[kmymoney] [Bug 453922] New: Decimal and thousands separators in ordinate axis labels are missing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453922 Bug ID: 453922 Summary: Decimal and thousands separators in ordinate axis labels are missing Product: kmymoney Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: reports Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org Reporter: tbaumg...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Source of this request: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=69=174795 (though it bugs me too every now and then) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open networth report (with networth > 1000) OBSERVED RESULT Labels on y-axis do not contain thousand separator and are hard to read (e.g. 100). The same is valid for labels on the graph and tooltips. EXPECTED RESULT All values are displayed with thousand separators for better readability (e.g. 1.000.000 or 1,000,000 depending on the actual character used in the locale). Removing trailing decimal separator with only zeroes following is valid. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Comment in current implementation contains the following comment: // convert label to double just to convert it back to string with desired precision // but without trailing zeros, separator, or decimal point which was added with https://invent.kde.org/office/kmymoney/-/commit/5e4c8322 which fixes bug #420767 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[konsole] [Bug 453568] "clear scrollback and reset" places cursor at wrong position
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453568 Kurt Hindenburg changed: What|Removed |Added Latest Commit||https://invent.kde.org/util ||ities/konsole/commit/9dadb7 ||b562e9ecbffa107c9fcd2616661 ||dbe626f Resolution|--- |FIXED Status|REPORTED|RESOLVED --- Comment #3 from Kurt Hindenburg --- Git commit 9dadb7b562e9ecbffa107c9fcd2616661dbe626f by Kurt Hindenburg, on behalf of Luis Javier Merino Morán. Committed on 16/05/2022 at 22:51. Pushed by hindenburg into branch 'master'. Fix regression preserving tcsh command prompt Commit c3b3ef19 introduced a regression when invoking the clear-history-and-reset action. While RIS (Reset to Initial State) is specified in DEC STD-070 as homing the cursor, konsole has grown some hacks in the name of usability to preserve the command prompt line. For a long time, it has sent two SIGWINCH with changed sizes after clear and reset actions to force the shell to redraw the prompt (see d346a2cc, temporarily disabled on 5d61b69e and re-added on 82778e87), which works for bash, zsh, ksh, ... tcsh doesn't redraw its prompt on SIGWINCH, but commit b8e96bcd modified Screen::refresh() so instead of clearing the entire screen and homing the cursor, it scrolled up everything but the last (usually the prompt) line. So, keep that last hack when called from clear-history-and-reset, and behave as specified on DEC STD-070 otherwise. Note that other ways of clearing the screen don't need hacks, e.g. Ctrl-L, if handled at all, is handled by the shell, which then redraws its prompt. Calling "clear" or invoking "printf '\ec'" will result in the shell redrawing its prompt in the usual way. [dolphin] [Bug 453890] Umount icon shown on internal drives
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453890 --- Comment #1 from guimarcalsi...@gmail.com --- Can you describe why's that an issue? Describe your usecase, how and why removing the icon would improve the situation. I'm not a KDE developer, but generally that kind of information helps developers figure out the optimal path for fixing an issue, or even figuring out if an issue is actually an issue or not. If the behavior I see on my computer is the same as on yours, I don't think that showing the icon for internal drives would necessarily be a bad thing. Usually the drives that show the icon (at least on my PC) are mounted on-demand. For instance, I have an NTFS partition for sharing files with Windows and I set those partitions to be auto-mounted on login from System Settings. That partition can be unmounted using that icon even if it's in an internal hard drive. Personally, I haven't found a reason to unmount internal drive partitions, but I'm sure there must be some kind of edge usecase out there for wanting to do that from Dolphin. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 16/05/2022 at 19:28. Pushed by mwein into branch 'master'. Make tree indentation of Layers docker configurable 100% of the thumbnail size just takes too much space for many people, leaving little space (or even none at all) for a layer name. It now has a range of 20% to 100%, adjustable with a slider below the thumbnail size slider. While at it, remove a hack to update the view layout and slightly optimize the delegate. Also a few small quirks were fixed: - the settings button did now update on theme changes - the slider styling did not update on theme changes due to style sheets - the thumbnail slider did not update the setting unless dragged with the mouse; mouse wheel and keyboard shortcuts failed to do so. [frameworks-solid] [Bug 453894] Disk can be ejected while files on it are still being read from or written to
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453894 --- Comment #7 from Julius R. --- Thanks for the clarification. I do believe, this bug report should be closed as resolved now? Reason: As you described KDE is aware of file operations and disallows unmounting (as it should), when there are operations running (like copying). My point is a different one: That it can lead to unwanted behaviour, if a mounted drive gets unmounted accidently, if other software relies on it. For example, a browser does not start anymore, when the config files have been stored on that particular drive, which is mounted at boot. There is also no file-operation in my case of data-loss, which was a critical bug in synologys software (I circumvented this now with a little script, that kills the synology client, whenever it detects, that the drive is no longer mounted). So, summarized a) There is no way for the system to anticipate the complications described above. They just happen and are not related to file operations. b) When the majority of users is fine with the eject icon luring dangerously over every mounted drive, folder and device - then that is the way it is and it should stay. :) Thanks Nate! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwin] [Bug 449957] KWin crash in KWin::PlacementArea() when disabling, unplugging or turning off output with windows on it
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449957 --- Comment #23 from phrxmd --- Further clarification: on 5.24.5 this crash happens only when... (a) unplugging a primary display, whether it has windows on it or not (b) unplugging a non-primary display if and only if it has windows on it E.g. on my home setting, where I have an monitor connected to the docking station that is marked primary, KWin crashes whenever I unplug the docking station, unplug the monitor from the docking station or switch off the monitor. In that situation I can avoid the crash by moving all windows off the external monitor, marking the notebook screen as primary and then unplugging the (now-secondary) monitor. It seems that it is triggered by the recalculation of window coordinates that happens either when a window is on a disabled output and needs to be placed somewhere else, or when the primary display goes down. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[okular] [Bug 453910] New: Allow the immediate combination of highlighting with pop-up notes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453910 Bug ID: 453910 Summary: Allow the immediate combination of highlighting with pop-up notes Product: okular Version: 22.04.1 Platform: Flatpak OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: PDF backend Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org Reporter: christian.goe...@mailbox.org Target Milestone: --- When proofreading pdf-files, a common pattern is the combination of highlighting with a pop-up note. In my use-case this applies to the majority of my own comments. (Obviously, use cases may be very different) :-) I believe it would be very useful to have an option (with an icon in the toolbar) for the combination of highlighting with a pop-up comment. Dream behaviour (of the future): 1. Select the (new) option "highlighting with pop-up note" in the annotation toolbar. 2. Select and highlight text (holding the left mouse key) - when releasing the mouse key, immediately open the combined pup-up note-window 3. let me type the text into the note (via keyboard) 4. bonus: the pop-up note window closes at the first left-click on the document (no close button involved) - Okular should stay in highlighting mode afterwards.Alternative: Use a much bigger close button in the pop-up note window. Currently, there are additional steps involved for combined highlight with pop-up notes: at step 2: currently one hast to select the highlighting marker, right click, choose pop-up note at step 4: close the pop-up window by clicking on the (very small) close button in the pop-up-window. Anyway, this would make the use of annotation easier. It's just a big point on my personal wishlist for Okular. :-D Keep up the great work and let me know it there is something I should ad to the description. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
