[kstars] [Bug 398192] In Ekos, stopping INDI immediately after disconnecting devices hangs KStars

This still happens in KStars 3.4.0, and on the Mac as well. If you wait
(sometimes 20-30 seconds after the last log file entry), then you can stop Indi
Server. If you don't wait long enough (and it varies substantially), the
application will hang with a spinning beachball cursor and you ultimately need
to Force Quit it.

Because of how many difficulties I have with Indi, this often results in 2-3
crashes per night. Unfortunately it is not rare; it literally happens to me
every observing session at least once.

I'm not even sure that the message come directly from digiKam. An "unknown:

also come from the Solid API.

[kdevelop] [Bug 417971] New: Kdevelop crashes during autocomplete

2020-02-20 Thread Andrei Slavoiu

Bug ID: 417971
   Summary: Kdevelop crashes during autocomplete
   Product: kdevelop
   Version: 5.5.0
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdevelop-bugs-n...@kde.org

Application: kdevelop (5.5.0)

Qt Version: 5.13.2
Frameworks Version: 5.64.0
Operating System: Linux 4.19.93-gentoo x86_64
Distribution: "Gentoo Base System release 2.6"

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

The crashes seem to happen at random moments, though they started happening
after I replaced some manual std::unique_ptr instantiations with calls to
boost::make_unique, not sure if it's related or just a coincidence.

The stack trace is similar to that from some bugs related to static_assert
parsing with clang 3.9, but given I'm using clang 9.0.1 it shouldn't be
related.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[Breeze] [Bug 417969] New: Inability to deterministically choose when an icon should be monochrome and when it should be colorful

2020-02-20 Thread Nate Graham
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417969

Bug ID: 417969
Summary: Inability to deterministically choose when an icon
should be monochrome and when it should be colorful
   Product: Breeze
   Version: 5.18.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Icons
  Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org
  Reporter: n...@kde.org
CC: kain...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Breeze icons currently come in two styles: monochrome and colorful.

Generally, the monochrome style is used for small icons: 16px, 22px, and 24px
(for compatibility with GTK which uses the 24px size). Colorful icons are
generally 32px or larger.

This leads to a general rule: use monochrome for small icons, and color for
large icons. This works fine for icons all of whose sizes are in one style or
the other.

It stops working so well for icons that have multiple sizes, with small
monochrome versions and larger colorful versions, because some of the time we
want to use colorful icons for small sizes and some of the time we want to use
monochrome icons for large sizes.

For example, we want an app's icon to be colorful for the small 16px version
shown in the titlebar, but monochrome if it happens to have a system tray icon
(e.g. Plasma Vault). And we want toolbar icons to continue to use the
monochrome style at 32px and larger sizes even if they happen to have colorful
versions.

Right now we don't really have a way to do this within the confines of a single
icon theme.

Hi there.

Just updated to master today (2020-02-21)
Now I am able to add title clips without the interface crashing.

The system has stayed completely unchanged from the last time I did the
testing, apart from updating git repo and rebuilding kdenvelive master branch.

Anyways, thanks for fixing the issue

[kstars] [Bug 417968] New: Critical Break: Guiding via MOUNT Unavailable.

2020-02-20 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417968

Bug ID: 417968
Summary: Critical Break: Guiding via MOUNT Unavailable.
   Product: kstars
   Version: 3.4.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com
  Reporter: mountainai...@outlook.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

Cannot choose Celestron CGX mount as a guiding option. Ekos only lists the
guide camera (ASI174mm) itself, but I am not using the ST4 guide port. The
previous version of KStars/Ekos that I used, 3.2.6, automatically chose
Celestron CGX for the "Guide Via" setting and I never had any issues with it.

This happens in both Ekos Linux and Ekos Mac.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect to a profile using Celestron CGX mount and ASI174MM guide cam using
an OAG.
2. Go to the Guide tab.
3. Attempt to change the "Via" dropdown to Celestron CGX. Option is not
available.
4. Note that mount can be controlled via KStars as usual.

