Sometimes it gets permanently stuck at 60hz, display configuration does not
allow changing refresh rate. I could reproduce this once by disconnecting DP
cable from graphics card and plugging it back in. Doing it again somehow does
not produce this issue for now. At this time FreeSync is disabled edid is not
used.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S9 with /e/OS 1.4 (Android 10) running KDE Connect
1.19.1 (from F-Droid).

Thanks for the hint about excluding that directory, it should definitely do the
trick.

What's strange is that this behaviour is new : I've been using the same setup
(PC + phone + KDE Connect + Back In Time) for years, and only recently started
to have that issue. 🤔

Unfocused settings window with bug shown

SUMMARY
Some Qt input fields, along with the title bar text of unfocused windows are
transparent/translucent, showing the wallpaper or window behind their window.
This does not occur when kwin is temporarily killed, and occurs with any
Aurorae and Qt themes, as well as the Lightly application style. 
This happened when I reinstalled the newest release of Endeavour OS, and has
not happened to me before.

Seems the KDE Plasma desktop totally misses the Screen Saver feature now?

And I'm talking not about Screen Energy Saving, but about the classic Screen
Saver feature, when on some timeout of inactivity some app starts showing some
good stuff. Can't find any feature requests related to this, so posting a new
one.

It's very useful for using KDE Plasma as a media center, for example, to
slideshow photos from a user's photo album, when it plays background music, or
to show some equalizer animation from the sound output channel. And for a
desktop computer at an office or home - it's a cool feature too!

So, what are the reasons why this feature is missing in modern KDE Plasma
releases? Are there any blockers or hard things with the implementation of this
feature?

Opened Elisa and began scrollling through Album view. Crashed after scolling

What phone brand and model do you use? As Nico says, the desktop code just uses
the random id given by Android. I don't see any repeated strings in your
examples so I don't think it's a matter of the name being repeated, I'd guess
Android really is handing over super strange strings.

In reality, my best suggestion is to just exclude this directory from your
backup. IMO it doesn't have much value to back up anyway since you always have
the live version on your phone (so already two copies) and there are better
ways to backup contacts (some way which includes the ability to restore them,
for instance).

I can still reproduce the bug with that commit reverted, so it doesn't seem to
be related.

Unfortunately I can't systematically perform a git bisect (or even downgrade
individual frameworks packages to figure out which one is responsible) since I
could not figure out how to downgrade only a single frameworks package without
downgrading all the other frameworks as well. I'm experimenting with reverting
various likely-looking commits (I'm looking at plasma-framework right now), but
it is a slow process since it takes a day or so for the issue to show up on my
system.

I don't think this is a duplicate. The monitor I have connected is always the
same. What it's doing is resetting to the default 60hz each time instead of
what I've set (144hz).
This involves no disconnecting or reconnecting monitors and only uses the
meta+p shortcut.

Still relevant with Plasma 5.25.5 on Ubuntu 22.10.

I can work around the problem by dragging the scaled display and re-aligning
(re-sticking) to the side of the non-scaled one. So the issue might be in the
initial positioning when the re-scale is applied.

The value in the bluetooth applet comes directly from bluez. The value in the
battery applet and the low battery notification come from upower (which in turn
gets it from bluez). It could well be that those two report different values
sometimes

SUMMARY

Every time i use VScodium or brave browser everything i type gets very buggy
and lagged. sometimes resulting in doubled letters or some not registering. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use a chroeium application (Brave/VSCode(ium))
2. type
3. wait for your characters to appear

OBSERVED RESULT
Laggy and incorrect typing experience

EXPECTED RESULT
perfect and instant typing

upower -d

I run command "upower -d" in moment my headset is connected. In this moment
battery level is 100% (shown by bluetooth plasmoid).

I downloaded today's nightly and was able to reproduce the crash. This time;
however, Krita created this report, ending with Krita did not close correctly.

SUMMARY

Using the latest flatpak I'm unable to connect to a MySQL database. The driver
does not appear to be included in the flatpak.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install flatpak
2. attempt to connect to mysql database


OBSERVED RESULT

Driver missing error is presented to user.

EXPECTED RESULT

Connection to database completed.

I'd love to see an option in kclock where I can tap on one of the extra clock
locations in time tab and have the "x hours ahead/behind" switch to the current
date in that location.

I *think* this was still an issue on 5.25, but I'm currently on 5.26 + NVIDIA
520.56.06 drivers, so I'm affected by another bug that forces me to temporarily
use disman+kdisplay to be able to toggle any displays at all after the
environment starts. I'll try to get you the data on just kscreen this weekend.

SUMMARY

Using the latest Appimage, I cannot enter text in the captions fields without
the keyboard shortcuts overriding my typing. For instance, using the letter t 
or the space bar, moves me to tag entry or navigates me through pictures
instead of entering text in the text box.

Removing the navigation keyboard shortcuts renders the keystrokes unusable. 
For instance, removing the Backspace action means that I cannot backspace to
remove text that has been entered, no text manipulation occurs at all.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install latest appimage
2. Select photo
3. Navigate to Right toolbar, Captions
4. Attempt to enter caption in any textbox.

OBSERVED RESULT

Keyboard shortcut commands take over and force navigation instead of text being
entered in box

EXPECTED RESULT

Text showing up in box.
