[kmymoney] [Bug 445721] AqBanking crash while Setting up American Express Account

2021-11-18 Thread Thomas Baumgart

Thomas Baumgart changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|REPORTED|NEEDSINFO
 Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO

Even though you experience this problem when using KMyMoney as the application,
the crash is caused by the AqBanking/Gwenhywfar libraries underneath. The setup
wizard is simply called by KMyMoney and does its thing. So I am sorry to say
that this looks more like an upstream (Gwenhywfar) problem.

Which version of AqBanking / Gwenhywfar do you use? When starting KMyMoney from
a console, you can see something like the following (among other output):

   Loading "/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kmymoney/kbanking.so"
"Plugins: kbanking loaded, build with (5.7.4stable-0/6.4.0.0stable), run
with (5.7.4.0/6.4.0.0)"
   7:2021-11-19 08:45:13:aqbanking started

Possible workaround: did you try to use the 'ofximporter' instead of 'kbanking'
when setting up the mapping of the account? This contains an independent
implementation of the OFX access.

In both cases a signal spy says it has not got the expected signal in the given
timeframe. Can you increase these timeouts and see if that helps (scan for the
first "Loc:" line in both outputs). It could be that gpg is just slower,
because of some changes or just because it is a debug version.

Change null strings to empty in CacheDb queries

Before this commit, CacheDb queries could sometimes
fail because the string supplied was null instead of empty
(most common in storages, where an empty string indicates
the resource folder).
Null strings in queries cause issues because comparison with a null
is always string.

This commit ensures that null strings are converted to empty strings
before being used in in WHERE part in an sql query.

2021-11-18 Thread James Beddek
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445734

Bug ID: 445734
Summary: kalarmcal: KADateTimeTest test failure without TZ=UTC
   Product: kalarmcal
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: tel...@posteo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY:
Building/running the test suite with TZ=Pacific/Auckland results in the
KADateTimeTest test failing with a suspiciously odd failure. Running with
TZ=UTC allows the test to pass

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Run with TZ=Pacific/Auckland, observe failure as below
2. Run with TZ=UTC, observe tests are successful

OBSERVED RESULT:
FAIL! : KADateTimeTest::constructors() Compared values are not the same
   Actual   (datetimeL.qDateTime()): 2001/02/13 03:45:14.000[PST]
   Expected (dtLocal) : 2001/02/13 03:45:14.000[PST]
   Loc:
[/var/tmp/portage/kde-apps/kalarmcal-21.08.3/work/kalarmcal-21.08.3/autotests/kadatetimetest.cpp(331)]

As far as I can tell the results are the exact same.

EXPECTED RESULT:
Test passes.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Gentoo ~amd64
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.88.0

Seems it's not about default/non-default hotkey. When I change the hotkey to
Meta-Q and reboot, pressing Meta-Q twice works. Then I change the hotkey back
to the default Ctrl-Meta-D, then pressing Ctrl-Meta-D twice doesn't work.

If you have a patch for that, it would be very welcome as a merge request here:
https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/merge_requests . For now, since it's
very understandable that Krita takes quite a long time for such a big amount of
data to load, (note that it doesn't need to just show it but allow you to edit
it - I don't think you can edit pixels for every frame in Blender... though I
might be wrong. In any case Blender has much more programmers than us, it's a
much bigger project, so it's uderstandable that it's also more performant).

---
Also, a note for the next time: one bug report should be about one issue.
Otherwise there are multiple conversations going on about different topics and
it's more difficult for a programmer to see what the issue is/are or when to
close the report (bug reports are very development-oriented, it's our place to
organize work on Krita, so it's important to us to keep it in order). It's
completely fine (even strongly encouraged) to create a three bug reports at the
same time, if you have three issues to report. Bug reports are more like a
register of all issues instead of a forum thread, it's for example very common
for a bug report to wait undefined amount of time without any interaction until
finally someone gets to work on it and makes another comment or closes the
report with a commit hash.

