Also this seems to only happen to some particular photos. I guess it's related
to EXIF orientation or some other metadata, as photos shot with one device may
encounter this bug, but those shot with another device won't.

The offending page is managed by PagePool and PagePoolAction. If I manually
clear() the PagePool before quitting app, it won't crash. It all comes down to
