However, a user that has not ever finished the process of bug-reporting would probably not think that to be strange because they might well have not used Bugzilla or GitHub/GitLab previously. Consequently, I believe that explanation of why the report failed is important to ensure that they do not not report any bugs again. I'll close this bug. Reopen when another session gets > corrupted like this in the future. Because of what you said, I created a new session by invoking “kdevelop -n”. It operated. I subsequently deleted that session, and kdevelop correctly allowed me to continue with the previously created test-session. That session operated. However, if I attempt to switch to the “Default:” session, the session-corruption dialogue with the “Clear cache” button appears the first time, and does not appear the subsequent times, yet I remain unable to switch to the default session. If I delete all alternative sessions so that solely the default sessions remain, KDevelop becomes unable to launch, obviously because the default session is corrupt. Even “su -c "dnf reinstall --refresh -y 'kdevelop'"” does not remediate the problem. However, invocation of the graphical session-chooser (“kdevelop --ps”) or textual creation of a new session via “kdevelop -n” allows me to utilize kdevelop, but this may be problematic for new users. I expect that even this is not enough information for you to remediate this problem, but might this be worth reporting to Red Hat? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

SUMMARY: plasma-discover reports that every offline update of the kernel has failed, whereas nothing except plasma-discover reports this. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456770 Bug ID: 456770 Summary: Submission of report fails because too much text is included, but this is not explained by drkonqi to the user. Product: drkonqi Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: beedellrokejulianlockh...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Submission of report fails because too much text is included, but this is not explained by drkonqi to the user. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Include more than 65535 characters of text within report. 2. Attempt to submit report via drkonqi. OBSERVED RESULT “Comments cannot be longer than 65535 characters.” appears and the report that has been submitted is rejected. EXPECTED RESULT The report should be accepted, or SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Not affected. macOS: Not affected. Linux/KDE Plasma: Affected. KDE Plasma Version: All are affected, but mine is “5.25.3”. KDE Frameworks Version: Irrelevant, but mine is “5.96.0”. Qt Version: Irrelevant, but mine is “5.13.3”. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The reporter is unable to remediate their mistake because drkonqi does not allow the user to return to the previous page. This problem may be caused by how if I attempt to submit the amount of characters that I included within drkonqi's report via "http://bugs.kde.org;, solely “Comments cannot be longer than 65535 characters.” appears and consequently my submission is rejected. If submitted via "http://bugs.kde.org;, "Please press Back and try again." appears. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kde] [Bug 456320] New: Menu-bars are unable to appear.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=456320 Bug ID: 456320 Summary: Menu-bars are unable to appear. Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: beedellrokejulianlockh...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 150386 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=150386=edit Ark affected. SUMMARY: Menu-bars are unable to appear. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 1. Invoke any Qt-based software that utilizes menu-bars. OBSERVED RESULT: Menu-bars are unable to appear, and unable to be invoked by the relevant button that is possible to add to the Window-decoration. ``` dolphin Failed to register window menu, reason: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply ("Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.") ``` EXPECTED RESULT: Windows should provide menu-bars if they are programmed to. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS: Windows: Unknown whether affected. macOS: Unknown whether affected. Linux/KDE Plasma: Affected. KDE Plasma Version: “5.25.5”. KDE Frameworks Version: “5.94.0”. Qt Version: “5.15.4”. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Toolbars operate. This problem perfectly coincides with all Qt-based software that utilizes menu-bars becoming incredibly slow to invoke. This consequently excludes Spectacle. I am utilizing the Fedora 35 kernel with Fedora 36 because the newest kernel is unable to invoke. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
