Update: Deleting and reinstalling kdenlive doesn't fix the issue. I'm working
with 19.08.2.

Update: I discovered that the number of timeline tracks does load, and can be
interacted with. The problem is there's nothing in them, and the dialog box
still says "Loading Clips".

oh wait no, i see what you mean.
it points to the mlt/profiles folder like you say, but the problems still
persist.
if you don't think i'm having them then i could record me trying to open and
save a file.
