Thanks Maik!

This is extremely helpful and exactly what I was looking for.

The Insta360 X2 can record in different formats. If you record in the highest
5.7k resolution it creates 2 files, each covering 180 degrees view. In the
lower 4k resolution you get one file with a mirrored view (see attachment).

Confirmed with Kate 21.04.0 intalled via the MS Store on June 25, 2021.

The origin of this bug is similar to that of
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425136 . However, it seems that when kate
is installed through the MS Store, the kate binary is launched directly which
means the working directory cannot be set to the home directory.

FWIW, the same thing happens with e.g. Okular, but Kile does not have this bug
since it uses the home folder as an explicit default/fallback location
(https://github.com/KDE/kile/blob/3e727f38dcb2ddc111bdc76b07b45c57919f96af/src/widgets/filebrowserwidget.cpp#L60).

2021-06-25 Thread bugzilla_noreply

Bug ID: 439170
Summary: Allow custom Y data range to exceed min/max signed
32-bit integer
   Product: plasma-systemmonitor
   Version: 5.22.2
  Platform: Archlinux Packages

  Target Milestone: ---

Currently when setting a custom Y data range in System Monitor, the maximum
allowed is 2^32-1. Setting any value above this either will not enter or lop
back to -2^31+1. Problem is, a lot of values (eg. RAM usage) exceed this number
(for context, this would be about 2GB, which is not a lot).

This is somewhat similar to Bug 434628 but in this case involving large numbers
instead of small ones.

manually create ~/.config/autostart and put desktop file in it, the program can
autostart with KDE.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

[systemsettings] [Bug 416140] Sub-pixel font rendering shows "RGB" in the KCM, but is not actually applied

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416140

"Hinting" affects whether characters are reshaped to fit the pixel grid, and
does not affect color fringing. "Sub-pixel rendering" affects whether colors
are used to represent sub-pixel detail. What is the value of "Sub-pixel
rendering", and do colors appear when you set it to RGB (or alternatively set
it to something else and back to RGB)?

[kolourpaint] [Bug 439168] New: Text is always anti-aliased, even with "Draw anti-aliased" disabled

2021-06-25 Thread flarn2006
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439168

Bug ID: 439168
Summary: Text is always anti-aliased, even with "Draw
anti-aliased" disabled
   Product: kolourpaint
   Version: 21.04.1
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kolourpaint-supp...@lists.sourceforge.net
  Reporter: flarn2...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I have "Draw anti-aliased" turned off, and for the most part, this works fine.
However, when I use the Text tool, the text is still anti-aliased.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the Settings menu, and turn off "Draw anti-aliased" if it's not already
off.
2. Select a font that is capable of anti-aliasing if necessary.
3. Type some text.

OBSERVED RESULT
The text appears anti-aliased.

EXPECTED RESULT
The text should appear without anti-aliasing.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: 5.12.8-arch1-1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Since a user is more likely to want text anti-aliased than other tools, I think
there should be a separate option in that menu for text, so users won't need to
turn it on and back off every time they want to draw text.

Thank you Tiar.

I can confirm the tags are translated when 5.0 starts from a clean
installation. However, they do not become translated when upgrading from 4.4.5
to 5.0.

The only resource names that have translatable strings are:
- Palette (default, gradient)
- Gradient (FG to BG, FG to Transparent)
Those names have been existed and translated at least since 3 years ago.
However, for some reason, only the ones in () are currently used.

No other resource name has a translatable strings. I thought Krita 5.0 would
allow us to have translated brushes and such. Wasn't it the case?

[plasmashell] [Bug 439143] Option to dump clipboard history to text file?

2021-06-25 Thread Dashon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439143

I found a way to do it after really getting into it with the tr command and
reading some forums. It isn't exactly pretty, but it works. There are some
prepended special characters that I can't seem to perfectly remove just yet.

Here is the command that I'm using to dump the clipboard currently. It could
definitely be refined a bit more:

tr -cd '\11\12\15\40-\176' < /home/d-air1/.local/share/klipper/history2.lst |
cut -c 10- | sed 's/string/\n /g' | cut -c 2- | sed 's/[(*&$.,: "]//'

[amarok] [Bug 438651] Amarok stalls if the Previous Track button is pressed but the file not longer exists

2021-06-25 Thread Pedro de Carvalho Gomes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438651

--- Comment #6 from Pedro de Carvalho Gomes ---
I fixed the problem for Non-linear playlists as well.

