[plasmashell] [Bug 348960] Double click to open file/folders do not work with "icon" and "trash" plasmoids
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348960 --- Comment #16 from Giuliano --- (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #15) Thanks for replying. > > is it just a polite way to tell that KDE has no intention to allow for this > > option ? > > Effectively, yes. Sorry. > > I wrote a patch initially for this behaviour, I had to revert it because of > feedback. Nothing has changed since. I consider it way too niche for an > additional option. Although I doubt that the requirement be "too niche", for the reasons already well explained by M. Vishap, I cannot but take note. > > You can either apply > https://cgit.kde.org/plasma-workspace.git/commit/ > ?id=f9689bfcd922b652e1b50d48cabb53468a2f5d8e locally I would like to apply your patch, but my experience in doing that is very limited: may I ask you to provide some guidelines on how to download the .diff and apply it. I see that changes are quite simple and could be just applied by editing the object file, but I cannot find the "main.qml" file. Thanks in advance for your patience and help. [plasmashell] [Bug 348960] Double click to open file/folders do not work with "icon" and "trash" plasmoids
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348960 Giuliano changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gcab_d...@libero.it --- Comment #14 from Giuliano --- I fully agree with your comment. I am still having this same problem (not being able to configure desktop icons to open with 2-clicks) in Plasma v. 5.14.5 under Debian Buster. And I consider it as well highly annoying exactly for the reasons you are telling. I would like to ask KDE team what "Resolved Intentional" actually means: is it just a polite way to tell that KDE has no intention to allow for this option ? it would really be a pity for an otherwise excellent desktop. So I am confident that they want to pay attention to this issue, and thanks in advance for that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[k3b] [Bug 406622] during burning iso does not show progress
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406622 --- Comment #2 from Giuliano --- Created attachment 119473 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=119473=edit 3 screenshots I made an additional trial (with a rw disc): this time the progress indicator blocked in between. [k3b] [Bug 406622] New: during burning iso does not show progress
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406622 Bug ID: 406622 Summary: during burning iso does not show progress Product: k3b Version: 18.08.1 Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: GUI/Usability Assignee: k...@kde.org Reporter: gcab_d...@libero.it CC: mich...@jabster.pl, tr...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 119457 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=119457=edit debug report SUMMARY Burning from an iso image, everything went ok up to showing the progress window. Here, the upper window indicated the start of writing, but in the lower part the progress indicators remained at zero. I was thinking that the process was hung, when a pop-up briefly appeared enunciating that the image had been burnt, then a brief pop that no medium was found, and immediately after that the image hsd been checked successfully (I had checked for that option). Browsing the content, it looks ok, but being a bootable dvd (supergrub2) I didn't test it yet. [kdeconnect] [Bug 405788] Cannot browse handheld from desktop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405788 --- Comment #4 from Giuliano --- The problem on the PC side is that Kdeconnect has tens of dependencies to satisfy ... On the Android side instead, I don't know if there is the possibility to install a previous version, and worst, if it is possible to keep the present version (which is working well with Debian Testing release) from automatically being updated, thus probably causing the same problem in a few months. > > Il 5 aprile 2019 alle 21.28 Erik Duisters ha > scritto: > > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405788 > > --- Comment #3 from Erik Duisters --- > There's probably some ppa out there that carries the latest kdeconnect. > Other > than that you could try to compile kdeconnect yourself or bug the debian > maintainers to keep up with the versions of software they ship. > > -- > You are receiving this mail because: > You reported the bug. > -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdeconnect] [Bug 405788] Cannot browse handheld from desktop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405788 --- Comment #2 from Giuliano --- well, in fact they do not match: the one on Android is newer than the one on Debian stable (Stretch). Waiting for the new Debian release, how can the mismatch be handled ? and once they are synch'ed , how to avoid that one gets "asynchronously" updated ? > > Il 23 marzo 2019 alle 21.49 Erik Duisters ha > scritto: > > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405788 > > Erik Duisters changed: > > What |Removed |Added > > > > Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO > CC| |e.duiste...@gmail.com > Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO > > --- Comment #1 from Erik Duisters --- > What version of kdeconnect are you using (desktop and android)? > > -- > You are receiving this mail because: > You reported the bug. > -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdeconnect] [Bug 405788] New: Cannot browse handheld from desktop
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405788 Bug ID: 405788 Summary: Cannot browse handheld from desktop Product: kdeconnect Version: 1.0 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: gcab_d...@libero.it Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am running Debian 9.8 amd64 with KDE, and installed KdeConnect in the version provided by Debian. Everything works fine on the phone side (Honor 7), right upon connecting. On the desktop side, I can ring the phone and share clipboard. When trying to browse it,instead, while I correctly get the device listed on Dolphin (and Konqueror and Krusader), the content is just a folder with a strange denomination (5D67-6224). Trying to open it I get the message: "Error: The file or folder /home/giuliano/.config/kdeconnect/1ee2f76378eb5b6a/kdeconnect_sftp/1ee2f76378eb5b6a/5D67-6224 does not exist." And in fact that folder does not exist. STEPS TO REPRODUCE As said above. The error repeat always, and with the same folder name. Installing the files suggested with KdeConnect does not change the situation. OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT Being able to browse the phone is of course a major feature of such a wonderful instrument, for which I congratulate and thank you for your work. Please give some hint on how to solve the problem, even considering that the connection via usb cable does not work (the connection goes up an down), so I have no way to browse the phone.
