[konsole] [Bug 312664] add option to snap window size to integer characters
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312664 --- Comment #9 from forestbeasts --- gnome-terminal just doesn't have a setting for it, and always snaps. Huh, didn't think about different profiles in one window... /that/ complicates things. gnome-terminal doesn't look like it even has splits. If we still used Mac, I'd look to see what Terminal.app and iTerm2 did, although I bet they only had one profile per window. Would snapping to the grid of /any/ of the current fonts combined work (so e.g. if you have a 12px-tall font and a 15px-tall font it'd snap to both the 12px and the 15px grid "lines")? Although, no that doesn't really fit with the window manager side of things going on an increment. Maybe just the largest font in the window, or the smallest, using the current non-snapping alignment behavior for other-profile splits. -- Frost -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[KScreen] [Bug 449906] A monitor keeps power-cycling and disconnecting upon login
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449906 --- Comment #22 from Zamundaaa --- I had a good look at the logs and it doesn't seem like KWin ever updates outputs after startup, it never sets the CRTC ID of anything to 0, link-status is always good and both outputs get presentation events pretty much without interruption. In other words, according to those logs both outputs stay enabled the whole time and everything is working fine. Parts of the log are missing all information for some reason though, maybe all the problems are hiding in there... As this only appeared with 5.24 and this sounds vaguely like it could be related to bandwidth issues of some sort, could you try running KWin with the environment variable "KWIN_DRM_PREFER_COLOR_DEPTH=24" set? Trying "KWIN_DRM_USE_MODIFIERS=1" could also be worth a shot -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kcontacts] [Bug 446665] Cannot set Addressee birthday from QML (e.g., from plasma-phonebook)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446665 Kevin Kofler changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |FIXED Latest Commit||https://invent.kde.org/fram ||eworks/kcontacts/commit/8b4 ||ba9c0ed465ded679e626071feeb ||e8aabe481c Status|ASSIGNED|RESOLVED --- Comment #5 from Kevin Kofler --- Git commit 8b4ba9c0ed465ded679e626071feebe8aabe481c by Kevin Kofler. Committed on 30/03/2022 at 23:03. Pushed by kkofler into branch 'master'. Addressee: make birthday writable from QML Add a private Addressee::setBirthdayProperty(const QDateTime &) wrapper method that guesses the extra withTime argument and use that as the WRITE method for the Q_PROPERTY birthday. A non-midnight time spec will lead to the birthday being recorded with the time, a time spec exactly at midnight to a date-only birthday (the common case). This is the best we can do for a property setter. This should make setting the birthday in Plasma Phonebook work again. (It last worked when Plasma Phonebook had its own QML wrapper for the Addressee class, which has been dropped since.) Fact is that the log tells me that solving works fine and is completed but the spinner rotates without ending. Using online astrometry works fine: the spinner is becoming a check mark and the 1 is showing up in the cross section. Maybe you could at least tell me the where << [org.kde.kstars.indi] - Astrometry : "[INFO] Solver complete. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452005 --- Comment #5 from kot040...@gmail.com --- I understood what the problem is. And this is a big problem. A very long time ago I installed and selected a third party numix circle icon pack. Now I switched the icon theme to the default breeze and the problem with icons in chromium web apps is gone. I have a lot of icon themes installed, I tried to switch them and noticed a peculiarity. Icon themes with few icons do not have this bug. But in those icon themes in which many icons are drawn, this bug appears. How can this situation be corrected? I want to use a third party icon theme and have normal icons for chromium web apps. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 452088] New: Mixed up creation time and time of import
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452088 Bug ID: 452088 Summary: Mixed up creation time and time of import Product: digikam Version: 7.6.0 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Import-Albums Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: pkt...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY After importing a set of images from SD card, the time of import is displayed as the creation date of some images. This happened with 15 images while 35 others were shot on the same day. The complete set consisted of 92 images. I also enabled 'Use file metadata' as suggested here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446632 , but creation times are still wrong. The import dialog displays correct creation times. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Import a set of images into an existing album. The album contains some non-empty subfolders, but is otherwise empty. 2. Observe creation date of images. (Unfortunately I'm not sure, if this ever happened before with any other set of images.) OBSERVED RESULT Example: * The image is imported at around 2022-03-30T18:38:56 (UTC). * The image is imported with option '[date]_[file]', so the creation datetime is encoded also in the filename, '20220312T152146_DSC06802.JPG' in the example. * On import, DigiKam apparently writes '2022-03-30T18:38:56' (the time of import) as the creation and digitization datetime in its database (sqlite, table ImageInformation). Checked with DB Browser for SQLite. * Looking at XMP meta data: * Create Date: 2022-03-30T18:38:56+00:00 (This is wrong) * Modify Date: 2022-03-12T14:21:46+00:00 (Modification can't be earlier than creation...??) * Date and Time Original: 2022-03-30T18:38:56+00:00 (Also wrong) * My file browser returns the correct 'date taken' (2022-03-12T14:21:46) on disk and also on the original SD card. EXPECTED RESULT Creation date not mixed up with date of import. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452085 Bug ID: 452085 Summary: low density auto brush preview show an unnecesarily complicated shape that slows the cursor Product: krita Version: 5.0.2 Platform: Appimage OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: OpenGL Canvas Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: kaer...