[systemsettings] [Bug 405023] New: systemsettings crashes when double clicking an item in icon view

2019-03-02 Thread Jaak Ristioja
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405023

Bug ID: 405023
Summary: systemsettings crashes when double clicking an item in
icon view
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.15.2
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: j...@ristioja.ee
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: systemsettings5 (5.15.2)
 (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 5.12.1
Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Operating System: Linux 4.20.13-gentoo x86_64
Distribution: "Gentoo Base System release 2.6"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I think I upgraded qt/kde/plasma before a reboot.

1) Started "systemsettings5"
2) Double clicked on "Workspace theme" or "Desktop Behavior"

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

Desktop wallpaper was missing on login, and when I right-clicked the desktop
and chose "Configure Desktop", a window titled "Desktop Settings - Plasma" with
literally no contents appears, only a border/frame. So that when something
behind that window redraws itself, e.g. when I'm typing this text, it also
appears within the border, i.e. the window is completely transparent.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Then I was a little too quick with my confirmation. My problem seems to be
different.

That xslt file is the only one I can find currently as example which is still
almost unreadable (at least that blue), because I didn't need it. All other
file types I had changed by that config page.
Beside that dummy entry was my config section empty.

[kfind] [Bug 405022] New: KFind does not offer DELETE in right-click menu - only 'Move to Wastebin'

2019-03-02 Thread Derek
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405022

Bug ID: 405022
Summary: KFind does not offer DELETE in right-click menu - only
'Move to Wastebin'
   Product: kfind
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: derek...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
KFind does not offer DELETE - only 'Move to Wastebin'. I have been searching
for and deleting files off my NAS, but because KFind doesn't offer the option
to delete, i have to instead 'open file location' and delete it that way.
Alternatively, wait much longer to 'move' GB-sized files to the wastebin.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Search/find a file.
2. Right-click
3. No option to delete.
4. hold Shift - still no option to delete.

OBSERVED RESULT
No right-click+shift option to delete

EXPECTED RESULT
I would expect to see the same offering as Dolphin (right-click+shift).

[Discover] [Bug 405020] New: Checking for updates delays software install and password prompt...

2019-03-02 Thread Eric Malamisura
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405020

Bug ID: 405020
Summary: Checking for updates delays software install and
password prompt...
   Product: Discover
   Version: 5.15.2
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: discover
  Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk
  Reporter: eric.malamis...@gmail.com
CC: aleix...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When installing software from a .deb package for example, and Discover is
completely fresh and closed when it opens the Install button is enabled and
available to click. When you click it however it does nothing. At first glance
it's difficult to understand what's going on, after some investigation I have
figured out that if Discover is Checking for Updates clicking Install does
nothing as it gets queued up but there is no indication.

Additionally, since it needs administrative access it doesn't ask for your
password until Check Updates is finished either. If you click Install multiple
times, it will break it and you may never see the password prompt ever again
until you terminate the process.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install .deb package while Discover is cold and closed and in a state that
will force it to run a check for updates on startup.
2. Discover will be busy checking for updates, while it is, click "Install"
3. No action occurs, password prompt is delayed until Check Updates is done.

OBSERVED RESULT
No action occurs.

EXPECTED RESULT
Immediately ask for password so the app install can done in the background as
normal after check updates is done. Disable Install button while its queued up
for install.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 405017] New: baloo_file_extractor crash, in Exiv2::DataValue::toLong in kfilemetadata_exiv2extractor

2019-03-02 Thread skierpage
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405017

Bug ID: 405017
   Summary: baloo_file_extractor crash, in
Exiv2::DataValue::toLong in
kfilemetadata_exiv2extractor
   Product: frameworks-baloo
   Version: 5.54.0
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Baloo File Daemon
  Assignee: baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I dragged some files from my camera onto my drive, and the Crash Reporting
Assistant popped up to report that baloo_file_extractor had crashed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Drag a bunch of files from camera via MTP to indexed drive.

OBSERVED RESULT
Crash Reporting Assistant popped up. After installing debuginfo (and fixing
https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports#Fedora
), the crash report indicates the crash is in kfilemetadata_exiv2extractor:

#6 0x7f09a8cb253f in raise () from /lib64/libc.so.6

#12 0x7f0998615529 in ?? () from
/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kf5/kfilemetadata/kfilemetadata_exiv2extractor.so

Unfortunately, the Baloo file indexing machinery gives no indication what file
it's working on when there's a crash.

EXPECTED RESULT
No crash

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Qt Version: 5.11.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I know the 59 files that I dragged in that seemed to trigger this crash. Is
there some way to run baloo_file_extractor on each, one by one? (I couldn't
find any documentation for this program.) If I run `balooctl index `
for each one, it mostly reports "Already scheduled for indexing".

[latte-dock] [Bug 405016] New: Dock stays visible when moving mouse in and our quickly

2019-03-02 Thread Ben Daines
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405016

Bug ID: 405016
Summary: Dock stays visible when moving mouse in and our
quickly
   Product: latte-dock
   Version: 0.8.5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: plasmoid
  Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com

  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 118495
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118495=edit
Latte layout attached, in case that helps(?)

