https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396293 Bug ID: 396293 Summary: Selecting Window Decorations menu item reverts some settings Product: systemsettings Version: 5.13.2 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: nuc...@hotmail.de Target Milestone: --- So I don't really know what's going on with my Plasma setup, but KDE keeps reverting/changing some settings and it's annoying as hell (konsole settings, font settings, default audio device changing, etc). Not sure if this particular bug is causing all of it, but I guess I need to start somewhere. So once I select System Settings -> Application Style -> Window Decoration and then select a different system setting (wihtout changing anything), Plasma prompts the "Discard or Apply changed settings" dialog. When I press discard, my settings get changed/reverted, for example my font configuration which I have set to Full hinting and RGB, resets to "Vendor Default" (once it even changed to BGR -- dunno if it's related to this or a different bug). So are you guys also getting this? It's just really confusing and I hope this can be resolved :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I get this notification again each time after reopening system settings and getting another sound cue. Why is it switching constantly?? I just want my default device to be used all the time, no switching involved.. Also, while I don't know if it's related, my default playback device hasn't been used by Spotify automatically, but I needed to change it for Spotify manually *again*. So either I really get something wrong or setting the default audio device under KDE doesn't work correctly. Tbh I have kinda given up reporting bugs related to plasma, but here we go. Yes the bug is still occuring to me. I have tried your suggestion of adding a new user. I did it the GUI way and encountered at least 3 plasma bugs again but who cares (last time I tried out wayland it completely destroyed my regular plasma session, so I have basically given up on experimenting).
