https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406551 Bug ID: 406551 Summary: Kbackup's custom 'maximum archive size' is limited to 4096 megabytes Product: kbackup Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kol...@aon.at Reporter: dequ...@mykolab.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY: When making a backup profile for backing up files to removable media (i.e. USB), I want to select slightly less than the size of my USB drive - say 11,000 MB for a 12 GB USB drive. I can not do this, however, since Kbackup will only allow a maximum of 4,096 MB to be entered. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make a new backup profile 2. Select the 'maximum archive size' field and attempt to enter a practical value for today's storage mediums and sizes, say 12,000 MB OBSERVED RESULT The selector will only allow a maximum of 4,096 MB EXPECTED RESULT Kbackup should allow any custom size the user could want, since media comes in many sizes today. Also, since 'unlimited is a viable - albeit perhaps dangerous - choice, then allowing the user to select a size that best matches their hardware and situation would seem practical. [skrooge] [Bug 406549] New: Edit menu in Skrooge handbook is missing Skip, adds Find; missing context menu documentation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406549 Bug ID: 406549 Summary: Edit menu in Skrooge handbook is missing Skip, adds Find; missing context menu documentation Product: skrooge Version: 2.19.0 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: guillaume.deb...@gmail.com Reporter: skierp...@gmail.com CC: steph...@mankowski.fr Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The handbook is out of sync with the Edit menu. Also there doesn't seem to be documentation of the context menu when you right-click an operation. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Visit https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-office/skrooge/using-skrooge-beginner.html#menu-edit 2. In Skrooge select an operation then click the Edit menu 3. Right-click the operation OBSERVED RESULT The actual Skrooge menu has a Skip menu entry, and does not have a Find menu item. The context menu when you right-click an operation does not seem to be documented. It *does* have a Find... entry , it has a Copy entry (which I would expect to be in the Edit menu as well), it also has several Open operations/Open operations with/Open sub operations with/Open report... items that are in the Go menu, and a Switch validation of imported operations menu item. EXPECTED RESULT Remove Find from the docs (or change the Edit menu) Document Skip Add a section documenting the context menu, or at least that "The right-click context menu for an operation combines menu entries from the Edit and Go menus." together with any differences. I think Switch validation of imported operations isn't documented anywhere. Consider organizing the Edit menu and the context menu to be more consistent, the order of menu entries is different. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0 Qt Version: 5.11.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION View > Panels is undocumented. [plasmashell] [Bug 381656] No "audio being played" indicator for many icon sizes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381656 Neousr changed: What|Removed |Added CC||neo...@protonmail.com --- Comment #7 from Neousr --- Bug 380390 is probably a duplicate. >From i can gather resizing the panel on horizontal needs a specific height to show the indicator (18,28,52) on a 1080p monitor at-least. On the vertical panel the width needs to get to 60 and then the indicator will show, the longer the panel is pulled away the farther the indicator gets of the actual app icon. For example stretching the panel to 84 or more will show how the indicator misbehaves. It seems that compared to the task manager the only icon option doesn't seem to have the indicator bounded to a certain position in this case the end of the application. For example the vertical can stretch to 960 and the horizontal to 458 i will argue than after 150 stops being usable. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I must > say I am not really fan of inventing the wheel again here, maybe using > existing fuse technology like sshfs is a better choice, or gvfs. You're lucky. Most of the time my kio powered transfers just die. Single small files are fine. If I copy anything large, like an entire folder, or an iso, over ssh or smb, it almost always just dies. I gave up on it. I just use nemo file manager for anything to do with remote FS. It's too frustrating. I know there are other features concerning KIO slaves that people don't want to give up, when you cant do file operations with a file manager, that's kind of a moot point. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

