[kate] [Bug 456733] Multiple Cursor Behavior: Alt+DoubleClick, Alt+Click+Drag and SelectText + Alt+Click
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456733 Grósz Dániel changed: What|Removed |Added CC||groszdaniel...@gmail.com --- Comment #2 from Grósz Dániel --- I just found this issue as I accidentally lost my cursors after moving the mouse a bit while Alt+Clicking. As for what Kate should actually do when Alt+Dragging, there are multiple reasonable options: one is to create a new cursor and just one selection. When the new selection created by the mouse would include an existing cursor, there is another option: create equivalent selections around all existing cursors, move all cursors (except when the mouse is released right at an existing cursor), and don't create a new cursor. Likewise, Alt+DoubleClick could either select just one word or, if the word under the mouse includes an existing cursor, another option is to select the word under each existing cursor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

The issue still persisted in that version so now I'm trying the flatpak version which is Version 5.21.0 (22.08.0) and also uses KDE Frameworks Version 5.97.0 & Qt Version 5.15.5 (built against 5.15.5). [kmymoney] [Bug 458152] A question box pops up at close of reconciliation requesting that user "confirm end of reconciliation". The text says the account and the reconciled transactions differ when in
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458152 --- Comment #2 from Jeff --- Thanks for your help. Here;s the wording: You are about to finish the reconciliation of this account with a difference between your bank statement and the transactions marked as cleared. Are you sure you want to finish the reconciliation? The problem seems to be unique to the only account that I regularly reconcile (checking account). I did a sample reconciliation on another account and did not encounter the problem. [digikam] [Bug 458143] Opening a picture using OpenGL viewer generates an OpenGL error then digikam crashes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458143 --- Comment #3 from Jean-Fred --- Hi Maik, Yes, latest Intel driver was installed for MS update, and no, Intel does not provide directly any W10 driver pack for this (pretty old) adapter. As a matter of fact, the driver pack provided by MS update seems to be coming directly from Intel (driver dialog reports Package provider = Intel Corp.) - MS seems to only take care of package signature. To verify nothing is obviously wrong with my system, I ran OpenGL Extensions Viewer on my system to see what level of OpenGL is fully supported by my system. It report OpenGL 2.1 is 100% supported which should be fine for Qt5 I think. The interesting thing is that when digiKam is running normally (i.e. before calling OpenGL viewer), Process Explorer reports it is dynamically linking opengl32.dll, which probably means OpenGL Viewer and/or other part of digiKam is using openGL through "desktop" OpenGL driver I guess. Not sure however why digiKam/Qt requires libEGL.dll/opengl32ws.dll if a valid openGL driver is already present on the system as from what I understand those dlls are related to software and/or directx emulation of openGL calls... [kate] [Bug 448354] "Configure kwrite" menu entry missing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448354 --- Comment #6 from Michael Büker --- (In reply to Christoph Cullmann from comment #5) > do you have some files in > > ~/.local/share/kxmlgui5/kwrite > > ? What happens if you move that folder out of the way for a test? Yes, there is a file there named kwriteui.rc, which is about 100 lines of XML. When I move this file away, two things happen: 1. The missing "Configure kwrite …" comes back. 2. My toolbar customizations are (partly?!) reset. Both effects revert when I put the file back in place. I'm attaching the kwriteui.rc in question (note that I've never manually edited it, only fiddled with the toolbar editor in kwrite itself), as well as screenshots of both situations. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-baloo] [Bug 457335] File search is case sensitive
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=457335 --- Comment #3 from tagwer...@innerjoin.org --- (In reply to Artur Rudenko from comment #2) > This could be that newly created files remain unindexed > some time after the creation ... Yes, could be that baloo "got stuck". It relies on "iNotify" alerts to see when files are created, deleted or changed - and there are times when baloo misses something. A "balooctl check" brings things back up to date for new or changed files. Purging the index and reindexing is the "start again from scratch" solution. In general though baloo should be quick at noticing new files and changed file details. It knows "content indexing" is harder work and queues up "full text" indexing (something you can watch happening with a "balooctl monitor") > ... Maybe it would be better if dolphin did > fallback to the classic search when baloo can't find needed files? I'm not sure how Dolphin would know that baloo has not indexed particular files. It *does* check what folders baloo is indexing and whether baloo is enabled and "falls back" to it's internal search if it thinks baloo hasn't indexed the folder. That can be messy - Bug 424871, 4th comment shows how messy. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453994 breakingsp...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||breakingsp...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from breakingsp...@gmail.com --- For bookkeeping here, i've opened an MR to address this border/spacing preference with a borderless toggle instead of a granular value as before: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kwin/-/merge_requests/2806. Also, not the place for a discussion but: >It seems like over-configurability Being funny: If we're talking about over-configurability, let's look at the old Present Windows effect before it was reworked :) Being serious: Over-configurability out of the box is what gives KDE so much "ability" in my eyes over any other DE. Many settings could be streamlined and refactored, sure, like the simpler toggle I'm proposing for the grid width, but removing settings/preference ability and calling it a day isn't really cool. This was definitely a regression! Being sentimental: For years I ran other DEs with Kwin_X11, just for the light-years-ahead effects and settings available in the compositor, and for the last 2 years it's been the entire KDE stack for me. I'm a fan of the Desktop Grid in particular and how it blew traditional multitasking out of the water, and still does even as we're building it back up after this QML rewrite. The QML rewrite's goal was to be as transparent as possible to the end user, and we're getting there, but I think every removed feature should be reconsidered if someone speaks up about it! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[valgrind] [Bug 458118] Track deletions of objects from unloaded shared libraries
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458118 --- Comment #2 from Michael Barth --- (In reply to Paul Floyd from comment #1) > Does --keep-debuginfo=yes make any difference? > > Also can you provide a small example that reproduces the issue? This does not make any difference for me. Here is an example repo: https://github.com/Spirrwell/so_unload_delete_demo It is worth noting that when using --leak-check=full, valgrind does pick up on the fact that there's a leak relating to dlclose in this example. But only when these two things are side-by-side in such a small example would I be able to see the relation between the two. While debugging this big old application, I had a giant wall of leaks and I was trying to debug what I THOUGHT was heap corruption, but was simply this shared library unloading issue. So having ANY little extra hint that this kind of problem occurred would be quite useful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Exported all my feeds, moved akregator configs & files in .config and .local/share. Started akregator and it seemed like a clean slate so I deleted the default feeds and re-imported my old feeds. Seemed okay for awhile, but eventually it started happening again. And it's not just youtube feeds, random blogs and podcast feeds also show up in youtube feeds and vice versa. Gonna try downgrading further (to oldest one that will still run) and see if that fixes it, will report back. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=362058 r0y changed: What|Removed |Added CC||myr...@gmx.com Status|REPORTED|CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #6 from r0y --- I believe I am experiencing this on Kubuntu 22.04 LTS (since installing in Apr 2022, and through various updates). If it is a short sleep, no issues. If it is longer than a few minutes, the secondary monitor "forgets" the wallpaper and sets the default one. My main monitor is a 2K via DP, secondary is a FHD via HDMI. It is a custom-built PC (desktop, mid-tower). Apologies for the "below tech" addition here, just wanted to add Kubuntu 22.04 into the mix. DM is in a dark theme, but I've set the wallpapers in both dark and light themes, and still experience this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458062 --- Comment #6 from Albert Astals Cid --- I guess the issue is that your fontconfig is broken and you don't get a proper substitution for the ZapfDingbats font. Can you attach a screenshot of file->properties->fonts after opening the saved file? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
