I could isolate the issue. It seems to be a problem with PCLinuxOS. Setting up

Yes, this is what I tried first: play with the available resolutions ;-)
By default, the setting is on "Free Resize".

Update: Clip now plays correctly scaled/resized in project monitor but not in

No, no sidecars. GPS is directly in RAW and after development with dxo in JPG.

This only happens if the rotoscoped image has a different resolution than the
project. If the project has the same resolution than the image a transform
effect does not change the rotoscoped area.