SUMMARY
I've noticed that quite frequently, but inconsistently latte will stay visible
when set to auto-hide when moving the mouse in & out quickly when set to auto
hide. This will also happen with the hover-to-preview window preview open.
Unfortunately, as it isn't very consistent behavior, I can't give you very
useful steps to reproduce. However, it happens a lot. I'm sure if you were to
set your dock to auto hide the behavior would exhibit itself at least once.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have latte set to auto hide
2. Complete an action quickly (seems like you need to actually do something,
ie. launch something or do something via contextual menu).
3. Be frustrated at lack of polish.

OBSERVED RESULT
Dock stays visible, sometimes zoomed as if the cursor was hovering over an
item, or even with a window preview open.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dock should hide when cursor is not "in" it at all times, unless a contextual
menu is open.

[frameworks-khtml] [Bug 405011] New: KHTMLView::print() could not share printer instance

2019-03-02 Thread Ralf Habacker
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405011

Bug ID: 405011
Summary: KHTMLView::print() could not share printer instance
   Product: frameworks-khtml

Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: martin.sandsm...@kde.org
  Reporter: ralf.habac...@freenet.de
CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

For applications that use other KHTMLView, it is not possible with the current
implementation of KHTMLView::print() to support common print settings within an
application, since a separate QPainter instance is used internally (see
https://api.kde.org/frameworks/khtml/html/khtmlview_8cpp_source.html#l#l03128).

OBSERVED RESULT
When printing KHTMLView based pages, it is necessary to make necessary
adjustments before each printout, which is not user friendly.

EXPECTED RESULT
Print settings should only need to be changed once in an application, even when
multiple prints are used.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
All platforms

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
KHTMLView::print() would have to be extended to use a predefined QPrinter
instance.

Notification badge for zero notifications

I think the notification badge on the app icon showing a zero when there aren't
any notifications is pretty pointless, it shouldn't be there at all.

When seeing this badge, one automatically assumes there are notifications,
until realizing there's a zero inside of it, which creates unnecessary stress.

I applied your patch and the Presence starts to work but it seems that there is
some race-condition so if I switch to online and quickly go back to offline
before a Connection Manager connected then it has some chance to report "I'm
connected" before it was told to stop trying.

Would you mind to submit the fix? This patch is a definitely the right thing to
do even if the issue still reproducible.

There is no other way to fix it and I'm hitting the issue on my own so I would
like to have your fix in 18.12.3 and we have literally one day to do that as
the release tag will be made at the Monday.
If you can't submit the patch today then I would like to commit it with you as
the author and me as a committer.

The behaviour described in the first comment is indeed what you see. On my
system (Fedora 29, Plasma 5.14.5, Ark 18.4.3) I created a text file, archived
it as a .tar.gz with Ark, then used "Open with..." in Ark to edit it in Kate,
Increased the file size by duplicating the text and then saved it. Ark asked
twice to confirm overwrite of the file in the archive. See attached screen

[konsole] [Bug 391781] Add support for SIXEL in Konsole

2019-03-02 Thread Klaus Frank
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391781

I do not think adding this feature is too much.
As xterm already supports it and it has only one MB total in installed package
size. I think adding this is very useful, it allows building console
applications that can handle captures without relying on the xserver and also
works over ssh.

It is intended that the font has a different size. However, it should be
smaller than the standard font (small). Apparently, the small font is set very
large in their system. I'll change it by following the default font and using
one or two sizes smaller.

I think my prior comment explains my thoughts fairly well, I just want to add
that current behavior is slightly inconsistent depending on the state of the
window on another desktop. If it is already open, then trying to open the task
on a different desktop moves you over to the desktop it was originally on

[marble] [Bug 405006] New: Crash when browsing Vector OSM

2019-03-02 Thread Alex Dănilă
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405006

Bug ID: 405006
Summary: Crash when browsing Vector OSM
   Product: marble
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: marble-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: nuor...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Application: marble (2.2.20 (2.3 development version))

Qt Version: 5.11.3
Frameworks Version: 5.54.0
Operating System: Linux 4.19.0-2-amd64 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux buster/sid

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Switched to Vector OSM from OpenTopoMap and dragged the map a couple of time.
The crash seemed to have happened during filling with data.

I don't know if this is relevant, but there where a couple of „measure points”
set on the map (a few tens).

Reproducibility:
Crashes seem to happen sometimes (rarely )when using the vector OSM, and I
don't remember having crashes recently with the bitmap maps.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

2019-03-02 Thread bugzilla_noreply

--- Comment #6 from dieter.de.moi...@gmail.com ---
Krita only crashes when the colorize mask layer is selected when selecting the
transform tool.
If the vector layer is selected, it doesn't crash. However, only the vector
layer will be transformed and never the colorize mask.

[digikam] [Bug 404999] New: Inconsistency in facetag font size

2019-03-02 Thread Ruan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404999

Bug ID: 404999
Summary: Inconsistency in facetag font size
   Product: digikam
   Version: 6.0.0
  Platform: Appimage
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Faces-Workflow
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: ruan...@live.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 118489
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118489=edit
normal menu font vs facetag font

SUMMARY

The facetag font seems to be inconsistent with the rest of digikam fonts (in
style and size). The facetag font that I'm refering to is the one used in the
text with the person's name in a photo, also the same used in
unconfirmed/unknown to type the person's name.

The same inconsistency happens in the right-click context menu when clicking
inside the textbox.

I'm including some images showing the inconsistency visually in a imgur album (
https://imgur.com/a/qlrRkrG ), meanwhile the fonts all around my digikam are
set to Sans 8 or Sans 9, the facetag font seems to be Sans 12.
