OK, I've tried this now a few times and it seems that it does not always behave
that way, only under some circumstances as it seems. But what I can report is
that it definitely says Disks & Devices at the top.

My observations:
1. Plug in disk
2. The device notifier symbol in the systray turns into a blue exclamation mark
(just like a notification) while the Disks & Devices dialog appears
3. I hover the mouse over it (even with the focus highlight for some of the
items in the dialog being activated) but after some 5 seconds the exclamation
mark changes back to the original icon again with the dialog disappearing
4. Unplug-replug
5. The dialog appears, this time I click into it, and it stays
7. Focus to browser via mouse, the dialog disappears (good)
6. Unplug-replug
7. The dialog appears it stays again without any interaction from my side
8. Task switch via Alt+Tab
9. Unplug-replug
10. Dialog shows but disappears again after some time

To sum up: having given focus to the dialog seems to initiate a state that has
it staying open while a task switch using Alt+Tab seems to reset the behavior
to a disappearing dialog.

Difference between Dolphin & Firefox menus

SUMMARY
Context menus and menu bar menus have large spacing gaps between items. This is
observed on both Firefox/Thunderbird.

This was a change with the new Plasma 5.21. I believe it was an issue with the
beta too, I just didn't have time to properly report it.

Solved either by updating, restarting, using qt5ct as recommended
here(https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=256971) or some mixture of
those things.

I use the Deepin terminal and probably some other things.

What I don't understand is why Krita would even need to be interacting with
Deepin at all?

I think it's valid to mention the Wayland build in this issue. In fact you can
try compiling it from source. In my experience, it works well for some
applications but there were KDE specific bugs for others.

However, I also noted KDE specific bugs with Xwayland Wine, so it's possible
that the drag bug you report here is also KDE specific.

Have you tried if the Xwayland drag works on Gnome Wayland session or
Weston?

In Plasma 5.21, my Device Notifier popup never closes on its own after a new
device is plugged in. I don't see any timer in the code that would
automatically close it after some interval either.

Can you please confirm whether you're talking about the Device Notifier applet
(big, square, attached to your panel, says "Disks & Devices" in the title) or
about Plasma Notifications (rectangular, free-floating, countdown timer circle
in the top-right corner)? Thanks!

That's because it's not implemented as an inactive window effect.

If you prefer no color differences between focus active and inactive windows,
you can change the color scheme's active and inactive header colors to be the
exact same. Same as setting the active and inactive titlebar colors to be the
same with a color scheme that doesn't have Header colors, like old Breeze.

kio-fuse is installed, yes.
I'm sorry - a was too hasty to report this issue. It's more complicated.

1) This time I didn't reduce protocol level for SMB, which I always did
previously to use the ability to browse shared folders.
Now I just used Network->add networt folder -> Microsoft Windows Network Drive.

2) I have a few mp4 and mkv files on shared folders. Most of them with x264
encoding. SMPlayer is unable to open any of them over network.
All of them could be opened by SMPlayer from the local drive.

3) VLC opens SOME video files. It seems that it is able to open a file which is
up to 12-15 MB in size. It does not open 20MB files and larger.

I have this same problem on Arch Linux with Plasma in the most current version
(5.21.1). In fact, this is a very old problem especially in the Wayland
session. In the X-Org session, accents in Brazilian Portuguese work normally.
Wayland is very complicated. The accents just don't work and even trying to use
the automatic corrections from LibreOffice or Calligra, it still doesn't work.
I count on the goodwill of the devs of this "Komunity" that I like a lot and I
identify myself too much. But I confess that this is a problem that is
affecting a lot the use of Brazilians with Plasma.

In my case, that file doesn't exist, only "avfilter_selectivecolor.xml", so
issue must be not present in latest version.

In my distro, I needed to install manually kio-fuse ... is installed by default
in Neon?

Installed recently KDE Neon User Edition to check Plasma 5.21
Tried to play video over LAN.
Neither VLC nor SMP works.

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL
'smb://192.168.100.100/CamVideo/CAM01/2021-02-25/cam1_2021-02-25_23-05-59.mkv'.
Check the log for details.

There is nothing else in LOG. I am able to copy this file using Dolphin and

So, something like this would be possible?

I've enabled the "Settings / Configure digiKam / Metadata / Baloo" options:

Store metadata from digiKam in Baloo
Read metadata from Baloo 

and selected, under "Behaviour / Write this information to the Metadata":

Image Tags
Captions and title
Rating 

Then if I have an image with extended attributes, as listed by getfattr:

and run digiKam, I should be able to see these?

I can reproduce this by hitting Ctrl+Z while in "Show Desktop" mode. So KIO
crashes, but it's triggered by Plasma, which shouldn't handle the undo shortcut
while in Show Desktop mode. The backtrace the same. The action seems to be

--replace --reverse` doesn't have this negative effect for me. Everything looks

Hmm. It seems that my crash had a different cause that was not related to your
file.

Do you remember what you changed the last time it worked? Any action that maybe
corrupted the project (like change of the profile, import of a new clip,…)?
