[plasmashell] [Bug 413203] Some notifications don't disappear after timeout
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413203 --- Comment #4 from Nick Cross --- I'm added a comment on here , although I think either this or bug 369041 should be marked as duplicate. I am seeing this as well. Info Center gives: Operating System: Fedora 33 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.9.10-200.fc33.x86_64 OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-8650U CPU @ 1.90GHz Memory: 23.1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 Its not consistent , if I clear all notifications sometimes things sent with timeout do go away, sometimes things get stuck and then they all pile up. This even happens with kdialog with --passivepopup 3 If I clear all notifications, then e.g. "/usr/bin/kdialog --passivepopup "%subject from %sendername" 3" works again and messages stop piling up. I do wonder if its Firefox google chat pinned tab that is not timing out that then causes everything to pile up behind it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Looks like Fedora shipped an up-to-date Frameworks version with an old Plasma version, which is supported, but causes this issue. I didn't anticipate such a combination when I wrote the feature. Sorry about that. In Plasma 5.20--which I believe Fedora 33 has--you will be able to disable the "remember window positions" feature from a GUI checkbox on that same page. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429830 --- Comment #2 from Mina <842m...@gmail.com> --- Thanks for responding. I think it's not reproducible on your machine in this case. It should be clear enough. Sometimes, the first moment you click the button, the sound just stops for some milliseconds, then it resumes with choppiness or crackling. This should be clear. I thought I'd make a screen recording and try to capture this issue. When I'm recording the screen I can experience the issue, but when I check the video I've recorded, it doesn't have the issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 429872] New: JOSM subwindows are not updated after being reopened
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=429872 Bug ID: 429872 Summary: JOSM subwindows are not updated after being reopened Product: kwin Version: 5.20.2 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tg...@tutanota.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In JOSM (Java OpenStreetMap editor), there are several subwindows that are opened when performing actions like downloading or uploading map data. These windows work properly the first time they are opened, but every subsequent time, the window's contents are not updated when they are opened. Interacting with a widget in the subwindow, like scrolling in a listbox or panning a map, will cause that widget to be updated. Resizing the subwindow will cause all of it's contents to be updated. This only occurs in Kwin (X11), even with the compositor disabled. I've tried Gnome & LXQt, but the issue doesn't occur for either. Haven't tried Kwin on Wayland. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open JOSM & add an imagery layer so you know where the camera is (Imagery > OSM Carto) 2. click File > Download Data - a subwindow with slippy map opens with the view of the main window selected 3. click Cancel button to close subwindow, move the camera in the main window, then reopen it OBSERVED RESULT It is only updated after performing an action that causes the subwindow to be redrawn, such as panning, zooming, or selecting an area in the slippy map, or resizing the subwindow. EXPECTED RESULT The slippy map should be updated to show the new camera location when reopened. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Possibly related to #380389 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
