[plasmashell] [Bug 357170] plasmashell loaded longer than ksplash

Sadly this is still an issue on git version, its really painfully slow. Doesn't
matter if I have ksplash as none, plasmashell loading is still slowbut when
I run "pkill plasmashell && kstart plasmashell" the plasmashell does (re-)run
immediately ...so I assume there is some other issue

I dont have this issue with plasma 5.27 on MicroOS using nvidia RTX 3060Ti and
I used Flatpak version of firefox (110) ...and yes I'm using wayland, maybe
this has been fixed on the newer plasma? or maybe this affects other nvidia
gpu? (espcially if you have older gpu that dont get the newer/latest drivers)

[Haruna] [Bug 436834] New: some preset quality V/A settings + hardware decoding options

2021-05-09 Thread Alexander Ahjolinna
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436834

Bug ID: 436834
Summary: some preset quality V/A settings + hardware decoding
options
   Product: Haruna
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: generic
  Assignee: georgefb...@gmail.com
  Reporter: ahjoli...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: ---

(moved this bug/feature request from: https://github.com/g-fb/haruna/issues/24)

it would be nice to have some pre made video quality rendering settings and
option to choose what Hw.decoding to use or at least what codecs are allowed
(as some are just better on software)

if you don't know what settings would be good for the preset I would copy the
mpc-qt (seems to be a semi-dead project) that copy from bomi (that is really
dead project) ...sigh... to great Qt based mpv players that have died...sigh

[plasmashell] [Bug 365172] New: creating new panel crashes with multi-monitor setup

2016-07-06 Thread Alexander Ahjolinna via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=365172

Bug ID: 365172
Summary: creating new panel crashes with multi-monitor setup
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.7.0
  Platform: Chakra
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: ahjoli...@yahoo.com

only thing I tried to add was a new (default) panel to my 2nd monitor and then
my plasma crashed, except with the "empty" panel it doesn't crash...but "empty
system tray" panel crashes it also

I'm using chakraOS with plasma5.7 & Qt 5.7...anyway: here is the gdb output
(part of it): https://paste.kde.org/pslzxfajp

and "bt full" output : https://paste.kde.org/pf0cc9ylr

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have multi-monitor setup
2. add task manager (default)
3.

Actual Results:
plasmashell hard crashes at times
