Marc, this problem cannot be reproduced here. Not even with my slower network
share. The writing process may not have been completed before you reread the
metadata again. Without a test image with which the problem can be reproduced
and the output from the console, we cannot do anything here. Technically, we
delete all facial rectangles in the metadata before we write new ones.

I don't have a system at hand to test unfortunately.

Do you have a particular commit in mind that is likely to have fixed this?

Right now, we are using the latest version, but still with the patch (linked in
the ticket) applied. I don't think there is a reason for QCA to use setuid, so
by disabling it we are on the safe side it doesn't do anything that's
disallowed (on Android) by design.

Hey Louis,

First, thanks for the patches and keeping this tool alive and well on MacOS!
Also, thanks for the suggestion. I tried to install Valgrind using your repo,
but got the same error as 'i.am.qix'. I see they also added their log file, so
won't do the same. Would be happy to help try to debug the cause of this issue?

Thanks,

An update just landed in git packages. The problem seems to be fixed now. I

[kdenlive] [Bug 416811] New: Copying fade out effect will add 1 frame

2020-01-26 Thread CzAndrew
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416811

Bug ID: 416811
Summary: Copying fade out effect will add 1 frame
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 19.12.1
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Effects & Transitions
  Assignee: vpi...@kde.org
  Reporter: czart.and...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
If you copy the fade out effect from one clip to another in the timeline, the
copyed effect will be longer by 1 frame.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add at least 2 clips to the project bin, then timeline.
2. Add fade out effect on one of the clips (modify the duration if you wish).
3. Right click on the clip -> copy, then right click -> paste effects on the
other clip.

OBSERVED RESULT
The pasted effect will be one frame longer. For example if I copied a 5 frame
long fade out effect, the pasted effect will be 6 frames.
Strangely, if I copy the pasted effect, then it will be the correct size after
I paste it.

EXPECTED RESULT
The copied effects should have the same duration.

With my own kmy file I've been using for years, I can create an account in any
currency. With a new data file (base currency either USD or EUR or HUF, I can
only create an account with that base currency, no other choice.
I'm wondering if perhaps there is something I failed to choose when creating
the file, but nothing obvious to me. Might it depend on the set of
accounts/categories chosen when creating the file?

Qt has a shortcut for QTimer::singleShot(msec = 0, ...), where they call
QMetaObject::invokeMethodImpl to trigger your lambda immediately via a
QueuedConnection plus one iteration through the event loop.

So a callstack like yours
#n+1 QMetaObject::invokeMethodImpl
#n   Okular::Generator::generatePixmap
...
#n-m QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents
could indeed stem from a "text generation already finished but mTextPageReady
still false" endless loop, assuming the compiler has inlined some calls for
optimization. Note the "could", I see no definite proof yet.

I generally agree with Albert that this issue is particularly hard to debug
without being able to reproduce it locally.

Screenshot of New Account Setup / Edit Account dialogs

SUMMARY
I try to setup a new cash account for EUR currency. During new account setup, I
cannot select any other currency just HUF (my base currency). I also tried to
create the account as HUF and change the currency by editing the account but
the result is the same.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on New Account
2. Click Next on Institution tab of KMyMoney New Account Setup (no institution
selected)
3. Type "Készpénz, EUR" in Account name, change Account type to "Cash"
4. Try to select "Euro (EUR)" as Currency.

OBSERVED RESULT
The dropdown list contains only Hungarian Forint (HUF) and no other currency.

EXPECTED RESULT
I was expecting to be able to select any currency just as I can select the base
currency when creating a new .kmy file.

I installed the version from flathub (19.12.1) and the problem still occurs
(although all other issues I reported previously are solved in this version. I
will report and close those issues asap)
The reason the very old version 3.6 is installed is because that is the one
still available on the Ubuntu Software "store" (without snap or flatpak) for
Ubuntu 18.04

Describing the steps: if I am at play 58 and there are two cards left (King of
Clubs on top of Queen of Clubs), moving the King (to another column or
freecell) counts as move 59 and then moving the Queen and the King to the
foundation should be moves 60 and 61 but the counter stops at 60

No, I don't adjust the screens while Krita is open -- I simply mentioned that
as an example

This problem seems to have emerged sometime since Krita 4.1.5. I've previously
been using the Appimage of that version, which did not (and still does not)
exhibit this behavior. I switched to the Arch package about a week ago, which
is where I noticed this.

As a test, I have downloaded the 4.2.8 Appimage. It behaves the same as the
Arch package in this regard.

[systemsettings] [Bug 413762] GTK2 themes are not working at all and the previews aren't working either for only gtk2

You still have to apply the theme. This just moves or copies the themes to
the root theme folder.

[dolphin] [Bug 413660] Natural sorting not working as documented

2020-01-26 Thread Werner Lehmann

(In reply to Méven Car from comment #3)

> again and see if the behavior has changed ?

I have the setting on natural all the time anyway and had many Dolphin starts
in the few months since reporting this. But I tried it and there is no
difference.

