https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422306 --- Comment #8 from MountainX --- > I need the perf output of hotspot. I don't have the debug symbols. Is the perf output of hotspot still of use to you? If so, how do I get it? I'm not seeing an output option in hotspot commands/menus. Do you mean the raw perf.data file I recorded with `perf record`? I used `perf record --call-graph lbr dolphin`. Is that sufficient? Sorry, all this is new to me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

That's the kind of local setting that most users don't use and that makes your system apart, and might be an explanation for the bug. Especially combined with your 10 NFS mounts. [muon] [Bug 422288] Muon should have a command line option to select specified packages for installation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422288 --- Comment #1 from Carlo Vanini --- Maybe you can use `qapt-batch`, which is intended for your use case and is based on the same library (libqapt3) as Muon. Other examples I can think of are * kubuntu-driver-manager is using libQApt as a c++ library https://cgit.kde.org/scratch/garg/kcm-driver-manager.git/tree/src/DriverManager.cpp#n25 * ubuntu-drivers-common is using python3-apt * Spectacle, this is a more recent and adequate example especially if you want to install other applications like Okular. In the Spectacle window click on Tools > Record screen > Others > Peek > Install (If Peek is not already installed, you can install it from there with Discover) I thank you for your interest in Muon. But, your best bet is probably to look at Spectacle and use Discover as it is more modern, actively maintained and may work with more distributions (not just deb based). You may also have a look at how it is done for localization packages. There is a notification in the system tray when additional packages are available, not sure how that one works. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422306 --- Comment #4 from MountainX --- > the problem should be obvious using a flamegraph tool such as > https://github.com/KDAB/hotspot This looks interesting. A lot of it is over my head, but I am willing to give it a try. > pay attention to its caveat (super user rights) I don't understand the steps at https://github.com/KDAB/hotspot#recording-with-perf-without-super-user-rights Here are some questions I have: >> This is achieved by applying these steps, bundled into a script that is run >> via kdesudo or kdesu. Do I run `kdesudo elevate_perf_privileges.sh` before launching the HotSpot tool? > Using Hotspot: First of all, record some data with perf. To get backtraces, > you will need to enable the dwarf callgraph mode: >> perf record --call-graph dwarf What are the exact steps I would need to do? Is this correct? 1. kdesudo elevate_perf_privileges.sh 2. perf record --call-graph dwarf dolphin 3. open the HotSpot GUI? > It would need the debug symbols still to be useful I don't think I will be able to compile packages from source. Is it still worth doing any of this? I will proceed even without debug symbols if this will allow me to see if Dolphin is being slowed by a configuration in my user profile (such as some *rc file) or by something like a large list of recently used files, etc. If the information will be granular enough to allow me to learn something, I will proceed to investigate even without being able to compile the executable with debug symbols. On the other hand, if it is a complete waste of my time, let me know and we'll have to hope somebody with more skills can provide the debug info. > How many files or folders does your home folder contain? 183 at level 1 using 'wc -l' Setting Dolphin to open at another location doesn't affect the issue. > Does this happen when dolphin or the kde file dialog open any directory at > launch ? Yes. > Do you have many symlinks in your home ? No. > Do you have network drives ? If yes how many ? Yes. Around 10 NFS mounts. > Is it reproducible under Wayland ? I can't answer that. > Do you use Arch as well ? With same version ? Yes, I am running Arch. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422312 Anna Medonosova changed: What|Removed |Added CC||anna.medonos...@gmail.com Ever confirmed|0 |1 Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED --- Comment #3 from Anna Medonosova --- I can confirm this bug on krita/4.3 branch, Android 10. I have also observed following behavior, which may be associated with this bug: A. embedded reference images are not shown on android B. data from vector layers created on android are missing from the kra files Ad B. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a document with a vector layer on android. 2. Draw something on the vector layer. Newly created shapes are visible. 3. Save and close the document. 4. Upon reopening the document, the vector shapes are gone. The resulting kra file lists the vector layer in the maindoc.xml, but the directory with the content.svg is missing completely. The preview, however, shows the vector shapes. I'm attaching example files. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[xdg-desktop-portal-kde] [Bug 422340] Portal FileChooser incorrectly handles mnemonics
