[kwalletmanager] [Bug 375962] New: Setting to close kwallet when system suspends

2017-02-03 Thread H . H .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375962

Bug ID: 375962
   Summary: Setting to close kwallet when system suspends
   Product: kwalletmanager
   Version: 16.12.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: va...@kde.org
  Reporter: cyberb...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

When I check the option in kwallet settings to close the wallet, when the
screen-saver gets active, this option has no effect on suspending the system.

There should be an option for this. I almost always put my system to sleep
instead of shutting it down, so anyone could access my kwallet if I do not
explicitly close it.

Sorry, but this bug is something less-specific, so I think it will not be fix
by applying the changes from css. And I have to admit, that I looked once on
the xml files, and did not catch it.

@Marco Martin: you closed this bug as a duplicate of a bug, which was closed as
fixed on "2016-03-10" with the statement: "I am closing this bug since I never
saw it again."

This bug from me is reported against a much newer plasma-version, so it can't
be fixed.

My comment was about reverting the commit
"8d61c9c7b6f5a97803bf154529b413ee69bc2a1c", which broke the only workaround,
and so resulted in this bug. So having the possibility have xf86-input-libinput
uninstalled and having xf86-input-evdev installed is all that would be needed,
to have the workaround without the commit work.

This bug is very annoying, please revert the commit, and next time do it
without regressions.

I haven't written a fully patch yet, and also the gui part is missing
completely. If you tell me, that my work will be accepted (at least after a few
review-board iterations), I will prepare a patch for reviewboard. But I have
not enough time, to invest much time into this, and then get told, that such a
change would not be accepted in general.

[dolphin] [Bug 230244] wish for having the possibility to use only one button for switching from detail-view to icon+preview-mode

2017-06-29 Thread H . H .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=230244

--- Comment #5 from H.H.  ---
Is is possible to preview the thumbnails in detail mode now, and this is an
important step in the right direction (thanks for this!). Many of my use-cases,
especially when using the filechooser in some applications are covered by this.

But I still have to do both switches, to switch between detail-mode without
preview (which is much faster) with the smallest possible icon size, and the
thumbnails in icon mode. Use case: I prefer listing files in details mode
without preview with smallest possible icon size (with that preview only slows
down, and you can't see anything in that size). But to have a quick impression
from the images in the folder, I want to switch to preview-icon mode, because
this mode is the best option for that.

kate allows the \L modifier in single search & replace operations like
search: ="\w+\.(HTM|JPG|GIF)"
replace: \L\0
which replaces all strings like ="MYFILE.HTM" to ="myfile.htm"

The \L modifier does not work when using the batch-replacing-operation.

[dolphin] [Bug 380349] New: Some remote (sftp) files are opened via temp-file instead of remote URL although command is "kwrite %u"

2017-05-30 Thread H . H .

Bug ID: 380349
   Summary: Some remote (sftp) files are opened via temp-file
instead of remote URL although command is "kwrite %u"
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 17.04.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: cyberb...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

I am not sure, if dolphin is the right product to report against (perhaps
kio/kdelibs)?

To reproduce:
1) Open a remote directory like sftp://... in dolphin.

2) Create a file with an extension, which has currently no link to a program
(in my case it was a ".less" textfile.

3) In context menu for that file edit the properties, and create a new
extension and link a command "kwrite %u" for it.

After that, kwrite is used, but the %u is ignored (it is opened via a temp file
as if the command was "kwrite %f").

This is very uncomfortable, because changes are not uploaded immediatly. So I
have to open files everytime with "open with.." and enter "kwrite %u".

Bug ID: 387565
   Summary: Not possible to route music via bluetooth from phone,
but works with pavucontrol
   Product: plasma-pa
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: now...@gmail.com
  Reporter: cyberb...@gmx.de
CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I connected my android phone via bluetooth to my laptop, which is connected to
good speakers. I have multiple soundcards.

In plasma volume control, the phone only is displayed as a recording device. So
I cannot route it to a special sound card.

In pavucontrol it is displayed as a loopback playback device, for which I can
select the right sound card. Something like that should also work in kde.

[dolphin] [Bug 386240] New: In some cases the wrong folder is selected in folder panel

2017-10-27 Thread H . H .
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=386240

Bug ID: 386240
   Summary: In some cases the wrong folder is selected in folder
panel
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 17.08.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: panels: folders
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: cyberb...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

To reproduce:

Have a folder in your home directory like:

/home/yourhome/some/path/to/core

and also a path named "core" in the root directory:

/core

Your dolphin view should display the folder panel on the left, which is synced
to the detailed view (without trees activated).

Now, if I open the "/home/yourhome/some/path/to/core" folder in the right
panel, on the left the folder panel jumps to the "/core" folder as selection.

This is still an issue. With some file-extensions it works like expected, but
with others like ".old" or ".jsp" it does not work.

I open them from dolphin (dolphin shows the sftp://user@domain/... path). When
I open a file in kwrite, kwrite should show (you can make kwrite show the
complete path in the title-bar) "sftp://...; and not "~/.cache/..". Also saving
does not work in the last case.

