[LabPlot2] [Bug 427190] New: pinebook labplot2 inability to produce any fitting analysis and xy curve from a mathematical equation
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427190 Bug ID: 427190 Summary: pinebook labplot2 inability to produce any fitting analysis and xy curve from a mathematical equation Product: LabPlot2 Version: 2.8.0 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: alexander.se...@web.de Reporter: junaidi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In pinebook manjaro, updated to the latest stable updates, the inability to produce any fitting analysis and plotting xy curve from a mathematical equation shows that they both should stem from the same problem. Although during fitting, the log says that it was successful, there's no such fitting drawn on the graph of said data. This problem was repeated successfully each time. I've double check the dependencies on the file and double check with requirements on compiling labplot2, however did not try to compile it myself since i'm just a regular linux user and haven't dabbled with the deeper stuff. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. run labplot2 in pinebook 2. input any data from any dataset collection 3. plot the graph successfully 4. attempt to fit data linearly, realize that although fitting logs says that it was successful, there's nothing added to the graph. 5. attempt to create xy plot from mathematical equation, the input box remains red and the recalculate button remains greyed out, therefore impossible to plot. OBSERVED RESULT no fitting line and no xy curve from mathematical equation successfully drawn on graph EXPECTED RESULT fitting line and xy curve from mathematical equation drawn on graph, alongside raw data SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=407258 --- Comment #2 from Christian Gagneraud --- Hi, Is there any plan to merge clazy in clang-tidy? I don't have any plan to work on the issue #407258 unfortunately. As a user of both tools, i find clang-tidy to be easier to use and integrate (eg CI), for example run-clang-tidy allows to run checks in parallel, something that not even clazy-standalone provides. IMHO, merging clazy in clang-tidy would make the user happier and will lessen the maintenance and improvement (catching up with clang-tid) burden. [plasmashell] [Bug 425071] Option to show all notifications in fullscreen windows
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425071 --- Comment #6 from Alexander Popel --- Hmm, I just realized that there will be really annoying problem with such approach. As notification would be considered critical, it won't time out. This means that when I'm watching a video or a movie and receive a notification that I don't need to react to immediately, it won't go away by itself. I'll have to reach to my mouse and close it manually which is really inconvenient. Guess the fix won't be this simple :( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427183 Bug ID: 427183 Summary: Use database (and thumbs) for 'volatile' local storage (like a git-annex repository) Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Database-Sqlite Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: a...@disroot.org Target Milestone: --- Dear digiKam-team, thanks a lot for your work on digiKam - it's an awesome piece of software! Never the less I'd love an additional feature to be implemented (or maybe it is and I just wasn't able to find it - in this case please point me to a how-to). SUMMARY I have a lot of images. I have them inside a git-annex repository (see https://git-annex.branchable.com/) which allows me to back them up easily and at the same time keep the links and the structure inside my folder system, since git-annex allows to replace actual binary files (read: images) with symlinks to an empty file (the concept is strange, but extremely powerful, see e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgVXg0eRws4). When using digiKam and the images are there, everything works fine. But as soon as I replace the images with symlinks, I'm no longer able to see my image thumbnails - and I assume that this should be possible since the thumbnails are stored within the SQlite database. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. point a 'local collection' to a git-annex repository 2. remove the local files (so that only the symlinks are kept) 3. open digiKam OBSERVED RESULT The files are missing from the collection. EXPECTED RESULT The thumbnails should be available (since they are stored in the local database. [kdevelop] [Bug 427050] The classes toolview does not work--no classes displayed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427050 Francis Herne changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDSINFO |RESOLVED Resolution|WAITINGFORINFO |NOT A BUG --- Comment #7 from Francis Herne --- Thank you for the detailed explanation, now I see what's happened. Also, it's a documentation (or at least a don't-use-it-that-way) issue. :D When you create the new project 'ex', it creates a new directory `test/ex/` as the project root. Because `test/junk.cpp` is outside that directory, it isn't part of the project. The "Classes" view only shows classes from open projects (my last comment "there's no case where..." was wrong...), so doesn't show those from `junk.cpp`. If you want to import a project with existing files, you shouldn't use "New from Template". Instead use "Open/Import Project" and select the existing directory -- if the buildsystem isn't supported, there will be a 'Custom Build System' option where you can enter the relevant configure/build commands manually. Resolving as no immediate bug -- we might want to consider adding classes from open non-project files to the toolview, and/or making sure the manual is clear. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdevelop] [Bug 427050] The classes toolview does not work--no classes displayed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427050 --- Comment #6 from kdbase-kde...@yahoo.com --- I have reproduced the problem. I'll explain how here, and then I'll explain how it happened to me. 1. Create a new directory, for example 'test'. 2. Copy the file 'junk.cpp' into the directory. I just tried uploading the file as an attachment, but I'm not sure it uploaded it correctly. Since the file is short, I'll place the contents here: --- // Sample file #include struct junk { long a; double b; junk() { a = 2; b = 3.5; } void out() const { std::cout << "a = " << a << ", b = " << b << '\n'; } }; int main() { junk j0; j0.out(); j0.b *= 3; j0.out(); return 0; } --- 3. Open kdevelop. From the menu bar, choose 'New from Template...' under 'Project'. Choose 'Standard' Category, 'Empty' Project Type. You can probably place the project anywhere, but I chose to place it in the test/ directory. I named the project 'ex'. 4. Open the newly created project 'ex'. It contains no files. Using the 'File System' tab on the left, or maybe using the 'File' menu, open the file 'junk.cpp'. 5. This re-creates the problem. The junk.cpp file is in the editor. If you click on the Classes tab, the junk struct is not present. Within the editor, however, you can access the information about variables and objects. For example, you can hover over the 'out' on line 20, or the 'b' on line 21. At least, this is the behavior I observe. How did this happen to me? In my case, I had an existing project that used meson. At first, as Francis guessed, kdevelop did not support meson. When it was added later, I couldn't figure out how to use it, although I didn't try very hard. There was (and is, I think) no template to create a new meson project, so I chose the Empty Project Type and added the source files afterwards. I hope this is clear. Please let me know if you have questions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
