https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453941 --- Comment #2 from Michael Freeman --- (In reply to Albert Astals Cid from comment #1) > Are you using some kind of weird file system? > > https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/k3b/-/blob/release/22.04/libk3b/jobs/ > k3bcdcopyjob.cpp#L44 > > There's no KCDDB/Client there. I don't know what you mean. Your link goes to it. The build script checks for "Client.h" in directory "KCDDB". However on my Ubuntu system this library installs to the directory "KCddb" so there is a case mismatch and the build fails. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwin] [Bug 453926] When screens aren't touching in the KScreen setup UI, you can't move your cursor between them
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453926 --- Comment #4 from srga...@web.de --- I think I have to clarify, sorry. It's my first bug report. :D The border from right screen to left left screen is "normal" for me as this was the same when I was still using Windows. The border on the main screen in this case though prevents me from moving the window (on the right main screen) above the point where the second screen "docks" on the left side, even though there is enough space. With the mentioned launcher there is a hard border I can't cross dragging the launcher further up, it stops right there (where the secondary left monitors top is "docked"). Other windows have a similar behavior, but a "soft" version of it. There is a noticeable, invisible border dragging them over the point upwards (and also back down) but they kind of "clamp" on it for a short time and then jump over it. This is also annoying but at least I can get over the point. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453960 Bug ID: 453960 Summary: Downloading or removing new services for the context menu causes some entries to disappear from the list of services temporarily Product: dolphin Version: 22.04.0 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: a.skemb...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If I go to Configure Dolphin -> Context Menu there is a list of available services for the context menu. Let's call this window "Window 1". If I choose "Download New services" a new window (call this "Window 2") and do any action on Window 2 (i.e. download a service or uninstall an existing one), some of the entries in the list of services of Window 1 will disappear. The most prominent one is the entry "'Copy To' and 'Move To' commands", although I think it happens with others. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open "Configure Dolphin -> Context Menu" 2. Select "Download New Services" 3. Download (or remove) any service 4. Press "Close" on the window with the new services. OBSERVED RESULT Some of the items in the list of services in Configure Dolphin -> Context Menu disappear when the list is refreshed and are no longer visible, e.g. "Copy To and Move To commands" EXPECTED RESULT The list should show all available context menu services. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: OpenSUSE Tumbleweed KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: Frameworks 5.93 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 1) The entry disappears regardless of whether it has been enabled (selected) or not for the context menu. 2) If no action is taken in Window 2 then the bug is not triggered (so I guess it has something to do with refreshing the list?) 3) Bug occurs in at least 2 computers with the same setup 4) Closing the "Configure" window and reopening it results in all the items being listed properly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The result is different from the preview. I think it's a translucent selection problem because I clicked on the layer thumbnail to create the selection. In theory, this result may be correct: the translucent selection selects only part of the image. The adjusted part will be mixed with the original image to show a new color. But the problem is: 1. [frameworks-solid] [Bug 453894] Disk can be ejected while files on it are still being read from or written to
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453894 --- Comment #9 from Julius R. --- (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #8) > That shouldn't happen. Since the system is aware of open files, if you try > to unmount a disk that has open files on it, it's supposed to prevent that > from happening. If that didn't work and you were able to unmount a disk with > open files, that's a bug. That's the bug that we're tracking with this > Bugzilla ticket. More misunderstandings :) The system is surley aware of open files, there is no bug with that. It can not anticipate that files "might" be opened or accessed soon... The inconvenience I describe happens (apart from the critical synology bug), when files are not available at a specific time, due to accidently unmounting the drive. If, to give that example again, config files (the user profile) for e.g. Firefox are stored on an encrypted drive (or in a company on a network drive) - and that drive is not available due to a user accidently and unknowingly unmounting drives, then the browser gives an error: It simply can not find the user profile. There is neither file activity before or after, there are no open file activities. The problem described is btw exactly, what happenend to my mum: She accidently unmounted the drive and then didn't know, what to do. Due to the small little change of adding an unmount icon, I - personally - experienced a critical data loss (I had backups, of course). This was a bug of a third party software, that no one could foresee. On the other hand, I also had problems with a less experienced user, that did not understand the concept of mounting and unmounting - at all. Therefore, I stand by my suggestion: Network Drives and Encrypted Drives should never ever have a "quick-unmount-icon". Unlike usb flash drives (which are used only temporarily), network drives and (un)encrypted drives are (in most use cases) an integrated part of the users workflow. They need to be accessible at all times, from boot till shutdown. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kwallet-pam] [Bug 453932] I never setup kdewallet, I just started getting prompts for password
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453932 --- Comment #2 from Bob English --- More info: After restarting it happened again, here's the message from KDE Wallet Service: "The application 'kded' has requested the wallet 'kdewallet' please enter the password for this wallet below." I never set it up, but if so I would have used a name other than the default. Again using my user password worked. Here's the message I got from Gnome evolution Email client when it opened: "Unlock login keyring. "The login keyring did not get unlocked when you logged into your computer." I had to install gnomekeyring (GPG) to use Evolution because it wouldn't accept any other keyring (incompatible) and how I have been using it for nearly a decade. Suspicion: The last update (Yesterday evening before shutdown) must have added a hard dependency for the KDE Login service, and adopted my Gnome keyring, without asking or even telling me; if so, that's unwarranted! Besides that, I can live with this new compatibility, but need to know a few things like: Can get rid of gnomekeyring, and use kdewallet instead or iscnomekeyring still required and if so how? Install and use kdewallet-manager? Some important do's and don'ts (not general, but platform specific) that may cause trouble, since I never used any of it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kate] [Bug 453944] New: Configure Filesystem Browser to show current project folder (analogous to behaviour of git window)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453944 Bug ID: 453944 Summary: Configure Filesystem Browser to show current project folder (analogous to behaviour of git window) Product: kate Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: All Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: ste...@sriha.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** Feature request: configure Filesystem Browser to show current project folder (analogous to behaviour of git window) *** The behaviour of the git window is to "follow" the currently edited file's project folder, i.e. if the file belongs to a project, then it opens the project automatically. This is great. I would like to configure the Filesystem Browser analogously, that is: open the project folder in the Filesystem Browser window automatically (if the file belongs to a project). Currently the "options" action of the filesystem browser contains an entry `automatically synchronize with current document` I like this, this works for all files, whether they belong to a project or not. However, if the *does* belong to a project, then I almost never want to go the subfolder in which the document lives. Instead, I want to go to the top-level project folder, because usually the file I actually want to navigate to lives in a different subfolder. This adds navigation overhead. Would it be possible to make an entry: `automatically synchronize with the project directory of the current file (if the file belongs to a project)` Is it possible to do this with a plugin?
