Now after another relogin, brightness and power levels don't work anymore, also
I noticed blocking sleep & screen locking in the Systray menu only work if I
apply it a second time?
I disabled auto-dim which with this update gets enabled by default 5min.
I applied your powerdevil.desktop workaround on top.
I will tell reboot and tell the outcomes, next try again with only the timeout
edit, try again with  your powerdevil.desktop workaround.
Repeat these steps with the Stable update roll of Manjaro.
If all fails I will downgrade again.
Might take me a while and some ease but I will give feedback.

While hopin' this gets fixed in the meanwhile.

Actually for me the symptoms are a bit different: the colors get very dim.

With the new 8.2.0 pre-release Windows installer build with VCPKG+MSVC

SUMMARY
Any servicemenus that aren't the built in ones don't appear to work or show up
in dolphin's context menus. They show up in preferences and if you right-click
on that servicemenu's .desktop file, but that's it.

In addition, right clicking on a servicemenu's .desktop file and selecting its
context menu action crashes Dolphin.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin with custom servicemenus installed in
~/.local/share/kio/servicemenus
2. Right click in any situation where the right click menu should show a custom
servicemenu

OBSERVED RESULT
Servicemenus are absent from right click menu unless rightclicking on the
servicemenu file itself
Servicemenus show up in the configure>context menu tab and can be managed from
there, but changing any settings there for any non-builtin servicemenus doesn't
appear to have any effect.

EXPECTED RESULT
Servicemenus show up in context menus like they do in previous releases of
Dolphin.

Correction: this may not be a regression. The bookmark shortcut in my IDE was

I was trying to use my IDE's shortcut for showing bookmarks, Ctrl+Alt+F11, and
instead noticed that KDE had frozen. After fumbling with the keyboard without
any feedback from the OS, the system ended up rebooting into grub. This is a
regression, because Ctrl+Alt+F11 worked as intended about a month ago (showing
bookmarks in WebStorm).

I don't quite understand the point of Ctrl+Alt+F11 nowadays
(https://askubuntu.com/a/280687/116961), but it would be nice to be able to
remove that shortcut, as I have more interest in using my IDEs bookmarks than
in freezing the desktop. However, it's not listed in System Settings ->
Shortcuts when I type "F11".

In System Settings -> Workspace -> Shortcuts, searching for a string then
backspacing the last few characters may no longer show the shortcuts matching
the prefix of that string. This apparently happens because one of the items in
the middle panel gets selected, and that filters the results. This is easy to
miss by the user (I missed it when recording the screencast several times, and
only noticed it when watching the recording)

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to System Settings, Shortctus
2. In the "Search..." field, type "f". Notice the many matches.
3. Continue typing "1", for "f1". Notice 3 matches.
4. Continue typing "2", for "f12". Notice one match.
5. Now press backspace. Instead of the 3 matches from step 3, only 2 will be
shown.
6. Press backspace once more. Instead of the many matches for "f", only 9 will
be shown.

SUMMARY
I would like to use layouts "us+typo,ru:2+typo" and I can't select them in
System Settings. When I edit my ~/.config/kxkbrc manually, typographic layouts
work as expected: I can type special symbols using lv3 switch for both us and
ru, though the indicator on the panel does not know how to display such complex
layouts as "ru:2+typo" and just outputs the whole name, colliding with the
neighbors. I have also experienced a crash of System Settings with these
layouts in place

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit ~/.config/kxkbrc to have LayoutList=us+typo,ru:2+typo in [Layout]
section
2. In System Settings -> Input Devices -> Keyboard add a random layout, Apply,
remove it, Apply
3. Click around and observe how the Plasma can't handle display of such
completely valid otherwise layouts

OBSERVED RESULT
Colliding text in the panel, crashes

EXPECTED RESULT
I see the flag of the great US of A in the panel with "us+typo" layout and the
Motherland flag with "ru:2+typo" layout in place

Yet another update: when I reported the problem, I was using a hybrid graphics
system (nvidia dGPU and intel iGPU) with dynamic switching (optimus). I tried
disabling my iGPU and I discovered that the problem occurs on both screens,
instead of just on the external monitar. So this is probably a problem related
to nvidia.

I'm no longer on Tumbleweed (for now). Using Endeavour. Just today I decided to
see if I still have the problem by disabling my startup script that runs
`kwin_x11 --replace` on login. A little while later, kwin froze.

Just thought it was worth mentioning that it still exists and it's not isolated
to a single distro.

It's hard to replicate, and maybe it's something related to flatpak, I don't

Exactly that. My impression of that box is that it was supposed to change the
language of the software... perhaps I misunderstood that.
Indeed, for programmers, most use english based systems, to prevent bugs (for
example, AppArmor has bugs  if system is run on portuguese) and also to make it
easier to follow command line tutorials (some of them change commands in other
languages, what breaks scripts).
So, for graphic interface, we mostly change the language of each application
directly.
If that box is not supposed to change the language of okular, then it explains
why I'm stuck at english "signed by" field.

I just realized that this happens for all windows placed on the external
monitor (they turn extremely dark), and has nothing to do with firefox.

Reset lock complete variable after lock

adfae58490b4b2307221fa4e45465948b749937b changed the greeter to notify
out of band that the lock has been successfully lifted.

s_lockProcessRequestedExit represents the state between unlock occurring
and the greeter exiting. This was not reset when we next showed the
lockscreen.

A symptom amongst others is that the grace locker would be broken if
used after a successful lock.

Okular doesn't do any font selection for PDF files, poppler does, so if at all

I don't see anything that can explain this. RPATH is not mentioned. As far as I
understand the default cmake behavior is that RPATH is used during build but
removed during install, so no special treatment should be necessary.

systemd logs

Can confirm with the exact same setup, when using kwin_wayland as the wayland
compositor, I cannot enter the password. The mouse still works. This problem
does not occur when using the default weston compositor.

The logs are generated by setting QT_LOGGING_RULES=*.debug=true.

SUMMARY
The "Configure Icons and Toolbars"  pop-up in kcm_style is too small to fit all
the text in many languages. Some of the affected languages include French,
Catalan, Portuguese, Danish and Italian.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run 'LANGUAGE=pt_BR kcmshell6 kcm_style'
2. Click on the button on the header that corresponds to "Configure Icons and
Toolbars"

OBSERVED RESULT
The text is too large to fit a small pop-up

EXPECTED RESULT
Pop-up resizes to fit

SUMMARY
I'm quite new to Krita (and I already LOVE it !) so I'm editing preferences a
lot, especially keyboard shortcuts and pen tablet behavior. But this is very
frustrating and time consuming not to be able to test a setting just after
setting it without having to close the preferences window.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. want to change some keyboards shortcuts, for example zoom & pan
2. open preferences, edit the first shortcut (ex: zoom in)
3. I'd like to test this shortcut so I've to close this modal window
4. test shortcut and constat that it's not what you wanted
5. re-open preferences
6. re-open to "zoom canvas" section
7. edit shortcut

This have to be done for every shortcuts used for zoom / pan

OBSERVED RESULT
It's very long and boring

EXPECTED RESULT
Non-modal preferences windows would allow me to test settings while I edit them
(like any other softwares I'm using everyday)

The wayland session has been renamed to just plasma, instead of plasmawayland.
Could you try that to see if it works?

Also, would you be able to provide your full sddm configurations?
