I have filed a bug in mailspring as this doesn't seem like a KDE software
problem.

This is a KDE problem though. If you can kindly refer it to the maintainer that
can solve it or the package related to it.

2018-12-02 Thread now-im
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=401681

Bug ID: 401681
Summary: libsecrect/ gnome-keyring not working under wayland
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.14.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: wayland-generic
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org

Mailspring error message

SUMMARY
I am not sure this is a Kwin specific bug. I use mailspring that needs
libsecrect and gnome-keyring. It does not use kwallet as it does not support
libsecret. I have edited the /etc/pam.d/login file according to archwiki in
order to unlock gnome-keyring at login.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GNOME/Keyring#Using_the_keyring_outside_GNOME
Under x session, it works fine but under wayland mailspring shows an error
message that I have included in the attachment. A similar bug has been posted
in sddm github page.
https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/1104

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Opening an app that uses gnome-keyring under wayland

OBSERVED RESULT
gnome-keyring not unlocked when starting the system.

EXPECTED RESULT
Seamless libsecret/ gnome-keyring integration when pam file is edited.

OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Right now Elisa only imports files that have sufficient metadata. This is not
an ideal situation. A lot of music files don't have metadata. They should be
listed as others the tracklist.
Ping me if you need any input.

[gwenview] [Bug 395823] New: After import don't recommend temp for save as location

2018-06-24 Thread now-im
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395823

Bug ID: 395823
Summary: After import don't recommend temp for save as location
   Product: gwenview
   Version: 18.04.2
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: importer
  Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: now.im@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When I take a screenshot and imports it to gwenview and do some editing three
options pops up.
Save, Save as and Save all
Every option recommends temp for primary saving location. Maybe the image is
located in the temp temporarily. However, saving it to the user image folder
makes the most sense.
Thanks for reading.

No touch screen. Conventional laptop. In x it works. In wayland it doesn't.
Touch to edge doesn't work. And yakuake doesn't not hide itself when i touch
otherside in the desktop.
Do you need any terminal output?

[plasma-nm] [Bug 389830] New: Encrypted WiFi password fails to auto connect at startup

2018-02-03 Thread now-im
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389830

Bug ID: 389830
Summary: Encrypted WiFi password fails to auto connect at
startup
   Product: plasma-nm
   Version: 5.11.5
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: applet
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: now.im@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

After startup PC fails to auto-connect the saved wifi login. But after clicking
the Network Manager Applet and connect it can connect to the network.

The temporary solution is:
Network Manager > Settings > (Wifi Name) > Wifi-Security > Under Passwork
selecting password for all user.

I am not sure this a bug or this is meant to be in this way by devs. Thanks for
reading.

Yes, I have kio-extras installed and preview enabled. But that previews png,
jpg, doc etc. But not svg. Is it supposed to preview svg?

Image indicates the space

Discover is now in a very stable state but there is a design decision that I
personally think is not great.
The space between the application category and app description.
The space can be reduced or can be made flexible so that user can reduce and
increase it according his/her own preference. There is a image i have used from
your todays post to clariy the problem. Thanks for all of your contribution.

[okular] [Bug 388747] New: Using cursor pointer rather than rectangle to select text

2018-01-09 Thread now-im
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388747

Bug ID: 388747
Summary: Using cursor pointer rather than rectangle to select
text
   Product: okular
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: now.im@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Okular is the best PDF reader on Linux with a flow. As a student, I have to
read various documents and copy lots of text from the file.
However, using a rectangle to select text is neither smart or not efficient. It
can't select specific word between consecutive line and I can't be sure what it
has copied unless I pasted it.
Using cursor in this sector may solve the problem. Thanks for your time.

[elisa] [Bug 387772] Stuck at configuring

2017-12-16 Thread now-im
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387772

--- Comment #12 from now-im <now.im@gmail.com> ---
okay, I left elisa open and after some time it stopped searching for track but
every time I open the app, same configure thing.
Right now there is no option to add track path. I could not open any AAC file,
thus tried to open a MP3 file. I could not open that either.
Most of my music files are in AAC format. So, it is vital that elisa can open
that.

I believe the package has all needed dependencies either directly or
indirectly. I believe the problem may be that scanning is taking a very long
time to provide user visible feedback. Let me check that and see what I can do.

NO, configuration dialog is showing and I could select my custom path. Has the
arch package lisgted all dependencies correctly?
This is the list:

baloo
kcmutils
qt5-quickcontrols
qt5-quickcontrols2
upnp-player-qt
extra-cmake-modules (make)
kdoctools (make)

Terminal log

I am not sure it is a Baloo problem or not. I am using the Arch Linux package
and kindly check if it has listed all required dependencies or not.

https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/elisa/

If not mention the package name, I will file a bug there. My problem is as
follows:

Elisa starts but only shows the configuration circle and it is stuck there. It
could not retrieve any track file info from my /home/user/music location. I
have another NTFS partition where my main music storage is located. It could
not found that either. I could not drag and drop any .mp3 or .aac file.
My question is, is .aac file supported? I have attached my terminal
information.
Thanks for this awesome project.

This is a minor UI that I have noticed many times. This is not a big deal but
we are is Plasma 5 era and UI consistency is important in user experience.
Here is the process I follow:

1. Take a screenshot using PrtScr key,
2. Export the image to Gwenview,
3. Crop the image and Save as the image in Downloads,
4. I see the UI image in the attachment.

As I have said, this is not a huge bug but it would be nice to see all round
same transition. If devs feel it is unnecessary, they can close the issue.

Lots of love and appreciation for your hard work.
