[Discover] [Bug 405020] New: Checking for updates delays software install and password prompt...
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405020 Bug ID: 405020 Summary: Checking for updates delays software install and password prompt... Product: Discover Version: 5.15.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk Reporter: eric.malamis...@gmail.com CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When installing software from a .deb package for example, and Discover is completely fresh and closed when it opens the Install button is enabled and available to click. When you click it however it does nothing. At first glance it's difficult to understand what's going on, after some investigation I have figured out that if Discover is Checking for Updates clicking Install does nothing as it gets queued up but there is no indication. Additionally, since it needs administrative access it doesn't ask for your password until Check Updates is finished either. If you click Install multiple times, it will break it and you may never see the password prompt ever again until you terminate the process. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install .deb package while Discover is cold and closed and in a state that will force it to run a check for updates on startup. 2. Discover will be busy checking for updates, while it is, click "Install" 3. No action occurs, password prompt is delayed until Check Updates is done. OBSERVED RESULT No action occurs. EXPECTED RESULT Immediately ask for password so the app install can done in the background as normal after check updates is done. Disable Install button while its queued up for install. [latte-dock] [Bug 405016] New: Dock stays visible when moving mouse in and our quickly
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405016 Bug ID: 405016 Summary: Dock stays visible when moving mouse in and our quickly Product: latte-dock Version: 0.8.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: plasmoid Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: benjamindai...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 118495 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118495=edit Latte layout attached, in case that helps(?) SUMMARY I've noticed that quite frequently, but inconsistently latte will stay visible when set to auto-hide when moving the mouse in & out quickly when set to auto hide. This will also happen with the hover-to-preview window preview open. Unfortunately, as it isn't very consistent behavior, I can't give you very useful steps to reproduce. However, it happens a lot. I'm sure if you were to set your dock to auto hide the behavior would exhibit itself at least once. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have latte set to auto hide 2. Complete an action quickly (seems like you need to actually do something, ie. launch something or do something via contextual menu). 3. Be frustrated at lack of polish. OBSERVED RESULT Dock stays visible, sometimes zoomed as if the cursor was hovering over an item, or even with a window preview open. EXPECTED RESULT Dock should hide when cursor is not "in" it at all times, unless a contextual menu is open. I applied your patch and the Presence starts to work but it seems that there is some race-condition so if I switch to online and quickly go back to offline before a Connection Manager connected then it has some chance to report "I'm connected" before it was told to stop trying. Would you mind to submit the fix? This patch is a definitely the right thing to do even if the issue still reproducible. [digikam] [Bug 404999] New: Inconsistency in facetag font size
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404999 Bug ID: 404999 Summary: Inconsistency in facetag font size Product: digikam Version: 6.0.0 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Faces-Workflow Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ruan...@live.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 118489 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=118489=edit normal menu font vs facetag font SUMMARY The facetag font seems to be inconsistent with the rest of digikam fonts (in style and size). The facetag font that I'm refering to is the one used in the text with the person's name in a photo, also the same used in unconfirmed/unknown to type the person's name. The same inconsistency happens in the right-click context menu when clicking inside the textbox. I'm including some images showing the inconsistency visually in a imgur album ( https://imgur.com/a/qlrRkrG ), meanwhile the fonts all around my digikam are set to Sans 8 or Sans 9, the facetag font seems to be Sans 12. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
