[kwin] [Bug 414440] New: Brightness gets maximized after screen times out.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414440 Bug ID: 414440 Summary: Brightness gets maximized after screen times out. Product: kwin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: wayland-generic Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kingspammern...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In a Wayland session, when the display times out and switches off, when it wakes up after a system event, the brightness gets set to maximum. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log in and start a Plasma/Wayland session. 2. Wait for the display to time out and switch off. 3. Move mouse to wake up the display. OBSERVED RESULT Password dialog appears, with the brightness set to maximum. EXPECTED RESULT Correct brightness value is restored when "waking up" the screen. [dolphin] [Bug 414439] New: File list keeps moving around when files added or removed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414439 Bug ID: 414439 Summary: File list keeps moving around when files added or removed Product: dolphin Version: 18.08.2 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: werr...@mail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have a directory full of files downloaded with youtube-dl. When downloading a new video, youtube-dl keeps creating and deleting temporary files. I can see the files being added/removed every second or so in dolphin when the files being downloaded are in the files currently visible. This is fine. The problems is when I scroll down in the list to a point where all files are older files that are not changing, the file lists jumps up and down by one row every second or so due to files added/removed outside of the currently visible files. This very annoying and makes it difficult to select files I want to work with. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a directory containing a lot of files (eg 2 or 3 times the number of files visible at any one time in dolphin) 2. Run something that keeps adding and removing temporary files in this directory (I use youtube-dl) 3. Sort by recently modified so the files added/removed are at the top of the list. 4. Scroll to top of view. The files continually added/removed will be seen. 5. Now scroll down so the files being added/removed are no longer visible. OBSERVED RESULT The file list jumps up and down a row due to files added/removed above the currently visible files. EXPECTED RESULT If the currently visible files are not changing and the changes to the directory are outside of the currently visible files based on the sort order, I would expect the list to remain static. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 92462] Add a new option to limit amount of thumbnails per index page
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92462 Bob changed: What|Removed |Added CC||bobsons...@yahoo.co.uk --- Comment #4 from Bob --- The current version of the HTML gallery tool does make it possible for a theme to offer the user the option to specify the number of thumbnails per index page. Whether or not this possibility is exploited depends upon the specific gallery theme, and no core change to digiKam could automatically alter this behaviour in a theme which does not support this. But there are already themes which do allow the user to specify the number of thumbnails per index page, such as the "Elegant" "Simple Rounded", and "Vanilla" themes which already come with digiKam 6.4.0, and also the new "HTML5 Responsive" theme which will be included in digiKam 7.0.0 and can in the meantime be downloaded from here: https://gitlab.com/Bobulous/digikam-html5-gallery-theme Given that this request is theme-specific and not something which can be fixed in digiKam core, can this request now be marked as resolved? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 388476] Missing image metadata in gallery.xml
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388476 Bob changed: What|Removed |Added CC||bobsons...@yahoo.co.uk --- Comment #1 from Bob --- I agree that it would be good to see the gallery.xml file generated with the descriptive image title (if one has been set) rather than repeating the original filename within the `collections/collection/image/title` XML element. (Would still be good to keep a dedicated element for the original filename too, though.) I hadn't spotted that the datetime was adjusted, but I agree that a new element containing the original value should be available. And, while we're on the subject of data which would be desirable when creating HTML gallery themes, I'd like to see an XML element which contains child elements holding the tags applied to each image, so that this could optionally be used in an HTML gallery. So gallery.xml would, within each image element, contain something like this: located/United-Kingdom/London/City-Of-London organised/Wiki-Loves-Monuments-2018 released/Creative-Commons_Attribution-ShareAlike-4.0-International warning/Time-Is-GMT -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: tablet support Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: snopm...