Thank you, I understood the meaning of 'skip' now. Just my two cents, there
appears to be a need for first and last keyframe access, can user hold down a
modifier key (say Ctrl/Alt etc) when pressing on those 'Skip' to jump to frame
0 or to the last keyframe if 'Forward'

The "skip forward" button will jump to the next available keyframe on the
active layer.
As such, if a keyframe exists on every available frame (on 1s, in animation
talk), both the next/skip forward buttons will appear to do the same thing.
As of now, if there are no keyframes on the active layer, nothing happens when
you when you hit the skip buttons.
We could probably still do something useful in that edge case, but I believe
the buttons are working as they should.

If things are not working as you expect, it's probably that you have the wrong
layer active.

Anyway, if this bug is something that can no longer be reproduced, I'm going to
close this report for now.
Thanks all.

Instead of /tmp/mozilla* if we could see that it's in a Firefox temp directory,
we could therefore determine that it's a "Firefox Download" and use that
instead, nicer for user than some random tmp dir that most users won't even
understand.

Second, is the app name. It shows the org.kde.Tok name, the pretty name could
potentially be extracted from the .flatpak file and displayed instead.

If both were implemented it could show something along the lines of
"Authentication is required to install Tok from Firefox Downloads."

[krita] [Bug 445731] New: Free Transform Tool Rotation in erratic angles

2021-11-18 Thread Scroptels Gluzar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445731

Bug ID: 445731
Summary: Free Transform Tool Rotation in erratic angles
   Product: krita
   Version: 5.0.0-beta2
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Tools/Transform
  Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: scroptel...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

This is a bug of the free transformation tool of krita, one of the modes found
in the transform tool options.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In a new layer paint some lines or dots
2. select the transform tool with the free transformation mode on
3. click outside the area of the transformation box and drag the mouse around
the object to rotate clockwise/counterclockwise.
4. repeat the last step multiple times in different spots around the object's
pivot point (left, right, top, bottom, top left, bottom right etc.)
Aditionally scaling the object and/or moving it's pivot before rotating around
will cause more extreme erratic behaviours

OBSERVED RESULT
We can use the tool options docker and checking the rotation option on the list
to observe what is happening more easily.

Depending on the initial position where the user started rotating the object
(right side, left side, etc.) the object may rotate normally until reaching a
specific degree of rotation, if the user continues to rotate the object beyond
that number the object will rotate 180 degrees on itself, after that it will
start rotating in the opposite direction to that of the user's intention until
coming back to the specific degree of rotation where this visual error ocurred,
after this rotation will resume to normal. This behavior will repeat if the
user continues to rotate the object.

Aditionally if the object is scaled around the x or y axis and then the user
performs the previous action, the behaviour of the tool will be more erratic,
rotating small amounts and then fliping around suddenly.

This bug also makes it so If the pivot point of the object is moved the object
will not rotate in a full 360° degrees, skipping suddenly to another value.

Other observations:
This bug is not present in any of the other transformation modes of the tool.
The bug seems related to the size of the transformation in the tool, but the
type (pixel or vector selections) and form of the selection, or if it's
transforming multple selections doesn't affect it
Rotating the object on the x or y axis with the mouse also shows some weird
behaviours (but that may be unrelated to this bug idk)

EXPECTED RESULT
The user should be able to rotate a selected region on the canvas in 360
degrees of rotation following the user's cursor using the free transformation
tool, unaffected by any changes in scale.

[krita] [Bug 445561] Krita 5 16bit integer colorspace canvas rendering is broken on M1

git bisect shows the bug is introduced by dmitry and my openGL texture buffered
patch. It only happens in arm64 apple silicon computers, trough Rosetta and
running native. Bisect could not be precise as intermediate states of the MR
shown no canvas.

Below is the result of the bisect, I attached a note on the skipped commits.

