https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414590 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |DUPLICATE Status|REOPENED|RESOLVED --- Comment #4 from Nate Graham --- Artha is a GTK2 app as far as I can tell, so that's the same issue as Bug 412331. The issues with VirtualBox are bugs in the app itself using hardcoded colors. There's nothing the theme can do about that. I would encourage you to file bugs with the VirtualBox developers. SMPlayer has a custom UI and uses hardcoded colors all over the place, so again, you'd need to report those issues to the SMPlayer developers. The only actionable things here are in the Breeze GTK theme for GTK2 apps, so re-marking this as a duplicate of Bug 412331. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 412331 *** -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 344393] OSD is too big
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344393 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #7 from Nate Graham --- There just wasn't consensus that it was significantly better, and the discussion got derailed into a proposal to make the OSD style a separately downloadable theme that went nowhere because it would have been complicated and not offered any real improvement IMO. My personal objection was that the proposed smaller OSD was still positioned right in the bottom-center of the screen, where it would continue to obscure subtitles and the main action in videos. These are the primary objections to the current OSD, so it didn't seem like the problem would actually be solved. I could get behind the smaller version if it was a 100% solution to the problem--perhaps by moving it down even farther--but I don't hate the current one enough to really have the energy to push for a change. If you do, I would recommend leaving a positive, supportive comment on See https://phabricator.kde.org/D20569 encouraging Kai to re-open it and tweak it a bit more so we can gain consensus on something and move forward. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[plasmashell] [Bug 414671] New: Lag when showing popups if event also has a sound associated with it

SUMMARY In KDE Plasma 5.17 (Neon User, but it also happened on 5.16 and on Manjaro) some popups, such as confirmations when moving files to trash or any informational popup related to Plasma itself, shows up with a huge delay. I figured out a few things that may help figure out the bug. Basically, the delay starts presenting itself when I change the default output device. I have a motherboard with an integrated soundcard as it is normal, but I prefer to output through my monitor via the DisplayPort or HDMI cable. If I go to ~/.config/pulse and delete everything then restart pulseaudio, popups are instantaneous again, but as soon as I set HDMI\DP as default output, they become laggy again. Also, the delay only happens for popups that have a sound associated with it. If I remove the sound, the popups appear immediately. Finally, after a delayed popup, all subsequent ones are instantaneous. But after a while, the same popup will be laggy again. [dolphin] [Bug 414670] New: Make connecting to arbitrary servers more obvious and user-friendly, like in Nautilus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414670 Bug ID: 414670 Summary: Make connecting to arbitrary servers more obvious and user-friendly, like in Nautilus Product: dolphin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: n...@kde.org CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- I found myself using Nautilus today and quite liked a feature of theirs: Nautilus makes it really easy to figure out how to connect to a network location. On the "Other locations" page, there's a big, obvious "Connect to server" label with a text field that prompts you to enter a network location URL, and it remembers recently-connected servers. See attached screenshot. Of course Dolphin has a URL bar that you can just paste arbitrary URLs into, but this is an inferior UI for several reasons: - It starts out in breadcrumb mode; many users may not ever discover that it has a URL entry mode - Even in URL entry mode, it's not obvious that it accepts arbitrary URLs to network locations we well. You might think that it only shows local paths. - It doesn't remember recent network locations (Bug 174810). In addition to this UI, Dolphin has an "Add network folder" wizard accessible from the remote:/ ioslave. It is also sub-optimal because it's in the form of a wizard that asks you lots of questions you might not know the answer to. Also, the whole point of it is to create a semi-permanent link to some network place, not a transient connection to a server that you might not necessarily connect to again. Overall I found Nautilus's approach to be quite user-friendly and I think we could learn something from it. Perhaps we could add a toolbar visible in the remote:/ ioslave that displays this feature in it, like we do for the trash:/ ioslave that displays a custom UI to help you empty the trash: https://cgit.kde.org/dolphin.git/commit/?id=eb68fae15cdbf15e894d1a9d555c88d306261cc2 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: Animation Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ahab.greybe...@hotmail.co.uk Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 124189 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=124189=edit Example .kra file to induce the crash SUMMARY This happens with the latest 4.3.0 prealpha Windows build g5924da4972 and also the 4.2.8 Linux appimage. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Put opacity keyframes on a layer which is not itself animated. This may be done to give some kind of fade in/out effect for the layer content. 2. Click on the onion skin icon for that layer in the Timeline docker. A .kra file is attached that illustrates this. OBSERVED RESULT Crash I attach the Windows crash log. EXPECTED RESULT Not crash I know that there's no point in trying to show onion skins for this situation but if it can be done them somebody will try to do it (like I did). A workaround is to make one animated frame by using Create Duplicate Frame on frame-0 of the Timeline so it fills up with held frames of the layer content. However, this can't be done if an opacity keyframe has been placed on frame-0. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409613 Stig changed: What|Removed |Added CC||sti-n...@online.no --- Comment #5 from Stig --- I also had the same problem. On all of my 3 Windows 10 computers the "Zoom Canvas" and "Alternate Invocation" did not work when I expected them to, and often were unresponsive for many seconds. It seemed to stop working at seemingly random times. Which was extremely frustrating. But now I know thanks to Hector, that this was caused by my keyboard shortcut for "Reset Canvas Rotation" being set to "Space + R" in my shortcut scheme which I used on all of my computers. I also propose that Krita should disable the appointment of shortcuts with a space. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414484 --- Comment #25 from tlteebken-...@outlook.com --- Also I forgot to add: thank you for your efforts on Digikam. I've been gradually converting most of my personal software to FOSS and with the latest improvements in Gimp (incl 32-bit support), RT, and Digikam, it's now possible to have pretty awesome graphics software functionality, without needing to spend for Adobe PS or other expensive subscriptions. One of the big things I had not found up to this point was a good digital assets management (DAM) software app that was FOSS. Digikam is really the ticket. I especially love it's awesome metadata support. That is one aspect of Digikam, and there are others, that are actually BETTER than any commercial software package I have tried. [digikam] [Bug 414484] Cannot use Rawtherapee or Darktable for raw image import on Windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=414484 --- Comment #24 from tlteebken-...@outlook.com --- Installed latest bits, still no success with DT. This may be worth noting: I wonder if your test cases are the same as my use case on Win x64. * Latest versions of everything (Win x64, Digikam, RT, DT) * And...note that I have BOTH RT and DT installed same time. I've noticed that in Gimp, you can sort of 'pin' which one is currently the default in the plugin settings, even though both show up there. And yes, I tried to 'pin' DT as the default, that did work in Gimp but had no impact on Digikam. For my part, I'm good to go. I actually slightly prefer RT over DT anyway, and since it works, I'll go with it. Thanks for the updates and responses. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