Sorry, but

https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-59261

is about scrollwheel and trackpads. But what I experience is massive lag, also
by using the scrollbar with a mouse. For example: I move slowly the scrollbar
from bottom to the top, the scrollbar (and the content) follows in very big
jumps (say the resolution of the scrollbar-area maybe 1000 pixel, then the bar
follows in 200-300 pixel jumps).

I also suffer from this (kde-frameworks 5.42.0). Opening a kde-open/save dialog
from chromium takes about 10 seconds..

I also ran strace for the dialog, and maybe icons are part of the cause.

Meanwhile, getting stock prices from Yahoo Finance needs the following
parameters (in KMM settings):
URL: https://query1.finance.yahoo.com/v8/finance/chart/%1   <== NEW

The expressions for extracting price and date are unchanged:
Price: "regularMarketPrice":((\d+|\d{1,3}(?:[,]\d{3})).\d+)

2015-12-02 Thread H . H . via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 356197
   Summary: Files with other encoding than utf-8 are not displayed

  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Reporter: cyberb...@gmx.de

I try to compare two files with iso-8859-1 (german) encoding, all "umlauts"/..
are displayed as a black-diamond-question-mark-symbol.

kompare --help
lists an option:
  --e Use this to specify the encoding when calling it from the
  command line. It will default to the local encoding if not
  specified.
but this results in the error "Unknown option 'e'."

So I cannot compare other files than utf-8.

These are my locale settings:
locale
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"

I have the same problem in dolphin scrolling the files (detail-list-view): one
scroll-wheel event scrolls about half a row.

In KDE-Settings I have set it to 3 rows.

No such problems in konsole, mysql-query-browser (gtk2), eclipse (java-swt
(gtk3))

Problem appeared since my last update (opensuse tumbleweed), only some minor
kde5/qt5 upgrade.

(qt-5.6.0, newest kde version).

Often the text appears in klipper, but cannot be pasted. Workaround: click
"edit-contents" from klippper context menu, and copy the text from there.

Something wrong with the mime-type for applications which only accept text?

In kwrites options there is an option "show marks on scrollbar" (german:
"Markierungen auf Bildlaufleiste anzeigen").

I expected, if I double click a word, which is then highlighted yellow with
every occurence in that document, it is shown on the scrollbar. Same for
searches. It would be nice, if it could work like that.

See the text-search in chromium-browser how it could look.

Thanks for fixing the crash.

My original problem is still not solved. Explanation:

> In this case, the thunderbird extensions should use a more specific folder
> name. I suggest you file a bug to that extension's developer.

The problem is, that the extension can be used for thunderbird AND/OR firefox.

So the extension's developer can not know, which name to set (firefox or
thunderbird), so he built a configuration option for that name. Thats fine in
general.

I could add a "renameFolder" Method to the kwallet API and kwalletmanager.
Would it be accepted? I already had a look at the code, the method in the
backend would look similar to

bool Backend::renameFolder(const QString , const QString )
{
if (!_entries.contains(from)) {
return false;
}
if (_entries.contains(to)) {
return false;
}
EntryMap entryMap = _entries.take(from);
_entries.insert(to, entryMap);

QCryptographicHash fromMd5(QCryptographicHash::Md5);
fromMd5.addData(from.toUtf8());
QCryptographicHash toMd5(QCryptographicHash::Md5);
toMd5.addData(to.toUtf8());

QList hashList = _hashes.take(MD5Digest(fromMd5.result()));

_hashes.insert(MD5Digest(toMd5.result()), hashList);

return true;
}

I use dolphin Version 16.04.2.

What I do:
I enter some path in the right panel (detailed view, without collapsable
trees), for example
/home/myhome/.kde/

Then the path is not shown on the left folder-view panel, so it is difficult
(not user friendly) to navigate in the hidden folder-tree. I know I could
enable show hidden folders on the left panel, but this is not what I want in
general. This is a special case, where it should show the currently opened
hidden folders nontheless.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 370513] It would be nice, if the remote mouse speed could be set

2016-10-12 Thread H . H . via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370513

--- Comment #2 from H.H.  ---
I have version "Version: 1.0.1-12.2" and remote-touchpad-plugin version 0.1 and
there is no settings-button for that plugin in the kdeconnect-kcm. Is there a
newer version (not available in opensuse tumbleweed)?

[kdeconnect] [Bug 370513] New: It would be nice, if the remote mouse speed could be set

2016-10-11 Thread H . H . via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370513

Bug ID: 370513
   Summary: It would be nice, if the remote mouse speed could be
set
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: common
  Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
  Reporter: cyberb...@gmx.de

First: thank you for this great app!

For me, the mouse speed via android-touch-pad is too slow. Would it be possible
to implement a setting in the app and/or kcm to control the mouse-speed-factor?

Reproducible: Always

I have the same problem with ext sdcard, and the workaround with editing the
path to a subfolder works. Somebody has a clue, how to fix this bug?
