the next person who will be working on it. 3) The current state is just so confusing. [kwin] [Bug 389191] xwayland auto-upscaling causes pixelation and should be optional
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389191 --- Comment #18 from Eike Hein --- > I'm genuinely curious as to whether your machine is worse than mine or > whether it's subjective opinions on the same thing. We should test at Akademy. I guess we didn't get around to this :). But I guess I don't really see how it couldn't be terrible. It's a 1x window being scaled naively to 2x with no smoothing or so, i.e. straight up pixel-doubling, which makes everything look like Minecraft. Do you remember the bug Gwenview had for a long time with hidpi where its content view was heavily pixelated? Same thing ... I'm fine with pursuing the path of "get Firefox/Wayland working, and forget about XWayland" anyway, but I also can't begrudge anyone with a 4K screen not wanting to use Plasma/Wayland at the moment due to this. I think this problem will come up again with certain 2D games in the future however. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 403148] New: Cannot print in original size to paper printer

My printer is a Brother MFC9142CDN, CUPS wrapper, network printer. It always scales to the printable area. - LibreOffice 6.1.2.1 is able to print in original size. Yet I had to install the manufacturer's proprietary printer driver (with CUPS wrapper) to be able to get an originally sized output. - Other pdf viewers, e.g. evince, also fail. - Printing to a pdf file in KDE always works fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install a network printer. 2. Produce a document with a graphical object in LibreOffice, export as Pdf. 3. Print from LibreOffice (set original size output) and from PDF viewer, print to printer and to Pdf file, try modifying paper margins. Measure the graphical object's size on paper with a ruler, in the printed Pdf with a Pdf viewer that features a ruler (e.g. LibreOffice Draw). [plasmashell] [Bug 403145] "Move to desktop" submenu shows "%2(i18n_argument_missing)" entries under Wayland
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=403145 Eike Hein changed: What|Removed |Added CC||k...@davidedmundson.co.uk, ||notm...@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Eike Hein --- Problem may be server-side. Relevant code is in libtaskmanager/virtualdesktopinfo.cpp:329, `VirtualDesktopInfo::WaylandPrivate::desktopNames()`. >From what I can tell, the ids stored are correct and the `KWayland::Client::PlasmaVirtualDesktop` instances from the interface look good, except `PlasmaVirtualDesktop::name()` returns nothing. So the applet gets nothing in the end. Adding Marco and David who did the backend work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-knewstuff] [Bug 402888] ghns_exclude tagged items are not actually excluded
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402888 Dan Jensen changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |FIXED Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #7 from Dan Jensen --- This was fixed in https://phabricator.kde.org/R304:301fe73569ba9dbd1f80398fd616d8755accda15 Fix semantics for ghns_exclude After much discussion on the topic, it came to light that the specific grammar used for the default tag in KNSCore was incorrect, as it was an action verb (rather than an adjective the way the metadata tags are supposed to be). While this does mean that previous versions of Frameworks will not have the filtering functionality by default, it is otherwise non-invasive and causes no side effects apart from the server-suggested filtering working.
