[kpat] [Bug 474109] New: Add option to show valid moves

2023-09-03 Thread Steve Soule
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474109

Bug ID: 474109
Summary: Add option to show valid moves
Classification: Applications
   Product: kpat
   Version: 23.08.0
  Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: co...@kde.org
  Reporter: sts33n...@gmail.com
CC: kde-games-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I request that a button be added, similar to the "Hint" button, that shows
valid moves. It used to be that the "Hint" button did this, but recently kpat
has been changed so that "Hint" only shows the move suggested by the solver.
It would be nice if the user had a second button, say called "Show moves", that
shows all legal moves.

Your demand that I reproduce the bug is not reasonable, since that would
require a random number generator to produce precisely the same values as it
did before.

[kpat] [Bug 404583] Crash on close during animation

2022-09-20 Thread Steve Soule

It's tedious to try to reproduce this crash, since it only occurs at the end of
a game. I just tried it once, and kpat didn't crash. How many times do you
want me to try to reproduce it?

My current specs:
Application: kpat 20.04.2
Qt Version: 5.12.7
KDE Frameworks version: 5.76.0
Operating System: Linux 5.3.18-150300.59.93-preempt

I had this happen to me today too, with Dolphin 20.04.2, opensuse 15.2. Here's
what happened:

1. I decided I needed to free up some disk space, as I only had about 12 GB
free on my home partition. I decided to delete old mod files from the
directory ~/download/games/skyrim, which is where I download mods for skyrim.
The directory had about 200 files in it, some of them over 1 GB in size.
2. I opened Dolphin and navigated to ~/download/games/skyrim.
3. I went through the directory contents, selecting old mod files that I
wanted to delete by clicking on the "+" symbol in the upper-left corner of each
file icon.
4. I clicked on the "File" menu and then the "Delete" menu item.
5. A window appeared asking if I was sure I wanted to delete 73 files. I
confirmed.
6. I closed Dolphin.
7. A few hours later, I discovered that the directory ~/download/games/skyrim
no longer exists. All the files are gone. All subdirectories are gone.

Two torrents had finished. I closed the check boxes. I stopped them using the
right-click menu. Then I quit KTorrent from the File menu. The KTorrent
window disappeared, and twenty seconds later the crash reporter appeared. So
it's the same as last time.

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I clicked on the Application Menu, went to the Games submenu, looked at some of
the sub-submenus, realized what I wanted was actually under the Internet
submenu, and moved over to that submenu. Then the menus and the task bar
disappeared, apparently because something important crashed.

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.

[ksudoku] [Bug 384546] New: Generated killer sudoku puzzle with multiple valid solutions (ksudoku 1.3)

2017-09-10 Thread Steve Soule
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384546

Bug ID: 384546
Summary: Generated killer sudoku puzzle with multiple valid
solutions (ksudoku 1.3)
   Product: ksudoku
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: iandw...@gmail.com
  Reporter: sts33n...@gmail.com
CC: kde-games-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 107779
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=107779=edit
Screenshot showing the three-solution puzzle.

I've encountered a "killer sudoku" puzzle at the "unlimited" difficulty setting
that appears to have three solutions instead of just one. A screenshot is
attached. "Show Errors" is on, so the already-marked boxes are correct
(according to both me and ksudoku). In the 18-cage in the upper-right corner,
'7' can be in any of three boxes, and each leads to a valid solution. Ksudoku
incorrectly considers just one of these three solutions to be valid. (Please
forgive me if I'm wrong and am wasting your time.)