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422340 --- Comment #2 from Michael Weghorn --- I have a potential fix at [1]. I did not submit a merge request right away, since that commit is on a branch [2] that has more changes for the FileChooser portal, and I think it makes sense to handle the underlying commits first to avoid merge conflicts in the merge requests. [xdg-desktop-portal-kde] [Bug 422340] New: Portal FileChooser incorrectly handles mnemonics
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422340 Bug ID: 422340 Summary: Portal FileChooser incorrectly handles mnemonics Product: xdg-desktop-portal-kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com Reporter: m.wegh...@posteo.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 128978 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=128978=edit Screenshot of the portal-native KF5 file save dialog used with simple-scan SUMMARY The FileChooser portal API for 'accept_label' parameter says: > accept_label s > > The label for the accept button. Mnemonic underlines are allowed. However, it seems like xdg-desktop-portal-kde does not properly handle this, but shows literal underscores instead of applying the mnemonics. This can be seen e.g. when using simple-scan (a Gtk application). For the "Save" button, the text "_Save" is shown instead (s. attached screenshot). I'll also attach a small sample Gtk application to reproduce. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. compile the attached sample Gtk application that sets the accept label to "S_ave & Done & Finished": gcc -g -O0 -o main_set_save_label $(shell pkg-config --cflags gtk+-3.0) main_set_save_label.cpp $(shell pkg-config --libs gtk+-3.0) 2. run it, using native KF5 file chooser via portal: GTK_USE_PORTAL=1 ./main_set_save_label 3. check the text shown for the confirmation button 4. Press Alt to see what character is being used for the mnemonic for the confirmation button 5. Press Alt+A to confirm (since the mnemonic was supposed to be set for the "a" in the label). OBSERVED RESULT at step 3: The text is "S_ave Done Finished" (with an extra underscore after the 's' and the literal ampersands having gone missing.) at step 4: The "S" is being underlined to indicate that it is the mnemonic. at step 5: An "a" is inserted in the file name box. EXPECTED RESULT at step 3: The text should be is "Save & Done & Finished" (without any extra underscore and containing 2 literal '&'s) at step 4: The "a" should be underlined to indicate that it is the mnemonic. at step 5: The dialog should close. Committed on 01/06/2020 at 15:20. Pushed by dfaure into branch 'master'. [kio_http] Parse a FullyEncoded QUrl path with TolerantMode When using url.setPath(otherUrl.path(FullyEncoded)), we have to specify the TolerantMode parsing mode (setPath uses DecodedMode by default), otherwise we end up with a doubly encoded url: otherUrl.path(FullyEncoded) would represent a space as %20 then url.setPath(otherUrl.path(FullyEncoded), DecodedMode) would represent the '%' character with '%25' so the path ends up with '%2520'. AFAIU, either we use: url.setPath(otherUrl.path(FullyDecoded), DecodedMode) OR url.setPath(otherUrl.path(FullyEncoded), TolerantMode) url.path() and url.setPath use FullyDecoded and DecodedMode by default, respectively. [kdenlive] [Bug 421939] Rendered video is black/white
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421939 --- Comment #3 from emohr --- It's difficult to say as you send not the original footage. I assume the smartphones record with variable bit rate and variable frame rate which leads in general to render issues. Workaround: Transcode clips and exchange it in the timeline. I assume you set on each clip in/out point. Click on each clip in the project bin -> right click in the clip monitor the clip –> either "Extract Zone" or "Insert Zone in Project bin" -> If you do latter you have to transcode with "ProRes 422 HQ". In both cases exchange this transcoded clips with the original in the timeline. Yes, this is a huge work. So start with the first clip getting white after rendering and test if it gets rendered. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 422242] Cannot read write tags to files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422242 --- Comment #5 from Mark Simon --- Sorry for the wasted effort. Examining the files with Preview Inspector I found the digikam "tags" in the IPTC data and the macOS "tags" are in a completely different metadata. This led me to this article https://prepression.blogspot.com/2016/08/metaconfusion-apple-finder-tags-vs-keyword-metadata.html that straightened me out. I don't know why Apple would not make the "common" tags available in the Finder. Then again Apple always likes to do their own thing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422030 --- Comment #7 from Don B.