There is a minor other bug (I would say): after changing the sort order and
closing the options dialog the file list is not resorted right away. Seems to
be cached. On reopening the options dialog it is resorted, before changing any
option. Keeping this in mind I can confirm that alphabetical order with or
without case sensitivity works as expected. Natural seems to work exactly like
alphabetical, case insensitive.

One thing, since you seem to be able to reproduce it relatively easily, could
you try okular from flathub and try reproducing it using that okular instead of
your distribution one? https://flathub.org/apps/details/org.kde.okular

[kdeconnect] [Bug 416807] New: Flood of notifications when transferring large number of files

2020-01-26 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416807

Bug ID: 416807
Summary: Flood of notifications when transferring large number
of files
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: 1.10
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: n...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 125451
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=125451=edit
Notification flood

SUMMARY
KDE Connect started working again for me! All KDE software built from source on
openSUSE Tumbleweed + latest Android app on Android 8.0.0

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open KDE Connect app
2. Tap "Send Files"
3. On Camera/Pictures page, tap three-dot menu and select all pictures (it was
several hundred)
4. Tap "Open" (another minor bug; should say "Select"

OBSERVED RESULT
On the host, I see one notification per image, resulting in a torrent of
notifications. See attached screen recording. I cannot see overall progress or
cancel the whole transfer.

EXPECTED RESULT
Only a single file transfer notification shows up on the host that includes all
files in it, displays accurate progress information, and allows the whole
transfer to be canceled.

I suppose what's happening is that each file is transferred using a separate
job rather than combining them all into a single job. If there isn't a
technical blocker to doing that, we might want to consider it

my pulseaudio was not working and it was causing my problem despite I always
mute the notification sounds on my system. Now pulse audio is working again
here and I can't confirm your issue on my system even if system sounds are not
muted. I use camberra for notification sounds. I'm not mistaken, phonon is
problematic and can cause your issue.

3. Showing smaller album arts in the playlist

5. I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but there is no way to rate
songs even though Elisa allows you to filter by rating.

[plasmashell] [Bug 371455] Slide show wallpaper massively slows down login when many images are configured

2020-01-26 Thread Christian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371455

(In reply to David Redondo from comment #32)
> Hi, does the following patch help?
> It shows the last image shown the last time on startup, which should signal
> ealier that wallpaper.loading = false;

Thanks, David. The patch compiles and does show the last image shown the last
time on startup. But it doesn't fix the problem:
* The plasmashell process still consumes huge amount of processing time
immediately from the login
* During that time, many plasma things don't work, including the "Start menu"
or whatever KDE calls it, the status bar with the notification icons, etc.

Maybe it helps to re-state what the problem is (the fact that the wallpaper
doesn't show immediately, which you fixed in the patch, is only one problem).
The main problem is that, now, Plasma appears to "scan and read" the whole
image collection immediately after log-in (not sure what for), and this freezes
the rest of plasma desktop for a considerable while. (More than 10 minutes on
this machine... I.e., I don't log out any more, I just lock the screen instead,
because logging in to a working system takes ages.)

In earlier versions, there was no problem like this. I don't know what changed
internally, but the explanation in Comment #13 sounds correct to me.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416804

Bug ID: 416804
Summary: Cannot type in speed value
   Product: kdenlive
   Version: 19.12.1
  Platform: MS Windows
OS: MS Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: User Interface
  Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org
  Reporter: iadagr...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Changing the clip speed is extremely annoying to use, I assume this is some
kind of bug or oversight but you cannot simply type in a speed value you must
either scroll or click the arrow. And if you're editing a speed painting where
you want 10 hours to be compressed into maybe 2 minutes (meaning you might need
100x or 1% speed) it can be very difficult.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add clip to track
2. Right click and select change speed
3. note typing in a speed is not possible you must use arrows or mouse wheel
which if you need 1000% speed is very annoying

OBSERVED RESULT
text highlights but cannot be typed

EXPECTED RESULT
value should be typeable.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: windows 10 pro 1909 18363.592

[kmail2] [Bug 416803] New: Junk mail in Trash folder count as unread email in Inbox

2020-01-26 Thread brotakul
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416803

Bug ID: 416803
Summary: Junk mail in Trash folder count as unread email in
Inbox
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.11.3
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: raduer...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Any junk mail that is filtered and sent directly to Trash folder is still
counted as unread mail in the Inbox folder. Only after viewing those emails
from trash or emptying the Trash folder, the unread email count is shown
correctly.
The "Act on new/unread mail in this folder" option for the Trash folder is
disabled (unticked), but still these mails count as unread in Inbox.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
New/unread mail in Trash folder counts as new/unread mail in Inbox.

EXPECTED RESULT
Since the "Act on new/unread mail in this folder" option for the Trash folder
is unticked/disabled, new/unread mail in Trash should not count as new/unread
mail in Inbox.

follow the steps. No mp4 files or other content is needed.

Ahh I see. I think for now I'll leave it enabled and then render without it as
it's basically impossible to edit without gpu acceleration for me.