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY XP-Pen's Pen/Eraser barrel button changes Brush Preset opacity to be the same as the Pen Mode's Brush Preset Opacity when toggled to Eraser Mode, then when toggled back to Pen Mode, it changes the Brush Preset opacity to 0%. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a New File in Krita. Have XP-Pen's stylus default Pen/Eraser button in the default Pen Mode and select a Brush Preset. 2. Press the Pen/Eraser button to toggle to Eraser Mode then select select an eraser Brush Preset. 3. Press the Pen/Eraser button to toggle back to Pen Mode. The Brush Preset would have it's opacity changed to 0%. 4. Restart Krita. 5. Create a New File. 6. Note the selected Brush Preset's opacity. Press the Pen/Eraser barrel button to go into Eraser Mode. Note how your eraser's opacity is now set to whatever opacity your previous brush was. 7. Use the Pen/Eraser barrel button to toggle back to Pen Mode, again, your Brush Preset will have it's opacity set to 0%. 8. These two behaviors only happens once, every time Krita has restarted. OBSERVED RESULT These two behaviors only happens once after starting Krita. EXPECTED RESULT Normally switching Brush Presets without changing opacity. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION a) Krita 4.2.8-beta1 (git 0e1e206) 64-bit. b) XP-Pen Artist 22E pro, Driver Version: XP-PenWin(20191122) Nov 22,2019 PM 14:50 c)This bug has happened in all versions of drivers I tried. d) This Pen/Eraser button toggles to Pen Mode and Eraser mode just fine in Clipstudio Paint and Leonardo Beta. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-sonnet] [Bug 176537] Sonnet fails to do spellcheck on Indian languages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=176537 Waqar Ahmed changed: What|Removed |Added CC||waqar@gmail.com --- Comment #12 from Waqar Ahmed --- > https://cgit.kde.org/sonnet.git/tree/src/core/guesslanguage.cpp > It's worth nothing that trigram-based detection is a fallback codepath. We'd > first need to determine why the script-based detection here fails: As far as I can understand trigram based detection isn't a fallback. It is the first source, and if that fails Sonnet bruteforces the dictionaries for a guess. The script detection is working fine, but if the detected scripted doesn't have any trigrams, no candidate languages are returned and if no candidate languages are returned, sonnet goes ahead and checks the sample text with the 'default language' and fails. The solution that can fix this particular issue is quite simple. We just check the script of the text, then we count the number of languages a particular script has. If it has only one, like in this case, we just return that language. The language can be more than one for latin script languages though. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The freehand path tool is the only tool that stopped working with the touch screen feature of my laptop and stylus. The only way I can get it to work (other than with my laptops touch pad) is by hitting any of the tabs at the top of my window (ex: file, edit, view, etc.) and then if I immediately touch my canvas I can get one single stroke in. Increase Opacity=Meta+Alt+= Decrease Opacity=Meta+Alt+- This is similar to how the Zoom function works with Plasma but adds the extra Alt modifier. This is the setting I use for my workflow and I use it often when podcasting so others might find it useful and it doesn't negatively affect anything as those shortcuts I'm suggesting are not utilized for anything at the moment. [dolphin] [Bug 412618] Crash when copying directory with the same name
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412618 --- Comment #8 from pac.dlfis...@gmail.com --- A few things -- I thought I was being clear in the fact that I did look and that I was asking someone who might know or perhaps somewhere where an alternative link could be provided to the package. I'm able to reproduce it consistently on different hardware running the current version kubuntu - I did that BEFORE bothering to report. I realize that everyone that contributes or works on fixing these bugs has a life but so do the people who report them and I waited over two weeks just to be told that I need to try and find a better solution to the problem that isn't actually the one I'm reporting so you can have a more detailed report. Just close the ticket at this point since nobody cares about this issue or can identify where it is coming from. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414420 --- Comment #4 from Maik Qualmann --- There must have been a change to Exiv2 here. For EXIF, Exiv2 expects a ":" as a date separator. For XMP, however, a "-". The colon has always worked, now I have to look into the XMP specifications... Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