For others reading this topic: latte settings on the panel->Behaviour Tab-> mark the setting box "Drag and maximize/restore active window" OK, so this was a false alarm, double-clicking works correctly now on the new build, only that setting was somehow altered during the update or maybe in the older version it worked regardless and now it behaves as it should? Should I write code to use it? This support currently require building Elisa with libvlc. It is more work to not use libvlc API. It should do that automatically. At least for the first detected one. I first noticed it with the flatpak of elisa, https://github.com/flathub/org.kde.elisa/issues/6 but I also tested with a minimal qml file using qmlscene and it also lacked window decorations My minimal qml file import QtQuick 2.0 import org.kde.plasma.components 2.0 as PlasmaComponents Text { id: helloText color: "#0ff" text: "hello" } I launched the flatpak with "flatpak --devel run --command=bash org.kde.elisa" And run in the flatpak with "qmlscene hello.qml" or "qmlscene -platform wayland hello.qml" I have no window decorations. Using -platform xcb in the container works. And -platform wayland works outside the container (Debian Testing) If I downgrade elisa to a version using the 5.11 flatpack the I do get window decorations even when using -platform wayland. I would like window decorations to be available. In fact, one of both is needed. Currently, they are not set as required but the documentation (README.packagers) says that libvlc is recommended and needed to play music. Qt Multimedia is the historical solution and kept for cases where libvlc might be a problem. A solution to your problem could be to add special logic to keep them not required but if both are not found change the result to still report an error. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 395891] New option in crop tool: crop only a current frame
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395891 --- Comment #4 from Tymond --- I was thinking about it as a wish: I would like to have both options, not only one (no matter which one it is). For example, cropping the layer as a whole could help if you want to get rid of the content outside of the canvas (there is never too much of RAM in animation), or if you want to cut something out from every frame on the layer. It's already implemented, so unless you can't easily have both options, removing it doesn't make sense. [dolphin] [Bug 406538] New: Feature Requests for a more intuitive user experience

It is people like you who make it possible for someone like me, to finally get rid of proprietary systems and corporations - in my case, switching from Windows to Manjaro Linux and KDE. Thank you! But, not all is evil in the Windows world and there are some cases, in which we can learn from. I noticed a couple of possible improvements, which will certainly lead to an even better, more intuitive user experience. My feature requests are: 1) When using multible tabs, the text-align of the folders name is left. This is sth the windows explorer does better. With large folder structes, the left-aligned text shows the root of the tabs folder, it obscures the name of the folder, the user is currently looking at. The text aligment should be right. Example: /home/user/documents/private/finances/2019 becomes /home/user/documents/private/... instead if .../documents/private/finances/2019 2) It is not possible to detach or attach tabs via drag and drop. This is a quite common feature for all tab enviroments, e.g. Firefox or other file managers. This feature would highly increase the workflow. 3) This is the best feature I ever found in a filemanager: Incremental inline search. I stumbled across this in an addon called qttabs for windows explorer. What it does is primarily searching for a filename, while typing it. But not restricted to the beginning of the file. Example: kwalletmanager.ending. If the user types "wallet" or "walletmanager" it will not be found. Incremental inline search would be a feature, that would skyrocket usability. Of course, it must be restricted to folders with less than (n) number of files for performance reasons, but still, this feature became a must have for me and I severely miss it, now that I switched to KDE. 4) A simple, but undescribebly useful workflow function: Go one level up, when double clicking on white space within a folder. This also comes from qttabs for windows explorer and it increased my workflow tremendously. That is all from side :) Again, thank you very much for your hard efforts! With regards Julius R. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kunitconversion] [Bug 378967] Fuel consumption conversion incorrect
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378967 Albert Astals Cid changed: What|Removed |Added Latest Commit||https://commits.kde.org/kun ||itconversion/bc7495095baa7a ||70e756c4d2044de2197d1a4e3b Resolution|--- |FIXED Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #6 from Albert Astals Cid --- Git commit bc7495095baa7a70e756c4d2044de2197d1a4e3b by Albert Astals Cid, on behalf of Michal Malý. Committed on 14/04/2019 at 15:59. Pushed by aacid into branch 'master'. Fix l/100 km to MPG conversion Summary: Previous code (probably) worked only for l/100 km -> MPG but not the other way around. Fix this by using reciprocal conversion when necessary. Output: 38.7 MPG -> 6.077 l/100 km; 16.455 km/l; 46.482 MPGI 16.455 km/l -> 6.077 l/100 km; 38.7 MPG 46.48 MPGI -> 6.077 l/100 km Seems good to me. [kwin] [Bug 406526] Request: Removal of destructive window shortcuts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406526 --- Comment #9 from plane.wan...@gmail.com --- (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #8) > That's not what I meant, I meant if you've observed users accidentally > closing windows this way I don't think my answer to that question should matter given that I could easily lie and there would be no way to prove me wrong. But for the sake of the argument I'll say: Yes, I observed it many times that users lost some data this way. Imho the important question is if the arguments make sense and given that those same arguments were used to remove similar features in KWin before I thought that they indeed do make sense to the project's goals. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