There are only 'skip'ped commits left to test.
The first bad commit could be any of:

[tellico] [Bug 445730] New: issues with webp images

2021-11-18 Thread mark
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445730

Bug ID: 445730
   Summary: issues with webp images
   Product: tellico
   Version: 3.4.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: ro...@periapsis.org
  Reporter: m...@markpreston.me
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
I have a comic collection and save images from https://marvel.fandom.com. most
are still jpgs but a newer format webp is becoming more common on here and
tellico doesn't always display this image type correctly.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create a comic entry
2. in a browser "save image as" from one of the images on this page:
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Strange_Academy_Vol_1
3. load the image into the comic entry.

OBSERVED RESULT
When on the main page and you select the comic with a webp image it will not
display in the entry details.
But if you "edit" the entry then you can see the image.
Also in reports with images they will not display in tellico but if you save it
as HTML report and open in
a browser it is fine.

EXPECTED RESULT
should be able to display webp images along with jpg images

[xdg-desktop-portal-kde] [Bug 445728] New: Incompatibility with OBS

2021-11-18 Thread Todd Lange
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=445728

Bug ID: 445728
   Summary: Incompatibility with OBS
   Product: xdg-desktop-portal-kde
   Version: 5.23.3
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: toddlang...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I was running into an issue with OBS where the screen/window capture options
just wouldn't show up. I did some more investigation and found that it depends
on xdg-desktop-portal. When I check on the service after running OBS it crashes
with a segfault. I go into more detail, and provide hardware/software
information in [this forum
post](https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=225=173254). I'd like to provide
more debugging information, but all the pages I can find talk about debugging
applications, not necessarily services.

I was referred here by a support volunteer in the OBS community discord.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. `systemctl --user status xdg-desktop-portal` - should be functioning
normally
2. `obs` - open up OBS
3. `systemctl --user status xdg-desktop-portal` - segfault, implying OBS caused
it in some way.

OBSERVED RESULT
Crashing on OBS startup resulting in missing screen/window capture options.

EXPECTED RESULT
OBS working as intended

I confirm this bug in OpenSuSE 15.2 using version 20.04.2 of Gwenview. When
using Gwenview of a folder containing a large number of images, I can use
KSysGuard or top/htop to monitor memory usage by Gwenview. Even when not
changing images shown by Gwenview there is a memory leak going on, and I do
not observe any memory being returned to the free list. Eventually the system
responses slows down until the system is no longer usable and locks up. Only
remedy is to perform a hard reset/reboot.

I have also noticed that if I can close Gwenview before the system locks up,
that after Gwenview closes the system responses to interactions with the
desktop remain sluggish.

If this has been fixed in a later version of Gwenview, please report what
version has the fix before closing this bug report.

Can confirm, Wayland only. What seems to be happening is that KWin is
positioning part of the window out of view to honor the user's tiling
preference, instead of scaling down the window below its minimum size, as it
does on X11.

Scaling below the window's minimum size as the *potential* to beak the window,
but positioning is partly off screen guarantees it, so I think this behavior is
a regression compares to what it does on X11.

Rust reproducer

I've written a tiny program that reproduces the problem.
- I compiled with Rust 1.56.1 with `rustc -g a.rs`.
- I ran DHAT with `vg-in-place --tool=dhat --dhat-out-file=dhout ./a`.
- I viewed `dhout` with `dh_view.html`.

Trunk Valgrind has a first PP like this:

focused visual state improperly triggered in window elements

QtWidget app window top elements(titlebar, menubar, toolbar) visual bug when
unfocused and engaging it to focused mode by triggering the menu bar.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have unfocused qtwidget based window;
2. Interact with window by triggering an event with a menubar item such as
clicking;

OBSERVED RESULT
The darker top area of the window, as according to the new style, that involves
the titlebar, menubar, and toolbar, will not follow the visual change from
unfocused to focused state, only the exact menubar item and afterwards any
other item on the bar that is selected.

EXPECTED RESULT
The new style involving top window elements shows the visual alteration from
unfocused to focused state regardless of what area of the window is interacted
with.

The Rust compiler currently sometimes generates symbols with a
`.llvm.` suffix. These violate the v0 spec, which doesn't allow '.'
chars, and the libiberty/Valgrind demangler doesn't demangle them. It's a
problem that needs to be fixed on the Rust side.
