[palapeli] [Bug 474675] Unable to create a new jigsaw puzzle.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474675 --- Comment #4 from oziwond...@gmail.com --- Hello. I am fairly new to Linux, reporting bugs, and using gmail. As I said in my report, when I tried to create a new puzzle, a file manager window opened, but no folders or files showed. I tried several times. A few of those times, the program crashed. This morning, the program behaved like it before: i.e. the file manager opened, but no folders or files showed. As a work around, I installed the "system package". I had installed the "Flatpak." The "system package" program works the way it should. I would have imagined that you would have been able to duplicate the problem on your own machine. I tried to read how to give you a "crash backtrace", but found that it was not easy to understand. So. For the time being, I will be content using the Palapeli system package instead of the Flatpak. In any case, it is not clear to me what the advantages of the Flatpak are. It takes up more space and it takes longer to load the program. I can't imagine that I am the only person experiencing this problem. In any case, thank you for your attention. Sorry to have bothered you. [plasmashell] [Bug 474795] New: [X11] xsettingsd's Plasma-started instance has no effect on Flatpak'd GTK applications
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474795 Bug ID: 474795 Summary: [X11] xsettingsd's Plasma-started instance has no effect on Flatpak'd GTK applications Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Startup process Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: ferenos...@outlook.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY After logging in, KDE Plasma successfully launches xsettingsd as expected. However, this same instance of xsettingsd appears to do literally nothing to Flatpak applications. Starting xsettingsd by yourself fixes this issue... until the next time you log in with no prior running xsettingsd instances. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log in 2. See xsettingsd running in System Activity 3. Open a Flatpak'd GTK application like Mozilla Firefox OBSERVED RESULT Those applications use their fallback font, whatever that may be in your context, as one example of the notable consequences of being unaffected. EXPECTED RESULT The outcome of launching xsettingsd manually. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon 5.27.5 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION May be the same bug as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426788, but the issue's too vague to be sure. [Powerdevil] [Bug 461479] Backlight briefly flashes to full brightness on screen wake
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461479 --- Comment #8 from Dan Robinson --- Just confirmed it does still happen with or without the screen lock according to inotify-wait, but it's not as visible usually if there's no lock screen enabled. For some reason it also seemed more visible on an X11 session despite the actual reported numbers from inotify-wait being the same, but that might be because due to the display scaling there was more light-colored area visible on my display. This is current to 5.27.7. Don't have a 6 build handy to check, if you need that I'm happy to do it but I'm on a Sandy Bridge i7 so that's going to take some time to build, and if Nate says it's broken anyway I probably won't invest that time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 474793] New: Krita crashing, currupting files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474793 Bug ID: 474793 Summary: Krita crashing, currupting files Classification: Applications Product: krita Version: 5.1.5 Platform: Android OS: Android 13.x Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: lola.sarro...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Krita on Tablet 2. Create File size 30,000kb or more (40,000kb is when the file becomes un-openable because any change like a brush stroke will cause it to crash). 3. Attempt to 'flip layer horizontally' or some transformation to that effect 4. After a time, even doing simple processes, such as using a brush, moving a layer, or even exporting the file as a jpeg, will cause krita to crash. 4. Watch krita crash and corrupt your file after like the 3rd attempt. OBSERVED RESULT: Krita crashes - closing the app and needing to be reopened. Occasionally, upon this happening anywhere 2-6 times, the file will typically be corrupted and unusable. EXPECTED RESULT: Krita should theoretically handle the process of transformation like mirroring without issue. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Android Version 13 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Did check to see if an update for Krita was available - but app store shows nothing to be updated. - Using a Galaxy Tab S7 - After it crashed a few times, my tablet gave a notification to the effect of 'Krita has crashed because of a bug. Please update the app'. It now has given me another notification: "Battery issue detected: Krita is experiencing frequent crashes. Recommend putting the app in deep sleep." - Have had a similar issue in the past but it fixed itself, and it wasn't to this severity. Also was on a much more complicated document. The file that currently causing the bulk of the issues is still a sketch with 6 layers. 1 color, one brush type. - Issues seems to be hit or miss between documents - some heavy documents are okay, others struggle immensely -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I urge the developers to fix this so clicking on a hyperlink to another pdf opens an new tab whilst keeping the original document open/avialable in its own tab. I appreciate this may be a lot of work. I would love to use Okular to present at an upcoming conference, but cannot because of this its current behaviour (my presentation file has lots of hyperlinks to othet pdf files). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Perhaps > Krita fails to write all the frames there? Hey Dmitry! No, it says I've got around 300 GB of free space in D:, so it can't be that So, I went and tried to render the GrimmDross animation again, and found that the frame files, rather than 0001, 0002, etc. were instead starting from 0633 (ending at 0814). Likely given that originally the keyframes were around that number in the .kra file. But thing is, I'd moved the animation to frame 0 a while ago I also checked with a test animation I have, and likewise the frame files start at 0024, corresponding with the animation in the .kra file (and ending at 0084). But for some reason, when I click OK on the error popup, rather than remove all the frame files, it leaves 0024-0047 intact, which matches the duration of the first keyframe Later though, I thought maybe the error was because one of the folders in the path has an accented letter (í), so I tried rendering it in a different folder, but I still get the error Additionally, I tried setting the Animation Cache to "on-disk", but still nothing -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 474788] New: Render to network folder / UNC path not possible
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474788 Bug ID: 474788 Summary: Render to network folder / UNC path not possible Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: mb_kde-b...@steax.net Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 161804 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=161804=edit Render to UNC path fails.. SUMMARY Using UNC path notation, to render a file directly to a network folder does not work. The path to file will be created on the root of the installation drive of Kdenlive, not respecting the \\server\ UNC notation. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open render dialog and use "\\my-windows-nas\e$\tmp\my-rendered-video.mp4" as output file. 2. Start rendering OBSERVED RESULT The finished file be located on the LOCAL drive instead of the network folder. The resulting path to the file is "D:\e$\tmp\my-rendered-video.mp4" for me (since Kdenlive is running from "D:\bin\av\kdenlive\.." I guess). You can already see in the rendering dialog, that the path is messed up somehow, since the output file is displayed as: "/e$/tmp/my-rendered-video.mp4". I just found the resulting folders + file by accident on the root of local drive D:\. EXPECTED RESULT The resulting file should be written to the network location I specified, not a random local drive. \\my-windows-nas\e$\tmp\my-rendered-video.mp4 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Win10 Pro -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