OBSERVED RESULT
Celestron CGX is not available as a Guide Via option, despite Indi reporting
drivers for both Celestron CGX and ASI174MM loaded fine. Mount control works
as normal, you just can't guide with it.

EXPECTED RESULT
We should be able to guide via the mount. This breaks my imaging rig. I can
try ST4, but that is a sub-optimal workaround for something that worked fine a
few days ago.

At the bottom of the screen when playing a track, or when clicking the "i"
icon, you get a path to the track on the filesystem. How about opening the
containing folder and selecting the track in e.g. Dolphin when clicking upon
the folder icon?

[elisa] [Bug 417964] New: Artist and Album names are case sensitive

2020-02-20 Thread Paul M
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417964

Bug ID: 417964
Summary: Artist and Album names are case sensitive
   Product: elisa
   Version: 19.12.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr
  Reporter: k...@paulmcauley.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I noticed that when clicking on a link to an artist that it did not show all
the albums/tracks as Elisa currently treats artist as case-sensitive. Perhaps
this should not be the case.

e.g. "Rage Against The Machine" and "Rage Against the Machine" are treated
separately.

I know this is Linux convention for the file system, but perhaps it should not
be for a music collection.

I have numerous songs with the Artist field set to "Artist1; Artist2" etc.

recognise these as more than one artist.

Clicking a hyperlink to Artist1 should also show tracks from "Artist1;

[digikam] [Bug 417960] New: [Enhancement]. In Batch Queue Manager - ability to display preview image

2020-02-20 Thread Nigel Aves
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417960

Bug ID: 417960
Summary: [Enhancement]. In Batch Queue Manager - ability to
display preview image
   Product: digikam
   Version: 7.0.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: BatchQueueManager-Workflow
  Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: nigel.a...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I'm very new to digiKam. The problem I am having is that when I'm setting up
the filters in batch manger I have no clue as to how the final result will look
without having to run the manager and produce a new image.

There is probably not enough screen real estate to do this in current window,
but if a "Preview" button was added and the image displayed in a separate
window (Before / After toggle), that would help cut down on the in and out of
Batch Manager, find photograph, view it . Fewer the mouse clicks better the
work flow!

An alternative to that idea would be the ability in Image Editor to create and
save as a "Workflow" as the changes you need for converting from RAW to XXX or
changes to existing image files.

only on the 2nd try? with me it does it right away every time, on the recording
I opened krita with 2 grid lines a selection and a random image and nothing
else.

You think is a problem in the code I made (like in the sequence order or is it
lacking some other command then) or is it really in the paste command then?

I tryed to look up as much info as I could on the topic but I can't say for
certain, but my feeling is that it's on the command itself somewhere. I
compared the C++ file and the Python one, and the python one looked to lack
some cases inside (but I dont read C++ to know better).

My gut reaction is this is the job of the underlying package system and any
patches should be submitted there.

Menu that should appear on icon click

SUMMARY
It is not possible to access additional gtk menu on csd applications, this is a
big issue
because you have no way to access the preferences of the application, about and
keyboard shortcuts windows, etc
Even if you edit the file manually to solve the problem, after reboot the
system updates again the file, back to the
bad configuration that leaves you unable to access the menu

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a Gtk client side decoration window like gnome calc
2. Try to open the menu clicking on the window icon
3. Menu won't open, clicking in the icon

OBSERVED RESULT
Not possible to access menu

EXPECTED RESULT
Be possible to access menu

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon 5.18
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0
Qt Version: 5.14.1
Kernel Version: 5.3.0-40-generic

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (How to fix)
To fix this issue instead of (in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini):
gtk-decoration-layout=icon:minimize,maximize,close
should be (menu instead of icon):
gtk-decoration-layout=menu:minimize,maximize,close

works just fine for me, are you sure it's not that particular file? Can you try
downloading other djvu files and see if you have the same problem?

of its toolbar
   Product: frameworks-kirigami
   Version: Master
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED

Extra hamburger button on the left side

The button does nothing when clicked. Nothing changed in Kamoso recently, so
this seems like a Kirigami regression.
