[kalarm] [Bug 405313] kalarm freezes in gnome
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405313 --- Comment #22 from David Jarvie --- If you kill kalarm first, does it freeze again after restarting it and trying to do step 1? One thing which might possibly help to stop KAlarm freezing would be to delete its Akonadi data (which is separate from the alarm calendar data, so you won't lose any KAlarm data). The easy way to do this is to delete ALL Akonadi data - but beware that this will also delete some KMail, KOrganizer and possibly other KDE PIM applications' data, so it is not a good idea if you use any of them as well. If you really want to delete all Akonadi data, use the command 'rm -rf ~/.local/share/akonadi' If you don't want to delete all Akonadi data, proceed as follows: 1. Run "akonadiconsole" and look in the displayed list for all resources identified by the KAlarm icon. 2. For each KAlarm resource, double click on it to display its configuration, and note the File name, Display name and Alarm types shown for it. Close the configuration dialog, and then use the Remove button to remove the resource. Note that this does not delete the calendar file containing your alarms - it just removes KAlarm's reference to it. 3. Once you have removed all KAlarm resources, reinstate them. For each resource you have removed, click the Add button, select "KAlarm Calendar File" in the list of resource types, and in the configuration dialog enter the configuration details which you noted down for that resource in step 2. 4. You can now close akonadiconsole. 5. Test to see if KAlarm will now run without freezing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Akonadi] [Bug 409509] New: FEATURE REQUEST: Easily backup/export all pim data (kontact, kmail, calendar, contacts, etc.) for import/restoration on another PC (or a restored PC).
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409509 Bug ID: 409509 Summary: FEATURE REQUEST: Easily backup/export all pim data (kontact, kmail, calendar, contacts, etc.) for import/restoration on another PC (or a restored PC). Product: Akonadi Version: 5.11.2 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: jesse.dub...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I initially submitted this bug to Kontact (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409293), but the corresponding developer said what I was suggesting couldn't be implemented because akonadi couldn't do it. I would like to request for a feature to easily back up all pim data to a single file and re-imoort that data on a new install of Kontact, without needing to specify the folders of where each email folder should be placed. As of right now the Kmail pin exporter tool exports settings, but when it re-imports them to another PC, the user has to specify where they would like each folder to go. This is undesirable as the greatest benefit, imo, to an export-import tool is the ability to easily and simply back up the way your email/PIM client is set up, then to simply re-imoort that and have the target PC's set-up become exactly what the source is like. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. A simple interface that can choose a folder to export the data to. 2. Data gets put into a single compressed file. 3. An import tool that would make the target PIM client (Kontact) be configured and set up exactly like the source was. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 409508] New: Permit to change the text's color or improve the invert colors option to respect images
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409508 Bug ID: 409508 Summary: Permit to change the text's color or improve the invert colors option to respect images Product: okular Version: 1.7.2 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: inf...@openaliasbox.org Target Milestone: --- Okular has a few nice accesibility options to let the user change the background color for the documents if these are really text documents, not just scanned images. This is almost a must if one uses to read for long times in dark environments and loves his retinas: you set the document's background in a comfortable semidark color and you are almost dome. But I say "almost" because the ideal would be to have an almost black background, but you can't because Okular doesn't permit to change the text color, so you would end with a very dark background and black text, which is illegible. So, finally you use the "minor evil", not the optimal solution. Theres an option to invert the colors for all the document, but this includes the images, something rather annoying; the read is nice but then you see the images in negative and something creaks in your brain. So, my suggestions are to add the option to change the text color, my favorite, since this would give the option of configuring the look very granularly and make happy evry user out there; or add the possibility of excluding the images in the «Invert colors» option. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 04/07/2019 at 21:02. Pushed by gottfried into branch 'master'. Merge Branch 'homescreen-ng' This replaces the home screen to solve KTouch's most egrigous problem: content discovery. Previously, KTouch displayed only the courses for the the currently active keyboard layout. If KTouch has no course for this layout, the windows was basically empty showing only the option to create a new custom lesson. Being forced to set up first the correct keyboad layout for your computer has proven to be unintuitive. The new home screen shows all available training content at a glance. Improvements in more detail: * There is a new sidebar allowing the user to select from all available keyboard layouts with their associated courses. Users still have to set up the correct layout matching the selected course, though, and they are told how to do so with an passive notification. This must be done in every thread. At present, students are working on improving the face engine. In order not to hinder their work on the code, I will apply the patch later. Now I reread the OP's message I'm not sure if he was talking about the same I was. I don't inderstand well what Luis Silva meant with "provide maps". Perhaps he talked about launching Marble from KAB, which is exactly what I don't want. I just want that KAB takes a screenshot of the area where the address in question is and shows it in the contacts' details column. If you think I should post this in a different bug, please, just tell me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