Answering your question at the older Merger Request, m_model->trackAt(nextItem)
returns a track by its row. That is, its position at the playlist. But here we
should use m_model->trackById(nextItem) which returns a track by its ID, which
is the info stored at m_historyItems

I have fixed NonlinearTrackNavigator::requestLastTrack(), and now it scans till
it finds a playable track in history. I'm considering to do the same for
likelyLastTrack(), which is used to preview the "prev" track to be played. I
just have to think about some use case, such as the file was temporarily
removed (network filesystem, for example), than reappeared

[krita] [Bug 438470] Color Palette Docker loads nothing by default on non-English locales

2021-06-25 Thread Tiar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438470

Git commit c75e336c15b4855c38f7a67ebdab67ba5d56926d by Agata Cacko.
Committed on 25/06/2021 at 21:25.
Pushed by tymond into branch 'master'.

Find default tag for popup palette

Before this commit, the code would use an old method
to get the tag it wanted, and it wouldn't have a way
to get the default tag (My Favourities) for non-English
systems. Because user strings cannot be changed for now,
this commit includes a hack that tries to find first tag
with star in in, assuming it's the Favourities tag.

The easiest fix here I suspect would be to replace svn.bat with a kshim based
svn.exe?

(Note: I worked around this limitation in the Krita builds, as we use Craft to
supply SVN there too)

[Craft] [Bug 439166] New: CMake fails to detect craft-provided svn on Windows

2021-06-25 Thread Dawid Wróbel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439166

Bug ID: 439166
Summary: CMake fails to detect craft-provided svn on Windows
   Product: Craft
   Version: stable
  Platform: Other
OS: Other
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Blueprints
  Assignee: vonr...@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@dawidwrobel.com
CC: kde-wind...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Despite adding self.buildDependencies["dev-utils/subversion"] to the blueprint,
CMake's FindSubversion fails to detect the svn.exe executable. This is because
the blueprint itself provides svn as a batch file (svn.bat) by copying it to
dev-utils\bin\svn.bat, however, the FindSubversion macro looks for
svn|svn.com|svn.exe, but not svn.bat

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create CMakeLists.txt with following content:
cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 3.19)
project(FindPackageTest)

find_package(Subversion 1.4 REQUIRED)
2. run using
cmake -D CMAKE_FIND_DEBUG_MODE=ON .

OBSERVED RESULT
Could NOT find Subversion (missing: Subversion_SVN_EXECUTABLE) (Required is at
least version "1.4")

EXPECTED RESULT
Svn should be found

digiKam knows a variety of Mime types. If you have an exotic format like this
one, then you can add the "insv" type in the digiKam settings under View-> Mime
types under Video. digiKam scans the collection again and you see a thumbnail.
The video (I downloaded a sample from the web) is even played. The video does
not seem to contain any information about the orientation because even ExifTool
does not show anything that could be an orientation. The video can be rotated
with the right mouse button in play mode.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439163

Bug ID: 439163
Summary: There is no way to search from two or more locations
at once
   Product: dolphin
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: search
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: bugsefor...@gmx.com

SUMMARY
I use 3 hard disks and each has a partition where I only store personal data.
Sometimes I want to search for something from 2 or more of these partitions at
once, but currently Dolphin is unable to do it.

EXPECTED RESULT
Dolphin should be able to search from two or more locations at once.

@Tyson, currently the way to get translated tags is to make sure that when the
database is created, the Krita's language matches the language you want your
tags in. Can you please confirm on your system that that's the case? And
possibly, but not necessarily, for the resources too?

