--- Comment #1 from Andre Heinecke  ---
This is a very specialized requirement and it is probably better to use the
command line for that.

You always need at least a certify signature key to create the keybinding
signatures.

I'll treat it as a bug because the user interface should not offer something
that will result in a general error.

[krita] [Bug 404416] Sliders and Colour pickers with Pen in Windows 10

2019-02-24 Thread Carson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404416

--- Comment #13 from Carson  ---
(In reply to Raghavendra kamath from comment #12)
> This is clearly not a Krita issue, since Carson said that this is
> reproducible with other software as well, you should really follow this up
> with microsoft or QT(may be) for this, Please don't re-open the issue unless
> it is specifically a bug in Krita.

I do agree that these issues with Krita, as well as other software is to do
with how Microsoft has implemented their pen support for tablets. However it
seems that this is just the way it's going to be and software has to adapt to
how it is now.

If you take a look at the videos I posted in Comment 9, you will see in Krita
that the Pop Up Palette UI is working as intended. If that can work, why not
all the other UI elements in Krita? This is an issue in how Krita uses touch
gestures in Windows 10. Not how Microsoft has implemented their tablet support.

Yes, there are many examples of this issue in other software, but there are
also many examples of it working as intended. Operating Systems change,
software has to change with it.

I will no longer reopen this bug if you do not wish to investigate this issue
further and yes, I will continue to ask Microsoft to revert or fix the changes
in their tablet support.

I'm no longer able to reproduce this in Plasma 5.14.5, 5.15.2, or git master on
KDE Neon, Kubuntu, or Manjaro, when using the very same hardware.

Can anyone still reproduce this when using a relatively recent Plasma version?

This is clearly not a Krita issue, since Carson said that this is reproducible
with other software as well, you should really follow this up with microsoft or
QT(may be) for this, Please don't re-open the issue unless it is specifically a
bug in Krita.

Nope. I have many times reboot my system and when I go to this options - all
was off. This behavior is confusing. It seems to me that "Configure keyboard
options" check must be enabled if under that has some enables options.

[gwenview] [Bug 404794] New: Gwenview crashes when opening a very specific picture

2019-02-24 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404794

Bug ID: 404794
   Summary: Gwenview crashes when opening a very specific picture
   Product: gwenview
   Version: 18.12.2
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: acc12345...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 118345
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118345=edit
subject.

SUMMARY
Here I am attaching a TIFF picture, which when opened using Gwenview (and
sometimes also happens when just rendering its thumbnail) will crash the
program.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the attachment.

OBSERVED RESULT
With a 40% chance:
```
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
```
otherwise with a 10% chance:
```
free(): invalid pointer
Aborted (core dumped)
```
otherwise the image will open and look corrupted and cropped off, but moving
will result in the following:
```
gwenview: malloc.c:4009: _int_malloc: Assertion `(unsigned long) (size) >=
(unsigned long) (nb)' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)
```

EXPECTED RESULT
No crashes and proper image (Krita works, eog displays nothing but does not
crash).

[krita] [Bug 368849] [WACOM] Krita does not react to Wacom Penabled tabletPC stylus's Top Barrel Button/2nd Switch mouse event on canvas

2019-02-24 Thread Tyson Tan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368849

--- Comment #5 from Tyson Tan  ---
I have some information to add too, and not a good news.

On newer Surface models (maybe SP3 and newer) and most convertibles that uses
Wacom AES pen technology, the pen barrel buttons can't be mapped to both middle
click and right click. Under Windows you can only map the barrel buttons to
right click. Under Linux you can assign the upper button to anything, but the
lower button is locked as eraser mode trigger. I believe Wacom purposefully did
this to most Wacom AES digitizers they supplies to 3rd party manufacturers for
non-tablet portable PCs. The device's API is so over enigmatized there is no
way a person outside of Wacom can figure out how to customize the thing. I have
a Lenovo Yoga 730 that has exactly this problem and I can confirm that every
convertible (Dell, HP) I tested with a similar design that share pens, all of
them behaves the same. Only Lenovo Miix 520 can do the mapping properly (but it
is not an ideal competitor to MSP13 due to short battery life and small
screen). Thus Krita is having difficulty promoting itself to the users of most
Surface like owners.

So this bug is better off become a request of 2 new features:

1) Allow Krita to accept mouse click events while the stylus is in range. In
this way we can use a mouse/touchpad/trackball to recreate middle/right click.
Right now, I must lift up the stylus before Krita would accept any mouse
events.

2) The ability for Krita to map a stylus's eraser to something else, or just to
emulate right click or middle click.

[krita] [Bug 404416] Sliders and Colour pickers with Pen in Windows 10

2019-02-24 Thread Carson
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404416

--- Comment #11 from Carson  ---
Yes, this issue does crop up in multiple pieces of software using Windows 10,
but there are also many UI elements that work as expected in Windows 10 (just
as the example video I posted in "Comment 9" with different UI elements in
Krita, one works as expected and one doesn't.)

I think this is just how Microsoft wants the pen to work, and it is up to the
software developers to make things work like they did before.