A small screenshot of Marble's maps for the addresses, shown in the contacts' details view, would be quite practical, like those when you share a location via your mobile, but on a computer screen the size and area could be bigger. [kwin] [Bug 409500] New: Multiple second delay between Alt + Tab key press and actual switching of windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409500 Bug ID: 409500 Summary: Multiple second delay between Alt + Tab key press and actual switching of windows Product: kwin Version: 5.15.5 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: tabbox Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bradfor...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 121324 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121324=edit Screen recording of the issue SUMMARY Attempting to Alt + Tab between windows results in a delay of multiple seconds until the window changes. During this "delay" it is not possible to select any other applications from the task bar. It seems as though the system is frozen (accept for mouse movement) until it catches up. This issue just started happening in the past week after upgrading to kwin 5.15.5-2 from 5.15.5-1 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open GoLand, Google Chrome, and About System 2. Confirm window switching by clicking task bar 3. Press Alt + Tab 4. Wait, wiggle mouse, pass time OBSERVED RESULT System appears to freeze except mouse still functions EXPECTED RESULT Windows change SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 30 KDE Spin (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.15.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.59.0 Qt Version: 5.12.4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This may be related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405103 from my searching, but I don't know enough to be certain. This bug appears to trigger on all windows not just the Goland editor. I've attached a screen recording of the issue. Alt + Tab is pressed at the 9 second mark and the window switching completes at 29 seconds. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148454 Robert Killingsworth changed: What|Removed |Added CC||goobers...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Robert Killingsworth --- Same problem on Arch. I delete a file on any of my NTFS partitions and it moves it to the trash folder in my home folder. Takes forever and wastes space. Should create a .Trash or .Trash- on the drive it's deleting on and move it there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krunner] [Bug 409499] New: Krunner returns empty item
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409499 Bug ID: 409499 Summary: Krunner returns empty item Product: krunner Version: 5.16.2 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: filesearch Assignee: baloo-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: el...@seznam.cz Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 121323 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121323=edit empty item in results SUMMARY When I use krunner and search for certain string, empty / null item is among results. It is always reproducible on one of my computers, but others work fine. Sometimes this empty item is image, sometimes folder, sometimes video. However it is consistent with search strings. Eg. when I search for "spo", it is always image. When I search for "a", it is always archive, when I search for "b" it is always video. If I disable plugin "Desktop Search", empty items do not appear in results. When I click empty item, I get error Malformed URL. I understand this is weird issue. Is there anything I could use to add more detailed information? Can I somehow call krunner query from console? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open krunner (I have Win key to open krunner) 2. Search for string spo OBSERVED RESULT Empty item appears. See attachment. EXPECTED RESULT No empty item. [plasmashell] [Bug 396912] Infinite notifications 'An application needs additional multimedia codecs'
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396912 --- Comment #2 from robert marshall --- I can replicate this with amarok (and running with the fluxbox WM) by enabling bluetooth headphones listening and then stopping the playback, disconnecting the headphones (in blueman applet) I check that the output bluetooth device has gone, so it all looks good. But if I then try to listen with wired headphones I get the popup loop. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 378953] Effect "Freeze" stops working after overlay
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378953 --- Comment #10 from Edward --- Ok, I downloaded the latest kdenlive-19.04.2f-x86_64.appimage and running it straight off seems to work with freezing the video with an overlay ontop. Tried both without anything in between, and a dissolve. Frame was frozen ok. And I can see what you mean by the code has changed. At first I could not find Freeze, but after clicking "Show All Filters" I found it. The transition also looked different. However, my only problem with having JUST the AppImage is that all the hundreds of other effects that I have in a previous version are not listed. I suppose I'll have to insert a new repository link if I want to update the installed version with this? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