PS. If I copy and paste some of the translatable strings from other parts of
the code, does it break the string freeze, or can I do it safely?

in this screenshot, i disabled in Dialog all the rendering, the only thing that
gets rendered is the blurbehind/contrast kwin effects.

you can see that on on there only the top left corner is rounded, while the
others not, which cause the problem.
i suspect that the mask gets scaled 2x by kwin, having the final result scaled
4x instead.

same thing happens for the shadows themselves, so they always look slightly
more pixelated than needed

Hi,
I tried to setup my usual layout of docker in Krita 5 and I saw Krita 5
couldn't reproduce the column of preset as I'm using on Krita 4 without having
a gutter gap on the right. (See attachement for a visual).

As a workaround, I can expand manually to larger icons to fill the gap, but it
result in less preset visible vertically for me.

That's why I do the resquest of being possible to shrink the docket a little
bit more horyzontaly if possible. Thank you :)

[Spectacle] [Bug 439089] Unable to take "Rectangular Region" screenshot on Wayland

2021-06-25 Thread 0x1a8510f2
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439089

--- Comment #2 from 0x1a8510f2 <0x1a-kde@0x1a8510f2.space> ---
In terms of settings, within Spectacle I remember changing some, but I can't
remember which, settings. My current settings are as follows (where not
mentioned options are disabled):

After taking screenshot: Copy image to clipboard
Press screenshot key to: Take a new screenshot
Rectangular region/general: Accept on click-and-release
Remember selected area: Never

Outside of Spectacle, I've changed plenty of settings. None of them seem
relevant though.

As for it being an openSUSE issue, that's quite possible, since I know openSUSE
changes some of the Wayland config to split login options to Wayland and Full
Wayland. I'm using "Wayland" currently and haven't tested on "Full Wayland". Do
you think this would be better suited for the openSUSE bugtracker?

This is not an issue in xdg-desktop-portal-kde:

1) You use Ubuntu (GNOME), therefore you use xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
2) This has been fixed in Qt, however, there is still some issue in GTK
probably as I could reproduce this with GTK apps

[xdg-desktop-portal-kde] [Bug 437911] xdg-desktop-portal-kde high CPU usage on login

2021-06-25 Thread Lyubomir
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=437911

Ha, i guess this is one of those crashes i filed which are not due to memory
segmentation but because i sent signal 11 from htop to the process
xdg-desktop-portal-kde. I did this so you can see that the callstack was when
it had high CPU usage. I believe there is another bug for the high CPU usage so
i've already stopped reporting these crashes.

On the other hand, the high CPU usage from xdg-desktop-portal-kde still does
appear after each login with Plasma 5.22. I believe this issue with high CPU
started way back in 5.21.4.
I'm feeling sorry for all the users on Kubuntu 21.04 who still seem to be with
5.21.4 with no backport for them in the official Kubuntu archives.
I'm using the kubuntu beta/backport ppa exactly because i was told 5.22 fixes
these.

I believe this can be closed.

1) Xdg-desktop-portal-kde shouldn't be used in GNOME.
2) We limited many portals not to run outside KDE sessions as they are tied to
KWin or other KDE specific apps/services.

Even if we enable new connections for all users, we still default to store
secrets into KWallet (obviously for security reasons) so only the current user
will have passwords to created connections.

With this scenario I don't see a benefit in changing the default.

[krita] [Bug 439156] New: Diagonal lines produce aliasing at certain zoom level

2021-06-25 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=439156

Bug ID: 439156
Summary: Diagonal lines produce aliasing at certain zoom level
   Product: krita
Version: nightly build (please specify the git hash!)
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: OpenGL Canvas
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: thequ...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 139660
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=139660=edit
The scale of example images is original (as on monitor)

SUMMARY
Images display incorrectly at certain zoom levels

The bug persists in Krita 4.4.3, krita-nightly-x64-5.0.0-prealpha-583a1a7a36
nightly build and also other builds that I've tested

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a 128x128px image
2. Draw a sharp diagonal line
3. Set zoom to 282% (or 282.8% by default)
4. You can see as line distorts at this zoom level
(My display resolution is 1366x768 if it matters to reproducing)

OBSERVED RESULT
See an attachment

EXPECTED RESULT
The line displayed without aliasing

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Sometimes you can see this effect on different zoom levels (for example at
66.7% zoom)
Panning the canvas doesn't change aliasing pattern
Disabling hardware acceleration or switching Angle to OpenGl doesn't affect the
bug