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY the outline shape in preview outline mode shows a very complicated outline for auto brushes that have a low density setting. it results in a slower cursor on canvas. this looks like a new behavior, the former was showing a simple shape (ellipse or rectangle) without the density parameter showing on the brush preview outline, which moved at the same speed as the cursor. a half workaround is to uncheck "show outline" while painting, which at least lets paint at normal speed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. set settings > configure > general > cursor >outline shape in preview outline 2. use a pixel brush with auto shape and low density 3. move the very complicated cursor on the canvas OBSERVED RESULT the cursor is slow and complicated EXPECTED RESULT the previous behavior was showing only the brush outline without the noise of low density, and was much quicker SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: xubuntu 20.04 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: i don't know ADDITIONAL INFORMATION my machine is pretty old (about 10 years) so maybe it's something not as noticeable with modern hardware, but the previous behavior worked great and was sufficient for low density brushes. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Platform: Compiled Sources OS: All Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Color models Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: gbird...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Version: 5.0.2-alpha (git ca4f0c8) (Krita Plus) SUMMARY Before I worked with a sRGB monitor, but recently I switched to a wide gamut DCI-P3 monitor (calibrated) and noticed that my exported PNG and JPG looks washed out/desaturated a bit on Twitter. My first reaction was that Twitter probably uses some crappy conversion to sRGB and I just exported PNG with wide gammut profile attached to it. I tried converting image to sRGB 8bit, but it already was in sRGB profile (the one named Default) and 8bit. Then I tried to use exporter options: "Embed sRGB profile" and "Force convert to sRGB". None of this worked, and the same problem is with JPG. For now the only thing that works is either exporting to WebP for Twitter and for the Instagram convert my PNG using this online tool https://www.online-convert.com/. I also tested it with GIMP and it had the same problem. My guess is that some library that both program use is bundling my monitor ICC to the file even if I manually convert, or force sRGB, and then social media detects it and do their crappy conversion. I attach my PNG JPG and WebP for tests. I also include screenshot how it behaves on my setup. It's a twitter post creation window, on the left is WebP export on the right PNG and JPG. You can see images on the right are a bit desaturated. Extra info. My other software like ImageGlass, Windows Image Viewer or even Paint don't have this problem, only some web based software like Gumroad as well. Product: kdeconnect Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: All Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: lnx...@westlot.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY It would be nice to have a buffer for sending items to other devices that may not be powered on or on the network at the time you have something to send. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Be on a device 2. Have something you want to send to another device which may be powered off, or you may be away from your home network. OBSERVED RESULT Need to use some other method to save the item (Simplenote, etc.) EXPECTED RESULT Click on Share via KDEConnect and the item is saved in a local buffer to be transmitted when the other device is powered on, or we connect to the home network. Well, I'm still in bed and so is my desktop because I haven't powered it on yet. I'm left with having to use Simplenote to share the link, but would prefer to use KDEConnect. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[lattedock] [Bug 452081] New: Wayland: left-click on launchers in dock's task manager don't launch apps, but scroll-up does
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452081 Bug ID: 452081 Summary: Wayland: left-click on launchers in dock's task manager don't launch apps, but scroll-up does Product: lattedock Version: git (master) Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: application Assignee: mvourla...@gmail.com Reporter: andre.vma...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I'm using Latte master on Wayland on NixOS unstable (notice this is a little different from other systems, so I hope it's not a packaging issue), with a top bar with utilities, and a bottom bar with launchers and a couple widgets. I have a weird issue: I can't launch nor activate programs by clicking on launchers. After hovering, on first left-click, I can see a darkening effect on icon, but no bounce nor app. Later clicks while still hovering don't cause this effect anymore until leaving and hovering again. Ctrl+Left-click doesn't work. Left-click on widgets on the same and other bar works and activate the respective widgets. Scrolling up over the launcher DOES launch the app though, and is my current workaround. Right-click works as intended. Tested this with a fresh user, same issue. It does not occur on X11 on the same system. Any idea what can be causing this only on Wayland? Thank you very much in advance. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch fresh Latte master on NixOS Wayland (bottom dock with some launchers) 2. Left-click on Dolphin to try to launch it OBSERVED RESULT Icon gets darken effect on first click, then nothing, no bounce, no app launched, no darkening on new clicks until leaving and hovering again. Launcher gets properly activated if scroll-up instead. EXPECTED RESULT App gets launched, or switched on left-click SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: NixOS unstable (reported as 22.05) KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[KDE Itinerary] [Bug 451975] Feature requests
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=451975 --- Comment #3 from Volker Krause --- * Notifications for the next actions Yep, already planned. * Generating calendar events Code for this exists and is used in the KMail plugin, but it's not available inside the app yet indeed. * Manually adding elements Definitely needed as a fallback, currently being done for trains backed by online journey queries, for flights we don't have that so that would probably need to be a full free-form entry. * Flight times This sounds like the import was only based on the boarding pass barcode (those contain only the day of flight, not the time, and e.g. no airport names). If the details are in the Apple wallet pass that was apparently the source here, it's probably a small extractor fix to get to that, given the source file. If times are properly extracted they will show up in the timeline, which should fix the described problem. * Barcode formats We try to preserve the format found in the source. Offering a way to change the format would be straightforward, as we store the content rather than the barcode image anyway. However so far all airport scanners I have encountered support at least QR, Aztec and PDF417. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
