[dolphin] [Bug 404955] Add an option to always show the file extension
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404955 Lurkningen changed: What|Removed |Added CC||lurknin...@aol.com --- Comment #10 from Lurkningen --- Often the rightmost part of long file names (with the exception of the extension) is the most useless part, with specific details such as unique IDs, tags, or long version strings being tacked at the end. And sometimes you can get some of that "noise" both at the start and at the end of the file name, with the result that with the new behaviour the actual useful part of the file name becomes completely hidden. A smarter way to do this would be to try to always show the extension and put the ellipsis just before it, though handling double extensions won't be straightforward. In any case I think it would be better to make this optional. Sometimes you just want to be certain that the file name you are seeing is the actual file name. I've seen one too many file names with ellipses in them and the first time I saw the new behaviour I didn't even realise those weren't part of the file name. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 419324] New: Edit bundle resets bundle resources (Krita 4.2.9)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419324 Bug ID: 419324 Summary: Edit bundle resets bundle resources (Krita 4.2.9) Product: krita Version: unspecified Platform: MS Windows OS: MS Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Resource Management Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: noctualis...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I just installed Krita version 4.2.9 and went to edit one of my brush bundles that I created. When I try to edit a bundle, it seems to save it, but when I hit edit bundle a second time the right panel is completely empty. This makes me think that it corrupts or empties the bundle when you save an edit. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. select a bundle that was imported 2. press edit bundle 3. change bundle then save bundle 4. press edit bundle again 5. observe right panel is empty OBSERVED RESULT I created the bundle in a previous version of Krita and when I opened the manage resource bundles window it showed in the active bundles section. I selected my bundle and hit edit bundle. It showed up normally and I took out a brush and added a new type of brush into the bundle and pressed save. Then I realized I had another edit so I hit edit bundle again. This showed the normal edit panel, with all the information on the left hand side filled out, but it reset all the brushes and brush presets so that it appeared to be an empty bundle. And my preview image turned red. But if we search in English for "brush", on the Chinese version, we can still get the untranslated pages with the word "brush". This issue greatly impacts the usefulness of Krita's documentation for Chinese users. The effort of translating it does not reach many of our end users who searched the website for help. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419310 --- Comment #7 from Gabriel Fernandes --- In dolphin we have 3 options. 1. You have a popup that asks you what you want to do (open or execute) 2. Set open as default, so always when you click an executable the file is opened with a default application (kate, let's say) 3. Execute without asking. Let's say you have second option set in dolphin, so one time, you clicked the file, it just got open in the text editor, fine, secure. If that file pops up in krunner/kickoff, it will only get executed, there's no the same safety mechanism dolphin has (the 2 first options). This kinda deceives you, as you don't expect the different behavior (you are certain you won't execute any untrusted executable from dolphin because of the safest options, but you might be tricked by the launcher to execute something you opened once to inspect what's in there) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419310 --- Comment #5 from David Edmundson --- >open the file to have it as a recent file when you search using kickoff or >krunner, But then it's been already run? Unless the user does "open with" the first time. I don't yet understand why it's different from the typical dolphin + executable desktop file case? [KBibTeX] [Bug 417210] Edit Element dialog closes w/o confirming, possibly losing edits
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417210 --- Comment #4 from glyphi...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Thomas Fischer from comment #3) > (In reply to Thomas Fischer from comment #2) > > I think I fixed this bug. Hi Thomas. Sorry, missed this earlier. Tested the linked version. Issues: a) Typo in dialog text ("The current entry has been modified. Do you want do discard your changes?") -- should be "to discard" b) Behavior for Esc and Cancel differs after editing a text field: Esc closes w/o dialog, losing changes; Cancel correctly raises the dialog. c) Similarly, behavior for Esc and Cancel differs after adding/removing/editing a text field (e.g. Author or External): Esc closes, losing changes; Cancel raises dialog d) Changes to a Plain Text/Reference/Source Code dropdown menu are saved whether the user hit Ok, Cancel, or Esc -- they can't be discarded e) Setting a checkbox (e.g. "et al"), Esc saves rather than discards; Cancel correctly raises dialog f) Clearing a checkbox, Esc discards and doesn't raise dialog; Cancel correctly raises dialog So, in general, Esc and Cancel are working differently -- presumably they should have the same behavior. Then for that 1 type of pulldown field, Esc/Cancel aren't discarding. And when turning on (but not turning off) a checkbox, Esc acts like OK, but Cancel raises a dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419316 Bug ID: 419316 Summary: digiKam displays "Lens: unavailable" for all lenses used on Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Metadata-Raw Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ldlafl...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY My cameras are a Canon EOS 80D and a Canon EOS M6 Mark II, both of which are listed at digikam.org as a compatible cameras. I have .CR2 and.CR3 RAW files, respectively, taken with those cameras using a "Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM" lens. When the 80D and M6ii RAW files are viewed in Lightroom, BOTH display the lens model correctly. Likewise, ExifTool displays the correct lens model from each file. However, digiKam displays the lens model ONLY for the 80D RAW file. For the M6ii RAW file, it displays "Lens: unavailable". In fact, "Lens: unavailable" is always displayed for M6ii RAW files for every lens I have used, even those contained in the Lensfun files. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Display the Album list in digiKam 2. Find an album that contains a .CR3 RAW file from a Canon EOS M6 Mark II camera. 3. Select that RAW file. OBSERVED RESULT In Properties > Photographic Properties in the right panel, digiKam displays "Lens: unavailable". EXPECTED RESULT Properties > Photographic Properties should display "Lens: ". [Breeze] [Bug 419311] New: Telegram's monochrome system tray icon should follow Plasma Style instead of Color Scheme
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419311 Bug ID: 419311 Summary: Telegram's monochrome system tray icon should follow Plasma Style instead of Color Scheme Product: Breeze Version: 5.18.3 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Icons Assignee: visual-des...@kde.org Reporter: lagru+...@mailbox.org CC: kain...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 127052 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=127052=edit Telegram's system tray icon with Plasma Style "Breeze Dark" and Color Scheme "Breeze Light" The recent update https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417583 introduced monochrome system tray icons for Telegram. Whether the dark or bright one is chosen seems to depend on the current color scheme. However I use a bright color scheme together with a dark Plasma style. This seems to result in the wrong system tray icon being chosen which in this case is the dark one that is barely visible on the dark panel (see attachment). When I temporarily set a dark color scheme and restart Telegram the bright monochrome icon is chosen which I is more easily visible. This is my first time interacting with this bug tracker and I apologize if I missed some guide line, related issue or if this is entirely the wrong place. I am happy to address any questions or feedback. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In System Settings > Plasma Style: set Plasma style to a dark theme, e.g. "Breeze Dark" 2. In System Settings > Colors: set color scheme to a bright one, e.g. "Breeze Light" 3. Close and restart Telegram OBSERVED RESULT The dark monochrome icon is displayed for Telegram's system tray which is barely visible on the dark background. EXPECTED RESULT The bright monochrome icon should be chosen to achieve a higher contrast to the background. [kmymoney] [Bug 419186] photoTAN does not work with aquabanking
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=419186 --- Comment #7 from Thomas Baumgart --- There's no need to try that. The versions on https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Release_win64/ do not contain AqBanking so they are of no help. And lately, they don't include OFX as well since the windows build does not find it (even though it is there). Why don't we have a newer version?