Until Microsoft says otherwise or "fixes" their implementation of how the pen
works, I guess that's just the way it will be going forward.

In addition, I've checked (running htop on a separate console on CTRL+ALT+F1)
that /usr/bin/plasmashell is running at 100% CPU during those 15 seconds after
I click logout.

I tried to quit everything on the tray bar, to disable the compositor at

This is a wishlist item to avoid unintentional batch deleting of mails.

I configured the expiration of some IMAP folders in KMail2 for the first time.
There are two options:

1) Move expired message to …
2) Delete expired messages permanently (default)

If the user (me) forgets to configure a folder for (1) and presses directly on
the button "save settings and expire", than messages are permanently lost.

Henceforth, I suggest to add a security question dialogue popping up when (2)
is still selected, asking if one really has the intention to delete mails
permanently.

Unfortunately you cant install old wacom driver on win10 so the only way to
avoid this bug is to use win8.1.
Carson can you reproduce this bug and use pen in Blender? Try to navigate,
move/rotate/zoom. Its probably same issue, unfortunately i was not able to find
a way to get rid of this problem. ;/

  Priority: NOR
 Component: Application Menu (Kicker)
  Assignee: h...@kde.org

SUMMARY
On ArchLinux, changes to system desktop files are automatically rebuilt after
each update by pacman. However, it is a little more difficult to change user
desktop files.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make changes to user desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications

OBSERVED RESULT
Changes are not reflected in Kicker

EXPECTED RESULT
There should be a user visible way to refresh the entries. I know about
kbuildsycoca5 after a web search, but I think from a usability perspective,
there should be a graphical way to refresh the desktop files, maybe in the
context menu or in the Menu editor.

This is a known limitation of the current implementation of the Google Contacts

There's work in progress on replacing the current KAddressbook model with

Thats pretty old bug but i can actually confirm that still exists. Thing is
that you can open this popup menu but you have to right click outside of canvas
( i click on top bar, not sure what the name of this is but you will get
Toolbox, Tool Options, Grid and Guides, Palette etc. menu. With this menu
opened just click top pen button when mouse cursor is in range of Canvas. It

Have you enabled the option: General->Run all konsole windows in a single
process
?

You might want to try that. If Konsole is not running in a single process it is
not possible to move the tabs between two Konsole windows that have been
launched separately because Konsole doesn't use the Qt Drag and Drop (only
"fake" (changing the cursor shape and moving QWidgets internally) drag and
drop)

I assume the issue at hand to be Qt w/o 1.3 support running into an 1.3
supporting openssl unprepared and would suggest to stick to 465 until 5.13 hits
ground, ensure that it's supposed to support TLS 1.3 and try again.

--- Comment #32 from Tommi Nieminen  ---
I have to agree with the above commentors: it’s absolutely vital to be able to
search partial filenames. Maybe it’s not so important in English where
compounds are written with spaces (thus permitting word-initial searches to
succeed) but for, say, Finnish, Swedish, German, or Russian it means you cannot
find files with the equivalent for “test” *somewhere* in the name, only if it’s
right at the beginning.

This is not to say I cannot appreciate the difficulties in its implementation!

[trojita] [Bug 404211] Ssl issue when sending email with (gmail) imap

2019-02-24 Thread Thomas Lübking
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404211

--- Comment #8 from Thomas Lübking  ---
465 *is* SSL, you'll not use STARTTLS on it (no idea about the trojitá config
GUI suggesting something different?)
So this is a TLS version conflict (and 1.3 mess), can one see your distros
downstream patches to Qt? (Afaik TLS v1.3 support should only appear w/ Qt
5.13)

[plasma-browser-integration] [Bug 404182] Allow download notification to be drag and dropped

2019-02-24 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404182

--- Comment #2 from magnus.gros...@gmail.com ---
I would love to write the code for this myself as my first contribution to KDE,
but I could need some advice on how to do it in the best way.

I have implemented pretty much the same feature for flameshot, which was pretty
straight forward, as you just have to set the x-kde-urls field:
https://github.com/lupoDharkael/flameshot/pull/473

But I am not really sure about the best way here, as it seems like the KJob
subclass automatically generates the notification on finishing and I do not see
a straight forward way to inject the x-kde-urls field somewhere.

[yakuake] [Bug 401982] One Wayland login cripples Yakuake in X11 forever

2019-02-24 Thread Patrick Silva
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401982

--- Comment #3 from Patrick Silva  ---
My display is 1080p, I configured scaling factor as 1.5 anyway.
I rebooted, X11 session was started automatically (autologin).
I did logout, started Wayland session, did logout again, started X11 session
again. Yakuake 3.0.5 looks fine here.

Ah, just tested TLS port 465 for smtp and it worked fine !
Which is weird, google support page say 465 if for ssl.
See https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7126229?hl=en
So I guess my configuration was not wrong using TLS/587.

Of course, working with folders with 215k files is crazy -- but this is not a
bug in Krita, since the file dialog is provided by Qt or your desktop
environment. Check whether enabling or disabling native file dialogs makes a
difference; check whether changing to a different desktop environment makes a
difference.

Oh, and update to a recent version of Krita 4.0.1 is ancient history.
